it was very nice,the only issue i had was the coffee pot didn't work like it was suppose too.other then that i can see myself coming back.

OK, I get it that our room was on the first floor and they were remodeling from top floor on down but sheesh. Only good thing is location and they let you bring your pets. We stay here every year for one night for a family gathering held nearby. Not sure we'll be able to stand it by next year. I put my shirt on my pillowcase so my face wouldn't touch […] it and tried to ignore the big stains on the box spring of the bed next to me. Mehr

The carpets in the hallways and the room were very tatered and stained. It gave me an uncomfortable feeling right away. I could see the room was clean and one day I saw someone cleaning a room and she was cleaning everything. I do think I would feel better if they replaced the bed spread, it also is tatered and worn, it does not add to making one feel […] comfortable. I know Richmond is know not to be safe but I felt safe. Everyone I met were friendly and curtious. It is right by the I-80, which is good, and because of the trees around it was quite. I would not recommend this hotel to others but if you went in knowing it needs things to be replaced I don't think you would be that disapointed. Mehr

Here is why: - carpet had large stains on it. It looked so dirty that we had to lay down bath towels. -live mosquito on the wall -LCD thermostat did not work -black mold on the tub spout and shower curtain -leftover hair on the sink faucet -bath towel had a yellow stain -bathroom door had speckles of food or grime -recliner chair was dirty -sound was […] dog barking inside the hotel possibly -dialed 0 to change room but no answer and we were stuck all of the above = horrible experience for room #236 Mehr

This hotel gave me a non-smoking room as requested, but the room was clearly a smoking room and reeked of smoke. There were cigarete burns on the counters. I suffered a severe allegic reaction to the smoke in the room. Also this hotel needs to shampoo hallway carpets and agressively address odors in the hallways. At the time we entered in the Hotel Nobody was at the Front Reception for 5 minute. And when she came to the front Desk, she was Rude. The Hotel is very Dirty. I stayed three day and they are out of Coffee I cannot believe and the coffee Pot in my room its very dirty rusted and not even working. Bathroom shower did not work well and its dirty.

This is a barely adequate motel if you don't have other options. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room was just OK and shampoo is not included (though dish washing detergent is...)

My wife and I were looking for a nice weekend getaway for my birthday and since we have stayed twice here before and love that the suites have a full-size kitchen, we came back again. However, this was the worst experience ever. It started when I walked in the door. There was no one at the check-in desk, but I could hear from around the corner the desk […] clerk talking on the phone with someone about what to make for dinner and when she was coming home... in other words, making a personal call instead of doing her job. I stood there for about 5 minutes waiting before she got off the phone, while in the meantime, other guests had come and were waiting in line while she was hiding in the corner where no one can see her making her personal calls. After finally checking in, I asked for the luggage cart to bring our suitcases and groceries in (after all, its a suite with kitchen, etc. so we needed to bring in groceries for the stay.) The clerk told me that they had no cart, a customer broke the wheels, and they tried to replace it but had to order one and it wasn't there. So, my wife (being disabled) and I had to carry our things to our room. The one good thing about the room was it was the closest to the elevator, so my wife did not have far to go. When we got into the room though it was horrible. There were spots on the carpet, black smudges of whatever nasty stuff on the couch and curtains. When I went to take a shower, the handle was so wobbly, I was afraid it would break off into my hand. The sheets smelled like urine, when we asked for clean sheets first the front desk said they only put clean bedding on for guests staying more than a week. After I argued about it, it took 2 hours before they came with clean sheets. That night we wanted to watch some TV and found out they only get 12 channels and none of them worth watching. It was clean enough and conveniently located off of the freeway, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable and it took forever for them to confirm my reservation through hotels.com. After I called hotels.com to report the problem it only took minutes to get our room key. When we opened the door to our room we were surprised to find ladders, light fixtures […] on the bed, and various parts laying around. When we finally got a new room, I felt like I was in a Motel 6. The girl at the front desk was VERY nice, but the hotel was lacking in comfort. Mehr

This hotel was extremely disappointing. For being a place where people stay longer than normal hotels, this was nowhere near what it should have been. When I first walked into the room I was overwhelmed with the smell of it. It reeked of something I could not pinpoint. It kind of reminded me of an old alcoholic smell mixed with some food smell. That […] smell never went away. The tv to the room was way to small. The beds were the worst I have ever experienced. It literally felt like I was laying on top of layers of wood. They were extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were so thin and small. It was the worst nights sleep I have had in a very long time. Mehr

We paid for a King/non-smoking room through Hotels.com, but when we got to the hotel in the early evening, there was only one room left, a Queen/Smoking. The desk clerk tried to get us booked into another hotel, but at this point there were no rooms available in the area. She then told us she would substitute us into another reservation, but when we […] got to the room, it was a Queen/smoking room. Since I had told her I was allergic to smoke, this was especially offensive. I do not know who was responsible for this. Mehr

For the money, this was a reasonable place to stay. It had free parking. It is close to a large mall. Although Richmond is supposedly a rough area, the area around the hotel was fine. The hotel is not fancy or new but was fine for a short stay at a good price. Check in and check out was quick.

