I think the "queen" sized bed was actually a twin.
"Amazing resort"
The best place I've ever stayed in Illinois! Beautiful views, nice people, lots of shops in town, plenty of history, nice roads to drive. Highly recommended!
"Upgrade"
When we checked in for our 2 night stay in a Courtyard room with 2 queen beds, we were asked if we'd like an upgrade. We were upgraded, at no additional cost, to a beautiful 3 bedroom house. We couldn't believe it! It was beautifully decorated, clean, quiet, etc. etc. As my 15 year old son would say, "it was sick"! That means "awesome". "Cozy"
Stayed for one night and thought Eagle Ridge Resort was great. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was cozy and the breakfast buffet was great! The walls are a bit thin and the bedding wasn't the most comfortable but overall we had no complaints. I would recommend staying here during your visit to Galena.

"Weekend getaway to Eagle Ridge Resort"
It wasa wonderfully relaxing though rather short-lived getaway. The resort is set in the most scenic surroundings in Illinois with gently rolling hills and a beautiful golf course. The quaint little town of Galena is only a few minutes drive away. It has a lot of interesting shops and retaurants including wine shops for the connosieur. "EagleRidge Resort-Galena"
Awesome facility and accommodations! When I arrived I was informed that my room had been upgraded to a villa since they were overbooked. The villa was great and facilities, restaurants and services were outstanding! I will definitely return to this establishment!!

"Eagle Ridge Resort"
The resort was beautiful and the staff was wonderful. The nightly entertainment was really good that was in the lounge. Very impressed with our stay.
"Eagle Ridge Resort - Great Place to Stay"
I have stayed at the Eagle Ridge several times and have enjoyed it every time. Our latest stay was in October and the fall colors as we were driving through the restort grounds were beautiful. The rooms are very attractive and comfortable plus we had the great buffet breakfast and it was delicious. I will stay here again in the future.

"Very rude staff!"
We booked the resort through Hotel.com and were given a lower grade room than the confirmation had described. It said we will get a room w/fireplace and kitchenette and we ended up getting a room with none of these. The staff were rude and said we need to pick it up with Hotel.com. Every step of the way - from reception to the boat rental, the staff […] were very uncooperative and indifferent to the guest needs. This is very unusual in a resort of this stature. There was no conditioner in the bathroom. This was our thirtieth wedding anniversary and lot of it was spoiled because of the bad service at the resort. The Stone-drift Spa was the best part we really enjoyed it. Mehr
"Better rate than booking directly"
I got a great rate for a type of room that was actually sold out when talking to Eagle Ridge directly. This led to a free upgrade and instead of a room I got a 1 BR appartment.

Eagle Ridge Resort is located just 10 short minutes from the Galena shopping district and historic sites. We stayed in one of the individual cottages and it was a wonderful experience. Very comfortable, clean, spacious, and private. Well worth the extra expense and highly reecommended.

"Nice place to stay for run/bike training in Galena"
Stayed here two weekends in a row while getting in some awesome hill running and biking in Galena and nearby Elizabeth, IL. Clean rooms. We requested and got a room facing the lake with a balcony both times which was nice - -sat on the balcony sipping some bevvies and watching the sun set over the lake. Took out the paddle boats which are included in […] your reservation (2 hours per guest included...nice!). The only "cons" are that the bathrooms are super tiny (but clean) and you probably should eat elsewhere - - I didn't find any of the food offerings to be palatable and the lettuce "wrap" I ordered from the bar menu was pretty horrible and just pressed meat product on a bed of greens...but there are some other choices nearby. The pizza place in the hotel is o.k. I admit I didn't try the formal restaurant as I have a prejudice against anyplace with a meat carving station and heat lamps on prominent display. Mehr

My husband and I stayed there for our 10 year anniversary and we were very pleased. We enjoyed everything they had to offer. This was our first time going away for anything and really found a way to relax. I enjoyed the spa and we both enjoyed the view from our room. We are planning our next visit for next year and can't wait. The food was amazing. Overall the room was nice, but the carpet's were filthy and there was hair in the towels. Reserved a whirlpool room but we did not get it for some reason.

Wonderful room, helpful staff, and good food in the restaurant. Would highly recommend to others. Very nice work out room, and sauna/steam room in pool area. We loved our stay.

Had a nice stay at the resort, but we were a bit disappointed that the walking trails were not cleared of snow, nor were the cross country trails groomed. This was probably due to the heavy snowfall they received the night before we arrived.
