Das Hotel ist sauber und das Personal habe ich als freundlich empfunden. Das Restaurant bot ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und auch gut, bei längeren Aufenthalten wird es aber aufgrund der stetig gleichen Wurst oder andern Speisen etwas eintönig. Besonders hervorzuheben war das überall gute WLAN-Netz und die Möglichkeit im Zimmer per Kabel ins Internet zu gehen (sogar im Badezimmer befinden sich ein Anschluß). Das Badezimmer ist sauber und von gehobener Ausstattung. Einziger Kritikpunkt wenn man einen nennen will ist die Fernsehergröße, die bei kleinen Zimmern ausreichend ist, bei größeren (z.B. Juniorsuite) zu klein scheint. Die Lage am Rand der Altstadt ist ok. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind leicht zu Fuß zu erreichen. S-Bahnen und der Busbahnhof sind in kurzer Distanz.

Alles ok, Preis/Leistung super, Lage perfekt, aber der (weibliche) Empfang im Hotel ist äusserst unfreundlich, sehr unangenehm. Am Sonntag wurde das Zimmer gar nicht gereinigt. Das Restaurant ist gut und die Bedienung freundlich.

"Fair Deal in Downtown Riga"
I've been staying in this hotel a few times recently both on my own being on business and combining it with a family wee-end stay at the family room which is quite convenient though the kitchenette lacks pottery and crockery and the TV is one room only. A big plus is a free parking at the doorsteps which has never been a problem to find an empty spot […] with me. There's is a big insurance company in the building sharing the same lobby with the hotel but once again it's never been a problem. The restaurant on teh ground floor offers a buffet service lunch deal tough a bit overcrowded with the insurance clerks during the lunch hour. Mehr

You get what you pay for! But I wouldn't really advise walking back here after dark as it is a little shady especially given the armed guard in the lobby of the hotel. A very quick bus journey or 20-25 minute walk in to the centre so it is a little out of the way. I advise to pay a little bit more and stay in the centre as you end up paying 7-8 Lat […] to get a cab from the coach station anyway! Mehr

"GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY !!!"
Great hotel for the price, not in the real centre but only 10 - 15 mins walk worth the exercise which most of us need anyways !! :) . Nice Staff, Nice Breakfast, cannot complain at all.

"Tia Hotel- Riga, Latvia"
Ok, so we found this hotel online through the listing on the conference accommodations page. The price when booked through Hotels.com was very reasonable and we were able to book a suite with a separate bedroom and fold down couch. Upon arriving at the hotel, very tired from a long, long day of travel it was EXACTLY like the pictures. Well mostly, they […] did forget to mention they shared a lobby with an insurance company, but that was OK. Check in went smooth, the night clerk spoke English we received our room key (yes it was a REAL key not a magnetic card) and took the elevator up to the sixth floor. The elevators were small enough that we could not get two people and the luggage into it at the same time. Still no really big deal. When we got to the room the room again was almost identical to the pictures on the website, save for the fact it was not a flat screen tv, but who really cares about that. What the website did not show was that there was no AC in the room. None. NADA. Zilch. It wasn't that it didn't work, it just was plain not there. Now this is where we took the time to smack ourselves on the head and curse because being the dumb Americans we are, we just assumed that every hotel would have AC. Well, apparently in Riga, Latvia the temperature is not usually in the low to mid 90's, with no breeze and high humidity so AC is just not an expense many want to pay for. But this particular week it was hot, and even though the windows opened completely and there was a distinct lack of bugs it made for a very hot hotel room. The counter staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly, the food in the restaurant was good, hot and service was friendly. The location was just a few blocks out of Old Town Riga, on what appeared at first a rather shady location, but really was a very safe location as we were walking around at all hours of the day and night and NEVER saw anything that made us uncomfortable or scared. Nice enough hotel but we were given a non smoking room after booking a smoking room and the fridge items had evidently been opened by a previous guest. The neighborhood was pretty run down and although there are frequent buses it is a long way out of town. Also we were often disturbed by loud banging sounds, possibly adjacent building works. "Enjoyable stay"
We were pleased to have chosen this hotel. We stayed in a suite for a very reasonable price. It included a living room, a double bedroom, a small bathroom with a shower, a hallway and a small kitchen. The kitchen was strange as it included a sink unit and cupboards but did not have any means for cooking. It did not have a kettle either. The suite […] was very clean and the chamber maid came in every day. The suite was comfortable. All staff from reception, dining room and chamber maid were very friendly. Reception staff spoke good English and were very friendly. Location was good being only a 15 minute walk into the old town if you walk through the nearby park. Breakfast had a good selection of food but this would not be to everyone's taste, presumably being an eastern European style breakfast. I would recommend this hotel based on it being good value and given the friendly nature of the staff. Mehr

"Tia Hotel"
Для 3-х звездного отеля очень все было прилично и хорошо! Номер на двоих, сами понимаете не может быть огромным. Он просто очень удобный и функциональный. Мне все понравилось. Приветливый персонал. Обильный завтрак. Все свежее. В номере убирали каждый день, меняли полотенца тоже каждый день (Я отдыхала в России в отеле такого же уровня, только в 1.5 […] раза дороже, там убирали 1 раз в 2-3 дня полотенца меняли так же "часто", приходилость "строить" персонал). Сам Tia отель находится в 15 мин ходьбы от старого города, дорога до старого города тоже очень приятная, много красивых архитектурных зданий и скверов. В общем всем советую: недорого и качественно!!!!!! Спасибо. Mehr

Kamalat huoneet, suihkun vesi jää lillumaan altaaseen, äänet kuuluvat huoneisiin käytävältä.... aamupala oli sentään siedettävä. Ei voi suositella kenellekään.

ligger faktiskt nära centrum, även om första upplevelsen var att läget var utanför sevärdheterna. bra restaurang/pub omkringliggande kvarter. bättre juice och bacon på frukostbuffén så hade denna varit perfekt.

