Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

Sehr zu empfehlen bei einen Zwischenstop nach Hawaii.Sauber, geräumig, Airport-Shuttle, freundliches Personal, guter Preis.

An Fisherman's Wharf sonnen sich Seelöwen bei den Geschäften am Pier 39. Nicht weit davon entfernt repräsentiert eine Schokoladenfabrik am Ghirardelli Square das süße Leben. Vom Pier 33 fahren Schiffe nach Alcatraz, und vom Coit Tower auf dem Telegraph Hill kann man die Stadt und die Golden Gate Bridge sehen. In der berühmten Buchhandlung City Lights in North Beach dreht sich alles um Literatur. Das Herz dieser historischen italienischen Enklave ist der Washington Square Park.

"Tolle Lage und sauber."
Wir waren für 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Insgesamt macht die Anlage einen modernen Eindruck und ist in gutem Zustand. Das Zimmer war zwar nicht besonders gross, dafür aber sehr sauber. Der Ausblick in einen geschlossenen Hinterhof zählte allerdings nicht zu den Highlights. Das Frühstück ist für amerikanische Verhältnisse völlig in Ordnung und sogar der […] Kaffee schmeckt. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der größte Pluspunkt ist jedoch die Lage des Hotels, Fisherman's Wharf liegt quasi vor der Tür und man hat eine gute Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel. Taxen warten fast rund um die Uhr direkt vor dem Hotel. Wir würden dieses Hotel ohne Bedenken erneut buchen. Mehr

In der Nähe von Fishermans Wharf und leicht zu erreichen. Parking ist sehr teuer und man müßte bestimmt nachfragen nach einem 'Self-park' Alternativ zu dem Hotel (nur mit Valet) Parkplatz. 2 Minuten weg ist das Parking wesentlich billiger! Drei Mitglieder unsere Familie haben Aufschlag bekommen von der Bettwäsche - obwohl es nicht schmutzig war. Frühstucksbuffet […] war zu klein für die Große des Hotels und Anzahl der Gäste. Die Gegend ist Abends nicht mehr so schon. Eine bunte Mischung von Personal von gut zu schlecht. Mehr
"Würden wir sofort wieder buchen!"
Das Hotel hat eine super Lage und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer waren freundlich, groß und schön gestaltet. 5 Punke kann ich trotzdem nicht geben, da wir später in Las Vegas im "Bellagio" waren und das Hotel wirklich exzellent war. Alles in allem ist das Holiday Inn ein super Hotel.

"Gutes Hotel für ruhigeren SF Aufenthalt"
Gutes Hotel, moderate Zimmergrösse, jedoch ohne Kühlschrank oder Kaffeemaschine. Quartier ist gute Ausgangslage für Erkundigungen per Fahrrad, Seafood-Liebhaber und Start für Sightseeing Busse. Viele Souvenirshops in nächster Umgebung, Little Italy ist auch noch in Gehdistanz zu erreichen. Aufgrund von Wallstreet-Demonstrationen waren wir froh, nicht […] downtown zu sein. "Small Room"
This hotel is in a great location. There is shopping all around. Also just a couple blocks away is Fisherman's Wharf. For the price this is the best that I could find. The continental breakfast was great. They have a very large selection of food. My only complaint is that the room that we had (King bed) was pretty small.

Our stay in SFO was fun and relaxing. We have been there a few times and this time relaxation of the mind and body was our objective. The environment of Fisherman's Wharf set a good stage for exactly that. The Holiday Inn Express took care of the sleep and recharging wonderfully. Had a great time. No rush! No schedules to follow! "Excellent Hotel"
My wife and I stayed here during spring break and we didn't hear the 100's of families that we saw throughout our stay. We had an inside room,(not facing the street), and it was extremely quiet. Bed and pillows were comfortable, staff was helpful, taxi cabs are close buy, everything on fisherman's wharf is within walking distance. And the price we got […] was considerably better. Worked out well for us. Only complaint was the cost of car parking, but that's San Francisco! Good location for touring.
"Hotel staff stole my jacket"
I'll start with some positives... Brandi at the front desk is fabulous and clearly customer service is her calling. She was great. The location was also very convenient for our trip. Now, a MAJOR negative... The cleaning staff can't be trusted. I was traveling from Boston and left a very nice long wool coat in the closet in my room. It was warm in […] San Francisco and I wasn't wearing it, and I forgot it in my room when I left. I then called the hotel so they could send it to me, and they said they never found the coat. I am 100% certain that this coat was left in the closet in my hotel room at the hotel. It is sad that the employees at the hotel have yet to return this jacket to me. If they happen to find the coat and return it to me, I'll take back everything I said here, but as of right now, they have ruined my experience at this hotel. Mehr

