Comfort Suites Grantville/Hershey - Grantville

Was ok, checked in and found the room to have not been cleaned after they already gave us keys. We brought it to there attention and made alot of excuses, but ended up giving us a new room.

The beverage machines on 3 floors were sold out for water

The hotel was fine for a one night stay. Because of the location of the hotel we listened to cars passing by on the major interstate what was outside of our window. The pullout sofa in the room was disgusting with stains all over it. I wouldn't even consider sitting on it. The pool was fine but there were no towels by the time we got there, which was […] close to closing time. We came down for breakfast in the morning too late to try it, and that was at 9:30am. Very nice hotel. Staff very helpful. Easy to find Attractions. Good room rate. I was located right by front area and didnt notice foot traffic or hear everyone getting breakfast.

I thought our hotel room wasn't the cleanest. Also, we were awaken in the middle of the night by water running or a jucuzzi running in the room above us. It was extremely loud.

It was close to everything. Neat and nice little breakfast in a really pleasant atmosphere. will go there again!

My kids and I had a nice time, the room was cozy and clean. The only downfall was the remote control did not work for the tv.

The two of us needed a quick night stay as we traveled through. We were greeted with kindness and the room was great! A must stay at a great price!

We had a listing of all of the t.v. channels. Unfortunately, they did not coincide with the actual channels on the t.v. We spoke to them about it. It was checked out and they concluded that this was because they had changed providers!!!!!! MSNBS was not even an option to watch. it simply was not there...... This was a bit unacceptable......

We were looking for a place to stay that was close to the Hwy. exit, had breakfast, a decently comfortably bed for a good price. This fit the bill.

I booked 2 rooms when we got there there was no towles or washclothes in the rooms. When we asked the maid on the floor she told us it was not her job to go down to the front desk and get them our self. One room the coffee pot was never empty and coffee was still in the pot from the people who stayed before us. In the morning we went for towels and […] washclothes so we could shower and still none for us to use!! Pretty bad you go to a hotel and have to come home dirty because they didnt have washclothes and towels. All the people behind the front desk was not helpful and had an attitude when helping. Mehr

The hotel is located right off the highway. We stopped for an overnight stay on the way to Nort Carolina. Slept 2 adults and 4 children- it was a little tight. Served its purpose. Can't beat the price.

Our room was very nice and the breakfast was very good.

I had my children with me and after swimming in the pool they all broke out in rashes. The hot tub seem to have a cleaning or soap sulustion in it and every time the jets where turned on it overflowed with bubbles. Very unhappy with that part of the stay. This hotel is beautiful. Everything in our rooms was very nice and very clean. There actually was room to sleep six in our room because every room comes with a pull-out couch. it was a very nice stay. It is very easy to get to. We were going to Dauphin High School so it was very easy for us to get there. I'm not sure how far it is from Hershey Park […] or other area attractions. But if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, it is a great choice! There are no stores or restaurants on that exit. There is a gas station, though. Mehr

Couch was so stained I wouldn't sit on it. Blanket on bed was stained and the under pad had burn holes in it. Large black streaks on walls. Carpet was dirty and things stuck into the bottoms of my feet. I was afraid the place had lice and/or bed bugs and could not wait to get out of there. Breakfast was scrambled egg hockey pucks. The room had an odor. The heating/cooling system was noisy. No resturant in the hotel so no service could be ordered. Just not the best for the amount of money they charged.

We reserved 2 separate rooms across from each other and they were both very clean and comfortable. Overall, the hotel was clean, the complimentary breakfast was great, the pool was nice and we all had a great time. I would highly recommend Comfort Suites to anyone and would not hesitate to stay there again.

i would never refe to someone. should be called highway suites. couldn't sleep all night to noisey. also as checking bed for bugs..with flaslight,all hair and dust in annd under egdeof mattress and heaboard. not to clean

