The Hotel added hugely to our enjoyable four nights in Lisbon. The people at reception were extremely helpful on our arrival and the service was top class throughout our stay. Hotel is nicely located with easy access to the Pombal square where lots of organized tours start. It's also only 10-15 minutes walk to downtown so it doesn't matter much where you want to go. Staff was really helpful and friendly leaving a very positive image.

The staff in this hotel make guests feel special. The building itself is well appointed. One great advantage is the metro station outside. We enjoyed our 9-day stay in the Marques de Pombal and would love to return.

This hotel is in a very convenient location as it is only 5 (max) minutes from the Metro and 10 - 15 mins from the main centre. Breakfast was fine - good start to the day. There were 6 of us in our party and we all had te same view that if we return to Lisbon we will stay here again. The first thing about this hotel is the staff. They are amazingly polite, personal and helpful. They will do anything, anytime of the day, to make your stay more comfortable; and always with a smile. The food in the restaurant and breakfast room is very good, tasty and reasonably priced. The WiFi service is great, and it's a very short walk to the metro […] or the center of the city. We had a delightful 4-night stay at the Marques de Pombal. hotel. The comfort and services were excellent -- the staff is english-fluent. The buffet breakfast is a real plus, featuring fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and hot dishes. Our room was very quiet, despite being located on the second floor along a busy street and above the restaurant. The hotel was very convenient, clean, well organized and professional. The staff where always helpful with a smile on there face. We couldn't have asked for anything more from them. 5 star quality staff in my book!

The hotel is ideally positioned for which ever way you arrive in Lisbon, being located only a very short walk from the Marques De Pombal metro station. The hotel was very comfortable, breakfast excellent and hotel staff exceptionally helpful. We purchased the 1 day bus / tram / metro travel cards initially E4.50 and topped them up on a daily basis for […] E3.95; they are excellent value as they can also be used on the elevators, essential in such a hilly city. Definitely try the Bairro Alto for eating out in the evening and I can recommend "Alfaia" restaurant. No matter how short your stay try to visit Sintra as the experience is magical. Mehr

The hotel is very close to Marques de Pombal metro station and a short walk to several bus routes. Hotel staff are friendly and genuinely interested in the job. Sound-proofing is excellent. The only negative is the breakfast room, which is very crowded, and it does not seem to be arranged in the best way.

Stayed 5 nights. Room was decent size by European standards, well-appointed, as was bathroom. Bed was quite comfortable. Hotel is exceptionally clean and quiet. Staff is unfailingly polite and helpful. Breakfast spread was extensive--eggs, meats, cheese, breads, cereal, juice, coffee, tea, more. The location is excellent, just off Marques de Pombal […] circle, a major transportation hub. The airport bus stops there as do several city bus lines, the hop-on tourist buses, and the metro. It is a maximum 15-minute walk downhill to Restauradoes Square and the downtown beyond that. There are several restaurants on the side streets behind the hotel as well as along Avenida Liberdade between the hotel and Restauradores. The return walk from downtown is uphill, but it is a fairly gentle grade (certainly among the gentlest by Lisbon standards!). Mehr

We had a perfect stay at Marques De Pombal Hotel. Location, staff, luxury were all 5 star. I would definately recommend. On a negative note, make sure you go to Tourist information centre rather than the hotel concierge as their tour prices were quite expensive.

Nice good quality hotel with extremely friendly staff, recommended. Reasonably well located on one of the main streets, 15 minutes walk from the center and near a subway station, maybe five minutes walk from the bus stops. We stayed with a baby - a baby cot is provided free if required, and upon request we also got a water boiler for warming the baby […] food and formula. The hotel has a nice gym, with free weights and a good selection of equipment. There is a sauna but it requires a separate reservation and extra charge. The hotel restaurant is very nice, reasonably priced and open late - we went for a late night snack and drinks and were happy, and it seemed quite popular and the menu seemed to have a good selection of warm meals. Breakfast was good standard hotel buffet with scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit, yoghurt etc. Only minor issues - one of the two elevators was broken for two days, and since there were no stairs except a maze of emergency exits, it would be often full and we once we had to wait 10 minutes just to get two floors down for breakfast. The air conditioning unit in the room had no instructions and seemed to have a logic of its own, but luckily the window could be opened. Overall a very good hotel, nothing special but surely recommended. Mehr

Business hotel which is fine except for location. Airport bus stop is 10 min walk up hill & there are no local restaurants or bars open in the evening.

This is a super hotel- the staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and pleasant. It had a modern flat screen tv and iradio which I loved. The bathroom was very nice and spacious. My husband loved the shower. We stopped in the bar for a drink on our return on both evenings of our stay and found it extremely pleasant. […] The hotel is a good 10 minute walk to the city centre (the sidewalks are all cobbled so beware ladies in heels!), but we found this quite pleasant given the location and surroundings of the hotel. The taxis also were very reasonable and plentiful. We had an all round extremely pleasant stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to a friend. Mehr

My husband has his wallet pick pocketed and and the staff was amazing at helping him notify credit card companies etc.

Very well located. Including a car park and in front of a underground station. Excellent ration quality/price! And rooms have been nicely refurnished

We stay at this hotel several times before and we always more than satisfyed. It is located in a nice area, very close to the subway station, clean and very nice service. Very good for a 4 Star hotel

Good base hotel, nice clean spacious room with the usual mod cons and big bathroom. Excellent and extremely helpful staff. 10 mins walk to city centre plus the metro just outside. Breakfast room and bar area a bit soul-less but no need to spend time there with the city such a short walk away

This was a really lovely affordable hotel in Lisbon. The location was good (about a 10 minute walk to the centre). The breakfast was lovely, lots of choice. The room was a comfortable and was really clean. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a break in Lisbon.

The Hotel Marquês de Pombal is my new hotel in Lisbon. I will stay there every time (unless I had a very specific reason to stay in a different location). The entire three day stay was perfect...from check-in through check-out. Every single member of the staff was wonderful--professional, informative, pleasant, and helpful. The dinner we had there was great. We also enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel every morning. The metro stop is right outside the hotel.

Viajo com certa frequencia com minha familia e fazia tempo que não via uma equipe de recepção tão atenciosa , pronta para te dar qualquer informação , sem preguiça ou mal humor , tanto que decidimos aluguar um carro em um sábado às 20 hs e eles prontamente nos ajudaram e no domingo às 9 hs estavamos com o carro. Ótimo hotel, bem localizado e muito confortável. Possui uma entrada para o metrô bem em frente. O restaurante do hotel também é ótimo, vale a pena testar.