i chose this hotel because of the positive reviews which said how helpful the front desk was. i found the complete opposite. they were not helpful at all and could or would not anwer any general questions of the area (ie. where do catch a street car or is there a greek restaurant nearby). the room was quite small and the walls paper thin. we could hear […] the cleaning staff in the hall quite clearly in our room. a bit disappointing overall especially being more expensive which we were willing to pay because of the reviews we read on the site. Three members of our family stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over New Year 2012. It was our 4th visit to the hotel - and we were pleased to come back. Rooms are clean and comfortable; breakfast good but busy at that time; and the location can't be beaten. We'll be back.

"Simple hotel, no frill, nothing special"
First time at a HI express. Hotel is simple with no frills, includes breakfast, which is really a fast self-service version of it. Disposable everything. Interesting experience, but I only had breakfast once, in my 3 night stay, as the only healthy and good thing was the bananas. "Great Location + Breakfast and Reasonable Price"
For the location and price this was our pick and we were not at all disappointed. We would have loved to stay at the Argonaught but unfortunately on this trip price and free breakfast won out. We have previously explored San Fran from the outskirts, staying at the Millwood Inn and Suits out at SFO - this is our pick for SFO Hotels because it is in walking […] distance to BART, has Free Breakfast, Airport Shuttle and the beds are extremely comfortable!. This time with 2 little ones in tow, ages 4 and 6, we preferred to be more central and worked out that with comparing overall costs of taxi - around $55 dollars + tip each way + hotel vs BART cost each day for 4 people + Trolleys + hotel cost - that it was only about $100 more to stay central for us. The beds were reasonably comfortable, the breakfast was definitely sufficient and saved a bit of money each day filling up little tummies. Easy enough to walk to everything at Fishermans Wharf even for little kids. We caught the bus up to Golden Gate Park and went to the California Academy of Science which was an awesome day that we would highly recommend to any with or without children! The boys also loved exploring the big ships down on the wharf and we made a trip to Rainforest Cafe for a great end to a family friendly adventure! Next time we are in San Fran, I do hope to stay at the Argonaught for the experience and extra luxury but my second choice for Fishermans Wharf would be Holiday Inn Express or for an Airport Hotel Millwood Inn and Suits. "Great location"
Great affordable family place to stay. Free Breakfast was a great start to the day. There was something there for us all to enjoy. Walking distance to everything around the wharf, Cable car to union square & surrounds. Would recommend hiring bikes & doing a bike ride over golden gate bridge.

Included Breakfast was so-so, coffee horrible, service by breakfast staff not great. TV, most channels not HD and selection was really poor.

"HI Express Fishermans Wharf- I do not recommend."
I would not recommend this hotel. After a day and a half delay due to weather in the bay the last thing I needed was an attitude. Upon checking in, I was called "rude" by the front desk for questioning a charge. I was also told I would not be helped if I was "rude". To top it off, it was an employee across the desk that I was not even speaking to that […] decided to butt in and give her two cents. You should never call a customer rude! Especially if they aren't addressing you personally. I guess disagreeing, and asking an employee to butt out or at least look at you or address you personally when talked to is rude. I strongly disagree. It is a customers right to question charges. And it is disrespectful to interrupt a customer and then call them "rude" and refuse to help them unless they agree! I will never stay at this hotel again. And I suggest you don't either. Mehr

This hotel is in a great location central to everything. It is not fancy but it is well kept and has great service. I had a few requests and they were all answered quickly. For the price, it is a great value, very clean, and comfortable.
