Travelodge At the Falls - Niagara Falls

Hotel was at a great location only a few yards away from Falls, and at a great price. Free breakfast (which could be better, but it was ok and for free, can't ask for more, really). Staff was really nice and friendly. Room was big, and comfortable; bathroom could have been cleaner, but not that bad. Free parking and wi-fi a good plus!

After researching several other hotels we decided on Travelodge at the Falls. Close to all the entertainment on Clifton Hill, Casino Niagara and a short walk to view the Falls. Complimentary breakfast at Ruby Tuesdays was a nice bonus. Great value compared to other hotels in the area. Will return to this hotel in the future :-)

the hotel is in an excellent location, however the room was extremely cold when we arrived and took quite awhile to warm up and the large window had a very thin curtain where you can see everything inside. check in was a breeze. TV had HDMI so I was able to hook up my laptop and stream live cricket and soccer -- with no buffering from the free wifi. The free breakfast was more than adequate. Right in the heart of Clifton Hill so everything was a few minutes walk. and finally check out was a breeze.

came overnight with friends... dbl beds were a little small. there were ceiling tiles with obvious water damage and mold on the shower tiles... otherwise perfect location and room size were great. right in the middle of the srip which wss convient would stay there again

We had a room on the first floor near the street , it was noisy until after midnight and the curtains did not keep the light out either, so needless to say I could not sleep well. The lock stopped working the 2nd night and we had to have maintenance fix at 10 pm with door open for over an hour while we shivered. Breakfast was ok. The room did not seem […] clean. Bathroom had a pedestal sink and nowhere to put toiletries and no fan. Overall I think if I ever go to Niagara Falls again I will not stay at this motel. Mehr

I couldn't have been more happy with the location of this hotel. Found on Clifton hill - the Falls to any other attraction maxed 5mins walk distance. You can tell that the hotel has been around the block. There are obvious marks that signify the presence of smokers before it was smoke-free, general wear, but the cleanliness was greatly appreciated. […] There was never anything dirty about our room and despite the shower being outdated, the water pressure was great. One of the big benefits being young travellers was the money we saved on things like parking. The only real complaint I had about this hotel, wasn't actually to do with the hotel at all. Your free complimentary "continental" breakfast will be courtesy of Ruby Tuesday's. It was almost ALL carbs. Not very savy for someone who has a gluten, wheat, or corn allergy, or even just conscious of HOW many carbs they're physically ingesting. The spread consisted of about 4 different kinds of bagels, 2 different types of bread, Eggo brand blueberry thawed waffles, 4 different kinds of cereal, orange/apple juice, tea, water, coffee, boiled eggs, and badly bruised (almost spoiled) apples, bananas, and oranges. I'm sure ANYONE would appreciate a little more varietyOn the plus side, I think Travelodge is fully aware of the breakfast not being up to par, and they supply you with coupons for 3$ off a breakfast purchased at the Family's Restaurant not even a minute up the street from this location. We had a room with a king bed and it was very spacious. It had 2 comfortable chairs and a sofa. There was coffee in the room and a continental breakfast was available each morning. Great location when staying on Clifton Hill. Easy walk to the falls. Please note sidewalks are uneven and steep. Difficult when spouse uses a manual wheel chair. Also the free breakfast which is included you must go through the hotel looby down stairs to get to Ruby Tuesday's. Not handicap accessible. Got manager to let huband in the front door of the […] restaurant from the street front door which is closed during the breakfast time. Also the complementary newspaper is only first come first serve. The hotel does not order enough papers for all the guests registered at the hotel. Papers are gone by 9am usually. Room was clean and did have a microwave and fridge. No elevator so if you are traveling with heavy medical equipment or if you cannot walk or carry your luggage upstairs make sure you ask for a ground floor room. Glad I made the call the night before and got the last ground floor room. Most of the staff was helpful and pleasant. Pool was clean and very enjoyable. Mehr

