Both hot tubs/spas were luke warm. Staff had an air of indifference. Front desk was understaffed. Eggs were cardboard. Several side doors with "security locks" locks were broken. Shower head needs replacing. Soap was the very small cheap kind.

I went to the hotel thinking I was going to has a good time. In the middle of the night my son woke up to use the rest room when he flush the toilet it over flow with water the room we call room service, they told us there were no room service and if we wanted we could of change room. At that time we had to gather everything and move to a different […] room. Kids were sleeping had to wake them up. When we got to the other room we check the room and the mattres had all different color stains and some of the pillows did too. We called them and td them we could not stay they offer to change this time from hotel. Even thoug they placed us in the different hotel right next to them for the third time the rooms were ok. But it was to much for one moving for one night. Specially if you are traveling with kids (4yrs & 8 yrs old). Mehr

The grounds were great and had a lot to offer. The staff from the bartender at the Tiki Bar to the Security Guard and Maintenance staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming. They far outweighed the issues with the room, i.e., moldy bathroom, ants in kitchen area, generally worn out. We would stay there again.

Before booking this hotel I read some of the reviews and wanted to see for my self.....all I can say is I will never return to this hotel nor will i recommend it...the female staff were rude and unprofessional to say the least...the pool was closed because of insufficient chlorine which was a real "bummer"....more staff is needed in order for this hotel […] to be more efficient!!!!!!!! Calypso Cay; This is a merger between Country Inn Suites and some other smaller hotels. The pools were ok, but the renovations were not completed. Dungy rooms at the Country Inn need to be cleaned. Hotel staff was overworked, had to wait 15minutes just to check out. Not recommended for the price.

We stayed in this hotel over President's Day weekend with our two children, aged 6 and 8. The kids loved the mini golf and all the pools. The room was clean and had plenty of space. But: it appears to be poorly insulated because we could hear doors slamming and people talking all night (not yelling, just regular voices) and then the breakfast was ridiculous […] -- I waited in line over 20 minutes just to get the plates/bowls to get dry cereal and bagels. Booked this hotel based on the description of the large suite w/ sofa bed and king bed and kitchen. The suite did not seperate the living room area from the bedroom area. In fact, one tv was placed in the middle for both areas. When you are traveling w/ children, you need two tvs and some seperation. Also the mattress on the sofa bed was soiled and […] old and instead we had the children sleep w/ us as the hotel was booked. The kitchen had no utensils. The free breakfast was lame, only had cereals, toast, hard boiled eggs, and juices. Other hotels offer scrambled eggs, waffle maker, bacon, sausage etc. The plus side of the hotel is that the pools and hot tubs were great. Mehr

We needed a room for 6 they called this a 2 bedroom, the pull out couch was probably rougher than a jail cell and during making it we found all the linens in the closet for it were dirty. The room itself had large holes in the carpet after we got the kids to sleep we went to shower that did not work so I went to speak to the person at the desk they […] said they were booked full and maitenance would not be in until 8:30am or so the next morning and that was it. I think they need to closed down and start over, because right now they are not doing that good at all. I will never go back there again.

Where should I begin? The wait in line to check in at 4:15 was about 20 min. When I got out of the elevator to walk to my room, the stench of mildew was overwhelming. There were fans mounted on the corners of the hallway to abet the smell and dry out the carpet. The smell was horrific. I entered my room and was not pleased with the overall appearance. […] The beds were loud and uncomfortable. The pillows were as flat as pancakes. I found extra pillows and sheets but they were dirty! There was hair all over them. It was disgusting. The tub was old and had scratch marks from the wear of the no skid pads. The drain did not drain well and I had to stand in 4 inches of water when I showered. I was not at all pleased with my experience at the calypso cay. I will never stay there again. Mehr

Put us in country n &suites due over booking. Share pool and services between them. No hot water no towels. Aweful. Glad we spent all day at disney and not in our crappy hotel.

