We enjoyed our stay at the Village Cove Inn. The only problem I had was that the restaurant on the property was closed. Also, we never got a chance to enjoy the indoor pool. The continental breakfast was adequate. We greeted well and our room was upgraded for us. I would definately stay there again if we are in the area.

I had read other reviews about the hotel after booking. I was concerned about my choice based on those reviews. I must say, I didn't find any of the concerns listed. The Onwers/Staff where very helpful. The room was clean and beds where comfortable. The Hotel was properly built back in the 60's, which added to the charm. The continental breakfast was […] good and I highly recomment the homemade blueberry coffee cake. I would stay here again and recomment it to friends. Mehr

in a pretty neighborhood; not very well-kept. Needs updating;breakfast was not good. Innkeepers really had little contact with us. Dingy rooms.

The location of the hotel was perfect; within a short walk to everything you want to do downtown. The layout of the hotel was great - tucked away, quiet, tranquil setting. The hotel's restaurant and bar were closed, which was not made clear to us before we reserved, but they did serve a nice breakfast which was included with our stay. The heated outdoor […] pool was not heated! But it was refreshing during out stay when it was 85 degrees. We liked our stay a lot, and are considering returning. We had read in the reviews that the another couple were disappointed that the restaurant was not open during the off season but it is no longer opened at all. The hotel needs a lot of repair and for the price we paid we were surprised with how musty the room was and that it needed so much work. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Customers are misled to believe they actually have a full service restaurant. They serve a low end continental breakfast. We felt ripped off. The room smelled of cheap disinfectant and is about the wierdest setup I've ever seen with no real door, but a sliding glass entry where the only amount of natural lighting available would be to have your full […] room on display like a fishbowl. The location was convenient, but this place should be bulldozed or at least properly advertised. Mehr

The In was very nice. The grounds were beautiful. I wish though theat the restraurant and tavern had been open. It would have been nice to go and sit on the patio in the evening and relax and get a snack. Also my air conditioner didn't work and it was quite stuffy in my room. I had reqested them to check it and I don't beleive anyone did, because it […] was still unplugged. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Mehr

A breakfast basket was delivered as soon as we opened the drape in the morning - a lovely touch. The layout of the inn plus our room and lavatory area were very nice, but we were puzzled by the condition of toilet and tub area. It needs to be redone to match the rest of the accommodations. I was disappointed that the hotel dining room was not yet open for the season. I would have liked to know this before booking. The toilet in our room rocked every time we sat on it. Other than that the location was nice - just a short walk in to town. The continental breakfast was nice as was all of the staff.

Directions stated it was at 29 S. Main, howver, that was not correct. Took us over 30 mins to find exact location of the Inn. When we pulled in no directions to tell you where to check in. Bathtub could not be filled as the plug was not working. Will never stay there again and will not recommend to anyone else.

the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was further from town than I had expected. Seems like a great place to stay in summer.

We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon and loved it. The owners are very friendly and the location is excellent, about equidistant to everything. A car is helpful for staying here. It has a cottage-ish feel and is just a tranquil and relaxing place. The pool was lovely and at 5pm, someone even came outside to give us some appetizers to show off the […] chef's thoughts for the day. We loved staying here and would stay again if ever back in that part of the world. Mehr

We liked this hidden place. Our rooms were sufficinet enough for our needs. Staff was very helpful, informative and nice. Food was delicious! I can highly recommend this place to others who are not seeking luxury...

This was one of the worst places I ever stayed the service was terrible and the room shouldn't have been rented the A/C didn't work and there was a loud niose coming from a fan in the rest room . Also the restaraunt staff was very rude one night swearing in front of my two year old son....

I really enjoyed my stay at the Village Cove Inn. It was quiet and cozy and within minutes to the downtown area. The rooms were very nice in size and very, very clean. Overall it was a very pleasant stay... I would def stay at the Vilage Cove Inn again.

The Village Cove Inn offers spacious rooms. However, they have some awkward features, such as no front door, just a sliding glass door from the porch. This means that we could hear our neighbors talking on their porches, we had to keep the curtain across the door closed the whole time so that no one could see into our room, and there is nowhere to hang […] a "do not disturb" tag. The location is not the best--they claim it's close enough to walk to Kennebunkport village or the beaches, but the path is along narrow, winding roads that would dangerous to walk on. I wouldn't stay here again. Mehr