Right in the heart of Clifton Hill - very accessable. Our room overlooked the roof, but we were not there for the scenery. Room was clean, new TV, fridge and microwave were added bonus. Hotel was beautiful, people friendly - our toilet broke in the late evening. The chain broke for the flush and we ended up using the facilities on the lower level. The hotel is in a very convenient, but highly congested area, just steps away from all the major attractions. The beds were clean and comfortable. The room had a musty smell and the air conditioning unit was caked with mold -- yuk! The outdoor pool area was nice and there were 4 or 5 deck loungers, which were clean and comfortable. The room was very clean especially the bathroom. It looked like it has recently been remodeled. We had an isolated but nevertheless scary indicent, though. Front Desk programmed another guest's keys with our room locks. So while we were resting in our room, someone was able to partially open our door. Fortunately, we used the dead bolt so the guy wasn't […] able to successfully open our door. The guest did not even apologize. We called Front Desk to report the incident and she apologized saying it was her fault yet she never called to inform us about the mistake. She assured us that everything was starightened out. Later that night we had to ask Front Desk to reprogram our keys because we could not open our doors. Other than this incident, we were very happy with the cleanliness and the location (very close to the pedestrian access to Rainbow Bridge, restaurants and other tourist attractions) of the hotel. The room at first glance looked really nice but as soon as we opened the door there was a distinct smell of mould in the room. We had a heart shaped jacuzzi in our room (204) and we think this was a cause to the terrible odour that we smelled. The carpet was soaked around the jacuzzi when we were filling it up even though the pressure from the faucet […] was low and the tub wasn't full which could have been an indication of a leak but we couldn't find one. The hotel is very close to the falls and also to the party district. The area seemed very popular with younger party goers. This is an older building but quite acceptable.. Great Location to the falls and all of the attractions. Parked the car and left it, walked everywhere. The biggest concern was the noise....People yelling til 3:00 am and children running around till early hours of the morning.

Perfect location. We were greeted with a smile and were even checked in early. I was worried about bedbugs but the room and beds were absolutely amazing!! The staff answered any and all questions. My husband and I enjoyed our weekend and would definitely return.

I am very satisfied with the services but it would be better if you include attraction packages, discount in some gift shops, Skylon tower and shuttle to and from the falls and Marin-land. I also would prefer if you can give air miles for the collectors.

This hotel is located in a great location from the Niagara Falls. Unfortunately, the picture of the hotel is a little deceiving. You cannot see the falls directly behind the hotel. The hotel was conveniently located to all the attractions on Clifton Hill. Great deal on the rate and the service was excellent! Staff called after we checked in to make sure the room was clean enough for our standards and had extra pillows and towels easily available. Lots of amenities! If you want a cheap place to stay, you cant really go wrong here. Its not the cleanest, most welcoming room, but is is fine for a night or two if money is an issue. Its right in the heart of the slot machines and burger bars, its also right next to the Falls and the bridge to the US. Basic, a little ragged, but ok.

It is a 10 minute walking distance to view American Falls. About a mile to Horseshoe Falls. Hotel is in the heart of entertainment district, which is good if you have children. The hotel free deluxe breakfast was adequate with bagels, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, fruit and juices. Across the street is a Tim Hortons' which has good coffee, donuts and small […] breakfast sandwiches. There is a large Wendy's across the street with fair prices. Other restaurants in that area were expensive and poor quality. The only downside to this hotel is the limited parking. They allow "day parkers" there as parking in the area is limited. The parking was free for guests, but we got a good spot for the weekend and left the car there. A taxi to the falls was under $10. A casino is next door, but we didn't go there as we do not gamble. Having spent the last 3 weeks travelling from Toronto down to Tennessee and back again, these have to be the most grim looking apartments I have ever seen. However..... the area felt quite safe and so I thought I would see what the inside of the rooms looked like. My room was supposed to be a non-smoking room but it stank of smoke as soon as I entered […] it. Credit to the staff, they efficiently moved me to another non-smoking room that was OK. The free Internet was not working when I arrived and took almost 5 hours for a 'technician' to get it working again. Breakfast next door was very disappointing and limited. The only bad thing about the hotel, if it is bad is that it has no elevator and it is an uphill walk so be prepared. But otherwise it is a convient 5 minute walk to falls and all local attractions.
