Econo Lodge at the Falls - Niagara Falls

Das Motel hat eine sehr gute Lage auf der amerikanischen Seite der Niagara Falls. Das ist aber der einzige Pluspunkt. Beim nächsten Mal würden wir auf jeden Fall auf der kanadischen Seite bleiben, da nicht nur die Sicht auf die Fälle besser ist, sondern auch die Umgebung für unseren Geschmack einfach mehr hergibt. Negativ war der modrige Geruch im gesamten […] Hotel, alles nicht sehr sauber. Das Zimmer wirkte verbraucht, wäre aber wenn es sauber gewesen wäre für eine Nacht ok. Das Frühstück ist selbst für ein Motel sehr "einfach" und durch den Frühstücksraum, der vermutlich einmal in der Woche gereinigt wird verläuft eine Ameisenstraße. In der Hauptsaison könnte auch der kleine Parkplatz zu einem Problem werden. Zusammenfassend nicht empfehlenswert, auch nicht für den sehr günstigen Preis. Mehr

Short walk to the falls and surrounding park. Walking distance to the Niagara Falls wax museum and Hard Rock Cafe. The room was clean, but could use some repairs. The window was leaky, and there was some water damage to the wall in the bathroom, but it was very clean in spite of that.

While the location was perfect for us, my overall view of the hotel would be a 3 out of 10. The cleanliness was eh. I would not walk around barefoot in my room. The employee that I dealt with at the front desk was very hard to understand and not very friendly. Would I stay there again? Possibly. It was an ideal location to where I needed to be. upon arrival there was nobody at the front counter. A sign was there to indicate " I will be back in 20 mins". Nobody was present at the counter 1/2 hour later either. the clerk spoke very little english and was very hard to understand. roughly around 10:00 PM, the heater in the room shut off and dint come back on until 8:00 AM. the temp outside was […] 8 degrees. The resturant located in the hotel was closed and not open for service. the breakfast room was locked and not available. the snow in the parking lot was not shoveled or plowed. one positive note, the falls are only a 5 min walk from the hotel. Our rate was really reasonable, so the value was excellent. The room was clean, the hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. The free breakfast wasn't the greatest - but when paying so little for a hotel room in Niagara Falls -can't really complain. We will stay here again.

For the price and location, this hotel wasn't a bad deal at all. We were two blocks from the falls and right in the middle of the downtown area, plus everything in our hotel worked worked. We had hot showers, heat, and cable tv. and On the downside, perhaps the bed was a bit stiff and breakfast was skimpy (only cereal and toast), but the purpose of […] our stay was to see the falls, not stay in our hotel eat a fancy breakfast and watch tv. I can see why this hotel was rated a 2 star. The worker took a long time to initially serve us, he wasn't even at the counter and when we checked out, could hear him snoring behind the wall. The pain was peeling on the cieling and there was a significant musty smell. We were only looking for a place to sleep for the night but we won't be back. I guess […] you get what you pay for. Mehr

This hotel is very low budget. You get what you pay for as the saying goes. The room was alright , there was a dirty pillowcase we had to replace. We did have to pay an extra 10 dollars for one more person. It states on the wall you will have to pay 40 dollars extra if you dont tell them about an extra person in your room. The elevator is frightening […] like another reviewer stated it has purple carpet all around the sides. The bathroom was kinda gross it had a stall shower and there was mold on the ground. The breakfast was really basic. They had bread, muffins, cereal that had black spots on it and orange juice (sunny d). I would not stay here again Mehr

The room was what I expected. It was clean and basic but was fine for our needs. The staff at desk was very friendly and polite. I have to almost laugh because we were there 5 days and only requested room service one day. I had ask that the very large spider webs be cleaned from balcony so we could enjoy the evenings out there. When we returned to the […] room, the bed spreads were hanging off beds and uneven, sheets still at bottom of bed and not straight, no clean towels left, and part of the spider webs were knocked down in one corner but left in another along with a few piles of blown leaves. (second floor balcony) I guess i was expecting a little more attention to detail when we requested one day of room service. And the fact that I had ask that the balcony be cleaned specifically. THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK COULD NOT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH VERY GOOD. AND THE ROOM HAD A BAD SMELL TO IT. THE TV RECEPTION ON MOST CHANNELS WAS POOR WITH SNOW. COULD NOT MAKE A LOCAL CALL FROM THE ROOM.