The rates were nice and low so I wasn't expecting anything like the Marriott. It met my expectations. The place is pretty nice if you don't look too close. We were there for a vacation at Hershey Park, so the room was only a place to sleep at night. We didn't spend any time there, so the hotel didn't matter much to us as long as it's clean. The drive to this hotel from Hershey Park was nothing short of treacherous down dark, steep, winding roads which were pitch black. We booked this hotel primarily because it offered a hot tub. When we entered the pool room, we were immediately overtaken by the poor condition of the area, the floor had peeling tiles and the pool was very small, over-crowded […] and the water was unheated. This however, was minor compared to the GREEN water of the hot tub. We were referred by the front desk to a take-out diner that delivered food that was unedible and had to be thrown in the trash. Trying to make the best of a situation became slightly more difficult when I peeled back the bedcovers and literally had to brush crumbs off of the sheets before I could sleep in the bed. While I showered, my young daughter accidently made an emergency call from the filthy phone in the room. Not allowing me time to finish showering, the desk called the room, frightening my daughter by demanding to speak to an adult. When she explained that I was showering, the did not believe her, and I was not informed the state police would be paying me a visit. At 12:00 at night, the state police were at my door claiming that management had claimed I was leaving my child unattended for extended lengths of time. It was a frightening experience for which I received not so much as an apology from management for. Mehr

The hotel was right off of the main highway. If you are unfortunate enough to have a room facing the highway, be prepared to get no sleep. Trucks were going by all night. You would think that they would put better windows and insulation in if they are that close to the highway

We had a king suite and the matress had stains. The room was not fully cleaned before we arrived and found garbage and things left in the refrigerator. We lost power and they still would not give us leave at 4pm and wanted to charge us a half day!

hotel is very nice and clean. however, avoid highway side rooms.... it was noisy... trucks are passing in full speed..... you can guess.

The lobby and hallways had a bad odor. The furniture in the room had multiple large stains. I was in Grantville for one night for an interview the next day in Hershey. In the morning, I awoke to find the sink, shower and toilet running dark yellow water. When I called the front desk to report this, the person who answered was dismissive, stated it was […] probably caused by plumbing issues at the hotel down the street, and did not offer me any help/alternatives. Needless to say, I was not able to shower before my interview. I will never stay here again, would not recommend this place, and will be weary of staying at any Comfort Suites in the future. Mehr

Stayed for 2 nights Aug.22-23,2011. Close to Hershey very convienent. not high end but worth the price. Rooms are big not modern. Stayed with 2 children 13 and 7 went to Hershey. They were wiped out at the end of the day and went right to bed. I thought they would use the pool but didn't. Pool looked ok but stron g smell of chlorine. It seemed there […] were alot of children staying here (all going to Hershey). Both nights loud noise, you could here right through the rooms, kids running in the halls. I didn't complain chalked it up to kids and the luck of the draw. The breakfest was good, eggs, bacon, yogart, waffles,muffins, cereal. Saved me money both mornings. Advice get to breakfest before 8 and your ok, after 8 long line and no seats. Staff didn't seen real friendly. I would stay there agian for convience, price. Don't look for high end. If you need tickets the desk at hotel can sell them to you and save didn't know this I could have saved money. Mehr

Before making reservations I read all reviews. However came to the conclusion to give it try, and Im glad I did. Room was clean. Breakfast was better than i expected. I stood for 2 days and would go back again. Just one problem the pull out coach mattress was very lumpy. The kids didnt complain. After a full day at hershey Park they just wanted to  […] sleep. The only plus was that it was 10 minutes from Hershey. There were stains on the couch, bench and rugs. When we turned down the bed it was covered in crumbs and they didn't have anyone to remake the bed so we had to go to the front desk and get new sheets and remake our own bed and touch someone else's dirty sheets. Disgusting!

Pool had "stuff" floating in it... gross!

clean room, spacious, good breakfast, close to Hershey, PA and Hollywood Casino. Would stay there again.

This was not our first stay at this hotel as we have become return customers due to the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel in general. The hot breakfast that is included is great and the staff keeps everything well stocked even during the busy breakfast rush. The pool/hot tub was clean and fun to use. Very close to Hershey […] Park which is why we stay. I definitely will return and reccommend this hotel to others! Mehr

The Suites was below par in several categories, it was generally rundown as compared with many previous stays. The bed-clothes were soiled and stained, there was a shortage of towels-- I reported the shortage to the front desk and they responded that they were aware and that there may be towels if I could return after they finished washing the laundry. […] Another individual sought towels right after me and received no help. There was a problem with plumbing, water would not drain from the sink, and I did not get hot water during my shower. My wife did get hot water when she followed me in the shower. The complementary breakfast needs to be re-engineered so that food is available when needed and attention needs to be paid to cleanliness, lots of flies in the food area. Mehr

our stay was a good one. It was close to Hershey Park and some places to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool, game room and lounge was clean and easily accessed. The only complaint I have was the long lines at breakfast and the flies that buzzed about! I recommend adding more waffle makers since that was the main reason for the lines.
