Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 10. Nov. 2012Wir haben das Hotel und Zimmer wie erwartet und beschrieben vorgefunden. Essen und trinken in der Naehe und einen lohnenden Spaziergang durch den Ort. Uns hat die Straße nicht gestoert. Hat uns gut gefallen, koennen wir empfehlen.

Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 28. Sep. 2012Ein ausgesprochen gutes Hotel, besonders geeignet zum Besuch des Olympic Natoinal Parks. Die Zimmer sind gross und sauber. Die Zimmer zur Bergseite sind ruhiger, da auf der Strassenseite der Verkehrslärm zu hören ist. Ein kleiner beheizter Aussenpool ist vorhanden. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die grosse gemütliche Lobby mit schönen Sitzmöbeln und einem offenen Kaminfeuer. Gratis Parkplatz vorhanden. Lage am Ortseingang von Port Angeles. Frühstück gibt es gegen Bezahlung. Es gibt ein gutes Restaurant direkt nebenan: Joshua's.

"Gutes Hotel zum Übernachten in Victoria, aber ..."
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 15. Sep. 2012Das Hotel hat hat insgesamt einen positiven Eindruck hinterlassen. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sauber, gut ausgestattet und WLAN verfügbar. Victoria kann gut zu Fuß erreicht werden. In der Nähe ist auch Fishermans Warf mit Hausbooten und gutem Fischimbiss. Allerdings reichte der Balkon des Nachbarzimmers vor eines unserer Zimmerfenster und zu allem Überfluss fand am ersten Abend noch eine Hochzeit mit Aussenbewirtung unter diesem Fenster statt, die allerdings ab23:00 Uhr nicht mehr zu hören war. Auf Anfrage, ob wir ein anderes Zimmer bekommen könnten wurde mit einem Schulterzucken mitgeteilt, dass das Hotel ausgebucht sei. Nicht zufriedenstellend, aber abgesehen von diesen beiden Punkten durchaus ein gutes Hotel zum Übernachten in Victoria.

"Clean hotel and friendly staff"
The Sandman Victoria is a excellent place to stay if you do not mind taking a 5 minute cab ride or a 10 minute bus ride to downtown. Staff are straightforward. "Sharks Club" bar is teaser bar - waitresses with breasts on display, advertisements suggesting you "might get something extra", patronized by boys desperate to display their machoness and slimy older men chatting up the young waitresses. An annoying atmosphere if you're just looking for a place to drink & talk. I ordered […] french toast & fruit salad for breakfast at the restaurant - it took half an hour to prepare, made me late, and came tasting bitter, with bits of burnt onion stuck to the toast. "Very clean and friendly, look forward to next time"
The staff at this location went out of their way to make sure that our stay was perfectly enjoyable. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean and well maintained. I didn't use the gym area, but I did look inside, and the equipment appeared to be in good repair and very clean. Every staff member we saw, including the cleaning […] crew, greeted us with smiles. I have never before been charged in advance for "incidentals" in any other hotel/motel. Is this something new? The carpet was severely marked with any "iron" by some previous guest. "Very good especially for the price"
I enjoyed my stay at the Sandman Victoria the front desk people are very good, polite and quick to serve. It's a little ways to the downtown core, but the rate reflects that. The room was quite and clean. My only complaint would be that on the 3rd floor there is an ice machine that fills that whole end of the floor with noise it really should be shut […] in it's own sound-proof room. "Great with one reservation"
My only real disapointment was on arrival I was told I only had one bed, even though I booked for 4 people. They resolved this with an etra roll away, but said bookings on Expedia are not confirmed regarding room size etc. Strange as I filled in who was staying in the room my wife and I and my 15 year old daughter and 6 year old son. It is a good hotel for budget travel. Little outdated in regards to room we had but lobby and building are ok. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room so it will set you back by $10-15 per person. Better choice may be close by Tim Hortons. "Mysterious stain on the wall"
A few things about the location.. 1. located beside bus depot - idling buses 24 hrs 2. - Hotel on lock down card access for everything.. is this area safe?3. hotel restaurant - most expense restaurant in Victoria ... really? 4. Parking... hard to get spot unless you return at 4pm... Room was big for the king.. had 2 tvs was good.. maid was good. had […] kitchenette which is nice. "Walking distance to Inner Harbor"
It is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Inner Harbor but it is a very direct route. The staff were very polite, professional and helpful.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

"Sandman Hotel in Victoria, BC-close to downtown"
This hotel is very nice. It had lots of great features like an indoor pool with hot tub. Very comfortable rooms. The problem we had was that for the price we paid we assumed we would get a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Those items were not included. The ice machine on our floor was out of order so we had to go to a different floor everytime […] we needed ice. It made for a complicated stay. Our room was on the 3rd floor but the music coming from the bar in the lobby could be heard until 1am in our room it was annoying but livable. "Clean place, book with Sandman to save confusion."
Room was clean and comfortable except the bed mattress was way too hard. The pool was rather cold.The heater didn't seem to be working right which is usually not a problem when we stay here. Sandman does not honor the free upgrade that Expedia advertised we would get.Authentische Expedia-Gästebewertung