After thinking I got a good deal, the place is a dump. I left and went somewhere else and was happy I did. Walked out and lost the money I paid, but even if it meant losing $500 I wasn't staying here.

The rooms were very dirty. It took 3 rooms before we found one that we could spend the night in. Would not stay there again.

I paid for this hotel on the internet, and when I arrived, I found a note at the front or reception desk, that management was gone for a minute, and would be right back. The meaning of the word "minute" means just that, a minute. My niece dropped me off, and she and I had to sit in the lobby for 15 or 18 minutes, until the ONLY employee returned after […] checking around "to see if we have any available rooms." She was very nice and apologized but I was still upset at having to wait. The carpet in the hallways and the rooms smelled so dingy that I had to sprinkle my own powder on it, to smell better. I have travelled to a lot of places and stayed in many different hotels, and there is no excuse for no one at all being at the reception desk!! Mehr

This place has a good location near a shopping center. There is some work that needs to be done like getting better insulation between rooms because I could hear people taking showers upstairs and people talking next door. The bed was also very loud and lots of creaks. Despite it's disadvantages, it was relatively clean and orderly but if you expect […] to get some good nights rest, this may not be the best place. This is the second time my fiancee and I stayed here. It's a bit pricey compared to other places we've stayed, but is worth the extra $$. The room was super big and everything in the kitchen was in great working order (although the cleaning staff forgot to put the frying pan back in our room after cleaning the room). It's nice to have a place to stay […] with a REAL refrigerator and to be able to cook a decent meal without buying all microwavable dinners. The hotel is located right off the parkway, but it is so quiet you would never know it. Not much of a view in our room, we were on the ground floor facing the parking lot this time. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was HUGE. As I said before it's more than I would normally pay if I were going on an extended trip, but for just a one night stay it's worth the extra price to get someplace comfortable. Mehr

EXCELLENT HOTEL HOTELS.COM PRICE WAS 70 % SAVINGS!!!

Check in process seemed to not be up to par with other Hotels. the wait we had tu endure 30+ min was unacceptable being that its the day after thanksgiving and having tired kids is not easy to deal with when the hotel clerk is not being helpful in anyway shape or form. Kitchen was missing items, this may not normally be an issue however the only reason […] this hotel was booked was for the convinence on the items the room comes with. My stay was nice. they let me check in 2 hours early.. only 2 small problems remote didnt work and my key card malfunctioned. overall i enjoyed my stay!! : )

We stayed at this hotel because the Court Yard Marriot next door was sold out, but what a BIG MISTAKE!!! this was the dirtiest room/hotel that we have evers stayed. Smelled bad, all furniture was old and ugly, the towels two had hair on it, the sink was working but broken, the next door shower had a really loud noise... god we almost left but it was […] too late. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL!! YOU'LL REGRET IT. Mehr

Room was one of the older rooms not remodeled. Other family members that went got a newer room. Smelled very strong of smoke. Wanted a room on the first floor due to back issues. Said they didn't have one. Family came later and they gave them a downstair room.

The evening hotel staff was very nice and friendly. Don't expect that with the day crew. They make it seem like it was an effort to even speak to you like you were inconveniencing them by being there. The room was clean but there was mold in the bathroom around the tub spout. I had read the poor reviews this hotel had but the Marriott next door was […] sold out or I would have paid the extra money to stay there. I think the bed was made out of stone it was so hard. The only reason I am giving any score higher than a 1 is due to the evening staff. They were nice and tried to be helpful. I really got what I paid for here. Mehr

This is a continuation of the previous review. I stayed an additional night because my vacation was extended. Again, beds were uncomfortable and housekeeping only serviced rooms once every four days. Customer service and attracting clientele doesn't seem to be a priority on this hotel's list.

The hotel overall was in a convenient location and the room was clean at check in. However, I was told by front desk that housekeeping only clean the rooms once every four days. That's totally unacceptable for hotel service, especially when I work for a hotel myself. Also the chair inside my room was broken. Since when has it become a quality of service […] to have broken furniture inside the room. The mattress was also as hard as a brick making it very difficult to sleep comfortably. Mehr

The smell was horrible. The beddings were not fresh. The towels were dingie. The mattress was unbelievable hurtful to the back. Very worned. Just wasn't what I expected.

We could not find the room since the room "number sign" was missing. The bedsheets were dated and had roaches in the room. Will definetly not come back or recomend to any of my friends.