The staff was very welcoming and the room was actually non smoking, safe and clean. Walking distance from the falls and in a safe location

After having reserved the room at Econo Lodge, we did not rush to read the reviews. However, on reading each of the comments and reviews about the hotel made me worry quite enough. We prepared for the worse though with a hope for the better. Well, it is not some Mariott or Sheraton, and you should not expect anything like that for the price you pay. […] Anyhow, it was all fine. The lady at the registration was very amiable and kind. The continental breakfast included two types of muffins, wheat bread to toast, butter, three kinds of jam, coffee, milk, cream, and juice. You could have everything as much as you want as everything is refilled and checked. The breakfast is from 8 am to 9 am. The location is really close to the Falls. And walking there is quite enjoyable. The hotel is not brand new, but still just fine. Honestly, after all the comments I had read, I felt satisfied with everything. So go ahead and reserve a room there. At last, you are going to Niagara Falls not to spend all your time at the hotel. Mehr

The receptionist was unpleasant. The complimentary breakfast was not that satisfying. The rooms were not tidy enough. Though we stayed there only for a night I did not quite like this place. It was a shabby place.

If you are looking for a night or 2 and visiting the falls with most of the day you wont be in your room then this is a good place to stay, cheaper then other hotels and is very close to the falls with a Friendly staff. Rooms could be better and neater but I wont complain for the price I paid for it, probably I saved twenty dollars in parking itself […] as I left my car at hotel and walked to falls Mehr

It is quite good accomodation, but not clean and cozy. If you want to stay with little bit cheap accomodation and breakfast, and parking without charge, this hotel is ok at least I think.

Its dirty and dingy. Whole building is run-down. Bed had hairs. While the location is great, just not worth it. There are other hotels in the area and walking and walking distance to the falls.

Checking in was a Disappointment the clerk seemed a little overwhelmed with the phones that were ringing off the hook. And when he finally checked us in he seemed put upon and annoyed. The bedding did not seem too clean but rather worn out. The falls were not too much “Within walking distance” as advertised; there were at least a couple of hotels that […] were much closer. On the other hand the young woman that was at the counter when we checked out was very friendly and helpful ; she called the taxi service to reserve a taxi for us; we appreciated that very much. But my recommendation is to pay the extra money and stay in one of the nicer hotels in the Falls area. Mehr

Dirty and smelly. The pictures on the website are nothing like the hotel. Smallest bathroom ever.

When we arrived the elevator would not open on the third floor. The ice maker was broken and there were signs on it to 'limit your ice'. We had to ask for common items like replacement cups, toilet paper and a hair dryer . When I asked for two rolls of toilet paper, I was told that 'one is enough for the night'. The bathroom had signs of remodeling, […] but the workmanship was shoddy. It serves its basic function as a place to sleep and clean yourself, without ANY extras... at all. Even though it was an 'EconoLodge', I was expecting just a tad more quality and service. While the location of this hotel ls very convenient, that is where the good part ends. It is run down, and old with an elevator that always had me wondering if we would get to out destination. There was a man sleeping across some chairs in a remote hallway (creepers) . The grout and tile in the shower had black mold around the edges. There was no soap […] or shampoo in the bathroom and I had to go get some from the front desk. Breakfast was even worse: white bread for toast or commercial processed muffins or cold cereal (corn flakes & sugary kids cereal) . I would not recommend this place. You are just paying for location. This hotel was pretty bad all around. We decided to stay on the American side since we were arriving late from NYC in case there might be some delay at the border crossing. That proved to be a mistake. This "hotel" has nothing nice to offer -- a depressing facade, bad parking, very uncaring staff, and marginally outfitted rooms at fairly high prices […] equivalent to mich better quality hotels across the border on the Canadian side. Oh, and the continental breakfast was pretty pathetic, even by fairly low motel standards. All in all, I wouldn't wish this place on anyone other than an enemy. Mehr