HELLO WE STAYED OVER FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND. WHEN WE GOT TO OUR ROOM WE FOUND THAT THE SOFA BED WAS BROKEN WOULD NOT EVEN COME OUT OF THE COUCH,THEN WENT TO CALL DOWN TO OFFICE AND FOUND OUR PHONE WAS BROKEN ALSO SO WE HAD TO WALK DOWN AND SPEAK TO SOME ONE THEY BROUGHT UP A MOBILE BED. WHEN WE WENT TO TURN ON THE TV THE REMOTE DID NOT WORK HAD TO GET […] A NEW ONE. ON THE SECOND DAY WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM AND THEY KEPT BLOWING ME OFF BECUASE THEY WERE REPLACEING THE SOFA BED AND NOT GOING TO TELL ME, THEY SHOULD OF JUST SIAD WE ARE REPLACING THE SOFA BED AND NOT KEEP TELLING ME THAT THEY DON'T HAVE ANY EXTRA ROOMS. AS FOR THE POOLS BOTH WATER SLIDES WERE BROKEN AND THE POOLS WERE CLOUDY,AS FOR THE LAST DAY WE ASKED FOR A LATE CHECK OUT TILL 12:30 WHEN WE WENT BACK TO ARE ROOM AT 11:30 TO LEAVE ARE CLOTHES THAT WE LEFT TO GET CHANGED INTO WERE GONE AND MY SON MEDICINE THAT WAS IN THE FRIDGE WAS GONE,THEY HAD CLEANED ARE ROOM AND TOOK EVERYTHING OUT. We were estastic that we finally had a pet friendly handicap accessible room! With other places, usually only one or the other is available. Room was comfortable and had a great view of the pool and miniature golf course. Staff was friendly. Included breakfast was decent, but lots of kids! We Could not get the room we booked . The room we got had a large blood stain on the mattress and they would not replace the mattress ot give us a new room, so my children slept on the floor on a pile of blankets to avoid the stain. the bed was very uncomfortable. the breakfast was the worst ...they had hardly any where tio sit and they had one type […] of cereal to choose from white or wheat bread to try and toast in the broken toaster and yougurt served in a big community bowl . But on the upside the hotel grounds are nice ... great pool and pool bar! great bartender named Gerard!! Mehr

Recently we stayed in this hotel and was awful. The room was dirty and the linen looked like used. I do not recommend this hotel for nobody.

I will never stay at this hotel again. I am by no means a person that is hard to please, but this hotel is one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. The room was the worst and people are not exaggerating when they complain about the beds. The rooms had bugs in them and the room smelled bad. We had to change rooms because the shower was broken […] and the tub was gross. On a positive note the grounds were very nice and the various pools are very relaxing. Mehr

Hotel was very nice, staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice pool and pool bar, we had a good time - however the bed was horrible, very old and springy not at all comfortable.

Front desk were friendly, but inexperience. they charge me twice and I had two call the manager who directed me to my bank. My bank had no clue what to do. Eventually, my double billing came off after a week. My stay was a good one. I love the pool, and the food at the pool side was great. The breakfast was awful. this place caters to time share people, and catch you at the door for potential buyers. The beds were not comfortable, the bathroom had old glue stuck to the bottom of the tub, and the carpet was old. I have stayed in many holels that I have paid a lot less for that were nicer.     I Have to say I am a bit perplexed as my stay at Calypso Cay Suites (Kissimmee) on March, 31, 2011 was a bit distasteful.   If I may I would like to explain my concerns?   To begin with the first issue was, check in was at 4:00pm we arrived at 10:30am but on the plus side of that we were accommodated with a room  immediately which was fantastic […] thank you !!!   We were issued room No. 604 which was thought to be a nonsmoking room , well maybe it was but it reeked of cigarette smoke, the alarm clock radio went off at about 3:30AM, the bath tub/shower was so nasty I had to where sandals, we called the lobby to order some extra pillows  and was told to come down to get them  that they won’t bring them to our room. The biggest problem was when we entered our room it was about 65 degrees “freezing” when I turned the a/c up I happen to notice the mold, rust and mildew all around the bottom of the a/c unit (pictures attached)      I cannot say much for the amenities as it rained the entire day we spent the day indoors.     Mehr

Hotel appearance was nice from the outside, Lobby was also nice. The staff had a hard time finding my confirmation at first but they did give us a room but not what we booked for. Poor quality hotel. Bad and poorly maintained carpets. Not so enthusiastic front desk. Rooms were not cleaned on our 2nd day- only towels were provided. Pool was not heated. Very basic breakfast.

We like this hotel for our weekend getaways and we have stayed here about 3 times before, but in this last stay, we had taken some friends for their first time and we were talking so great about the hotel only to be dissapointed when we got to the room. The matresses looked like deflated air matresses! We all slept horrible, the most comfortable out […] of the 3 was the sofa bed! The other 2 mattresses was like sleeping on the boxspring only. The cable was all blurry and I had to fix it myself.... some of the lights werent working too. It was just a sad trip compared to the ones before.... I really want to blame it on that room, because all of our previous trips were great! Mehr

The room was somewhat spacious with a sitting area, small kitchenette and then a king-size bedroom with bath. The mattresses were so HARD we did not get a good night sleep. The shower water would come in waves, low pressure to high pressure over and over. The A/C and heat worked fine. The complimentary breakfast was very basic -- mostly stale breads […] and boiled eggs out of a plastic container. Great budget hotel. Cheap rate, free continental breakfast, free parking, and conviently located between many fast food places and Disneyworld. The room was not all that great. The hideaway coutch was obiviously filthy, with stains. However it is doable for someone on budget travel. Allowed us to afford a car rental, which we used to visit Disney and […] go to other places. Calypso Cay had a very nice facade but I can't say the same for the guest rooms. Upon entering the elevator you immediately noticed the uncleanliness, rooms were missing numbers and replaced with writing on the wall, the carpets we horribly filthy, the bath tub was rusty and chipping. You could obviously tell that this hotel has not been renovated in […] a long time. I was unsatisfied with my room so I went to the front desk and was promptly given a new room. Although the room was a whole lot different it was little better. Also wifi was only available in the lobby and by the pool. Although the pool was closed during my stay it appeard clean and nice. Although Calypso Cay may cut it for some the rooms were below my standards and was good enough for one night. Mehr

