The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was comfortable and clean. I loved that we had a couch since we only had one bed. The breakfast was great.The only complaint I have is that we booked this hotel specifically because it was close to the testing center and the checkout wasn't until noon when testing would be done. Housekeeping was knocking on […] my door at 10 a.m. I think that if it is before noon they should for sure wait until you are checked out to try and clean it. Other than that it was great. Nice, large, clean, comfortable rooms! Very quiet. Lobby and elevators not very luxurious. Felt a bit like an express inn. Breakfast area just OK. Close to restaurants but in a rough area. Felt a bit overpriced.

Stayed for 6 nights-didn't care for the breakfast food offered but nice to have it available, the bed was not the greatest-could hear through the walls, although hotel guests were pretty quiet. Staff was very good. For the money not a bad value.

This was a pleasant "first time" experience. Our room was away from the elevator, very clean and cozy w/ the unexpected pleasantry of a couch. Bathroom was very clean, carpet clean, couch clean (not dusty). Room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The guest services were nice! Hotel was clean, breakfast was hot and hearty. Pleasantly surprised about hot pancakes, waffles, biscuits, sausage, etc.The main complaint is a big one. The air conditioning wasn't as cool as it should have been in Texas with 100+ degree temperatures. Room was always slightly warm and even the lobby. We stayed here because of a problem that left our home uninhabitable for a few days. The hotel was nice, and service was good. The only complaints we had were that the jacuzzi tub in our room wasn't very clean (we had to clean hairs out of it) and the ice machine on our floor didn't work, so we had to go down to the first floor just to get ice. This is a particularly nice Holiday Inn Express. Very well maintained. There are even DVD players in the rooms. You can tell it is important to the owners here for their guests to be extra comfortable. We will always stay here when we are in South Tyler.

This was a great hotel. Close by the university and restaurants. The room was a little cramped for one adult and three teenagers but overall a wonderful stay.

This was my second time staying there and both times the hotel staff is the best out of any other hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel is always very clean and is nice to be in, one night me and my wife just liked being in the room so much we just watched a movie instead of going out.

Tha stay was good. The heated pool was cold and no towels at the pool. Breakfast was a disappointment. Eggs thingy was nasty. not much of a selection of breakfast items. The staff was friendly.

I was very pleased by Tyler's Holiday Inn Express South. The staff was extremely friendly and kind, willing to help with whatever was needed, and very well trained. The hotel itself was in great condition, clean and quiet with wonderful decor. The room was extremely comfortable with all needed amenities. The hotel was very clean, the people were all great. The building itself had little sound proofing. We could hear outside traffic and people in the rooms around us. The hallways were also noisy at night. The faucet on the sink in the bathroom was so short that you couldn't really get your hands or a cup under it to access the water.

I just stayed at a Holiday Inn in another city last month. They really made me feel like a "Priority Member" - gave us EACH a bottle of water FREE on check-in AND asked if we would each like a FREE bottle when we got on the road. This stay was different... I had to ASK for the water and then they only gave us ONE BOTTLE. they said it was "one per room" […] not "one per person" - I know, sounds like a petty complaint...BUT, when you can spend a dollar on some bottled water and make your guest feel special it pays off... likewise, if you make them feel like they have to beg you it really looses its appeal...