The only plus for this hotel was that it was near the falls. It was rundown. The hallways needed vacuuming and the elevator was dirty throughout the entire stay. And I was there for 4 nights. The chair in my room was so threadbare and stained I wouldn't put my clothes on it, let alone sit in it. The toilet seat was so old it was no longer white in spots, […] it had worn down to the dark undercoat. If I could have gotten my money back and gone somewhere else I would have. Mehr

OK this is not the Ritz, but you can walk to most anything you want, except the outlet mall. Casino one block away the FALLS just a few blocks away. We walked everywhere. That does bring to the bad side parking is bad, so when you can get a spot in the hotel parking lot you don't want to move it or you will be out on the street

We booked two rooms because we had children with us. Upon arrival, rooms assigned to us were far from each other. I requested linked rooms or at least rooms next to each other because of children. Receptionist refused. I requested to see manager. Manager refused to come at front desk. Had no choice but to accept rooms assigned to us. Upon entering the […] rooms, very strong odor welcomes you. (this was no smoking room). Plenty of bugs and mosquitos are there to take care of you too. I went to receptionist to request some bug spray and air freshner. Receptionist said, there is no one in house keeping on duty. Receptionist could not speak english too. Breakfast!!! Toaster is broken. You can have bread and some cereal, This is breakfast. Will not stay there again and will not recommend it to families. Only good thing about this hotel is location, Very convenient to visit falls. Mehr

Stayed here for two years in a row because of tjhe convience of the location considering we didn"t drive.Arrived this year and the hotel looks exactly the same with absolutely no upgrades. The only thing that went up was the price. Alot of guests were noisey,I guess because everyone had to slam their room doors because like ours, the door was off t […] rack. Mehr

We were very satisfief with our stay. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were nice and clean and we really appreciated the rides to the park so we would not have to pay for parking. Thank you very much.

The location is excellent, close to the bridge going to Goat Island. We only stayed overnight and we had a pleasant stay. When in Niagara, you don't need to stay in an expensive hotel since most of the time you'll be out enjoying the falls. Parking is limited for the size of the hotel but a parking lot is available adjacent to it. The continental breakfast […] is just okay but that is the least of my concern. The free internet service or WIFI is a nice plus. Overall, it's a good place to stay at Niagara Falls. Mehr

i will be disputed this charge on my credit card we had to put pillow covers on our pillows cases,they were stain the outsde seat was stain,the phone had stain on it,finally the ceiling were stain,it was trouble hotel

The hotel is very close to the Seneca Niagara hotel. Check-in was very easy. We had a good night's sleep. No craziness. My only complaint is the small parking lot. If you move your car, there may not be a parking spot when you return. I got the room for a total of $63 on President's Day. Do not expect luxury. $63 does not get you a five star hotel.

The hotel was conveniently located but lacked in parking spaces. The rooms lacked in space and originality. However, they were clean and had a balcony which over looked the town. No bed bugs! I didn't check out the breakfast although when we checked in the previous day, it looked as though that would be lacking as well. As close as you can possibly get to the American side of the falls(walking distance). The hotel wasn't brand new but it was comfortable and even had a refrigerator in it. The front desk/owners were awesome and the continental breakfast was good. Overall the value was great and the location was perfect. the location was prime! However, the balcony door would not stay closed unless bolted; the AC unit was intermittent: the small fridge was good and the TV worked. We only stayed one night and I will not go back.