Location is excellent. Service is good. Pools and bar/grill very good. Hotel and rooms badly in need of refurb - not a coat of paint, but new carpets, beds, equipment such as m/wave etc. No utensils in suites such as knives, forks, plates, cups - you have to use paper and plastic from the breakfast area. When my husband and I got to the hotel, we went to check in and had to wait 5 minutes for them to process everything and give us our keys. We were not explained we had to go to the elevator to get to our floor. We were given a map, given keys and told about the pool and minuture golf. The bed was horrible and the pillows were even worse. We decided […] to play miniture golf and on the 18th hole.. I swung the ball into some trees. Couldn't find it so we went to turn our sticks into the front desk.. The guy had no sense of humor and told us it was 2.00 to replace the ball. Really?!? This was just an accomodation so we could catch our plane the next morning. Nothing like the pictures!!!! Go elsewhere. Mehr

The pool was convenient but was much smaller than the pictures or discription suggested and the slide was not working or the hot tub. The free breakfast was very poorly handled and the food was bad, would not advise taking part. The room was comfortable but being a sink and kitchen one would expect the conveniences to go with and there was nothing, […] not even paper towels. They had one cart to bring luggage up for 5 floors of hotel guests. For a one night stay, this hotel is ok but would never wan't to be there longer. We stayed 2 nights. Mehr

the rates were as explained when i called an now-a-days you must call ahead to ask about extra fees, the only thing i really wasn't pleased with was that the 2 rooms i reserved had a $75.00 per room hold that took 3 days to come back off my card., and i was told by the hotel that it was taken care of the moment i checked out which it was not. The beds […] were very creaky, and older and the hotel could use some updating, otherwise for a one night stay it was fine, but i would never try to impress anyone with this establishment. Mehr

It was like sleeping at the Norman Bates Hotel. The room was clean but the bed squeaked with every move. The spring broke through in the middle of the night on my husbands side. The pool was filled with obnoxious loud mouth ill mannered children that were jumping off the crab water spouts. One pool was very cloudy. The hot tube was filled with diaper […] toddlers and adolesents. Very messy group of people. Morning breakfast was just as bad. The toast fell on the floor and the guest picked it up and threw it back onto the counter. I reached over got it and told the women their were garbage cans to use. It didn't phase her. Mehr

What I reserved online and what I was provided were night and day. Unfortunately I read the reviews for this location after the fact I had booked it and found out that this location is notorious for displaying a blush suite and giving you dump when you arrive.

Room was ok, pools were great just no water on the big slide seem kinda stupid

I would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel. I booked this room for 2 nights because we flew in a little earlier and the other resort I booked didn't have any vacant rooms for the 2 extra days. The hotel is very outdated. The carpet is worn-it was coming up in certain areas in the hallway. I should've known-when we checked in, there was a guest […] complaining about their room-the ac unit was loud and the bed was uncomfortable. The same was true of our room. The man forgot to mention the very flat pillows though..and the stale smell of wet dirty socks when you walk in. The pool was ok...the 1 slide that was there had to be shut down several times because of some rowdy(to say the least) kids that some unattentive parents let loose. On the second day we headed out and came back sometime in the late afternoon and our rooms hadn't been cleaned. So we headed to the pool--got back to the room around 5p and still no one had cleaned our room..I went to the front desk and asked for a clean set of towels, only to be told I had to wait for someone to come clean my room. So I had to ask the cleaning ladies in the next room for some towels on their cart...they only had 1 that they were very hesitant to give me...we didn't get towels delivered until 15-20 min later. The only reason I would recommend this hotel is if you're a guest that is ONLY looking for a place to lay your head down and you DON'T care about the quality (look and comfort) of the room. The 2 extra days were great for us...when we weren't in this hotel. Mehr

We arrived at 9am and was told to check for room availability at 12. We went to the park and arrived back at the hotel at 12:45p. The same lady said to no rooms were cleaned and ready for check in. We were instructed to return at 2p. We did so and was prompted that it would be another 30min to 1 hour. We weren't able to check in until 330. The check-in […] process was fast and friendly when the time came. We did not have the opportunity to use the miniature golf course, but the room was spacious and clean. Air was on full blast to hide the smell, however, at least the bed was comfortable. Overall, I would stay there again. Mehr