Var i Riga fra fredag til mandag. Et ok hotell ,rent og pent. Sentral beliggenhet til sentrum, ca 10 min spasertur til gamlebyen. Stille og rolig sted for overnatting. Ok frokost.

meitä oli kaksi aikuista ja kaksi lasta. huoneita olikin kaksi, eli molemmille omat ja oikein ovi välissä. lentokentälle hotelli suositteli heidän minibussi kuljetusta 14 latia. jos halvemmalla haluaa niin vihreä taksi otti meiltä tullessa 4,70 lat ja mennessäkin vajaat 8 lat (oli ruuhkasempaa)

Trevlig hotell med god frukost.Perfect läge om man skall till Skonto-hallen som vi var på hundutställning. För oss är det viktigt att våra hundar får följa med och fast det var lite missförstånd från början så gick det bra att ha även våra fyrbenta med oss in till hotellet. Kiva ja halpa hotelli hyvien bussiyhteyksien päässä keskustasta. Kävellenkin pääsi, mutta päivän shoppailujen jälkeen meni mieluummin bussilla. Hotelli oli ulkoa päin todella ruma, mutta sisältä hieno ja viihtyisä. Huoneet pienet, mutta siistit. Siivoojaa aivan ihana :) Alue hotellin lähellä aika karmaisevaa, mutta silti ei kahden tytön pelottanut kulkea […] pimeälläkään. Mehr

Edullinen perushotelli, ja jos pieni kävely ei haittaa, niin kohtuullisen matkan päässä vanhasta kaupungista ja keskustan palveluista. Hotellissa näkyy sen ikä, mutta vaikka huoneet ja kalusteet ovat kuluneita, niin ne ovat puhtaat. Ihan ok paikka yöpymiseen - jos sen sijaan haluaa viihtyä ja viettää aikaa hotellissa, niin ei välttämättä ykkösvaih […] toehto. Mehr

Suosittelen hotellia vain jos pidempi matka keskustaan ja pelottavan epävarma hissi ei haittaa. Kyllä siellä nukkui ja kävi suihkussa. Aamupala oli ok ja aamiasen tarjoilu oli todella paljon siistimmässä ympäristössä kuin itse huoneet.

Siisti hotelli. Ruoka edeullista ja hyvää. Huoneen sisustus hieman ankeahko. Palvelu hyvää ja ammattitaitoista.

"Get what you pay for"
If you don't mind noise from street, small rooms, hard beds, poor wireless internet, extremely poor breakfast, but only look for low price, this hotel will be ok. For us its location 50 meter from what we go to Riga for, makes all the difference, so it's a place we have stayed several times.

все понравилось, особенно двухуровневый номер!!! за такие-то смешные деньги!! единственная проблема - отель находится в самом центре города и к нему очень трудно подъехать. Но из отеля с удовольствием дают человека, который провезет Вас по узким улочкам старого города до отеля.

Het is een best goed gelegen hotel (op 3 minuten wandelen kan je een bus nemen (die om de 5-10 minuten komt) naar het centrum of het station. De buurt dadelijk rondom het hotel stelt niets voor. Als je twee straten verder wandelt kom je in een drukke straat waar je ook verschillende winkels vindt. Op de kamers hoor je het drukke stadslawaai wel maar […] niet erg luid. Het is proper, kamers zijn goed onderhouden. Kamer was wel erg warm en koelde niet gemakkelijk af (ook al koelde het buiten wel af). Kamer is aan de kleine kant maar ruimte genoeg als je niet te veel tijd op de kamer doorbrengt of als je maar een paar nachten blijft (wij zijn er 5 nachten verbleven). Personeel spreekt net genoeg maar zeker niet heel erg vlot Engels. Ontbijt was in orde. Elke dag een beetje afwisseling. Een aantal warme gerechten (eieren, worst, aardappelen,...) cornflakes en muesli, verschillende soorten yoghurt, salade, toast, zuurdesembrood, verschillende soorten confituur, gebakjes, koffie (heel sterk!!!) en thee, water en sappen (suikerdrankjes), soms pannenkoekjes... De broodjes zijn niet zo lekker (droog) maar de toast maakte dat goed. Zeker een aanrader voor wie Riga en omstreken wilt bezoeken en voor niet te veel geld een goede uitvalsbasis wilt hebben! Mehr

Останавливались в отеле с 27.07.2011 по 31.07.2011. Отель очень понравился: небольшая стоимость +отличный севис. Маленькие, но очень уютные и чистые номера, вкусный завтрак, отзывчивый персонал, готовый откликнуться на любую просьбу гостя. Отличное сочетание цены и качества. Несколько более удален от Старой Риги, чем мы предполагали (20-25 минут пешком), […] но это с лихвой компенсируется тишиной и покоем в отеле по возвращении из Старой Риги, где гудеж продолжается до 5 утра. Бесплатный интернет с русской "клавой" мы не раз вспоминали потом в Таллине ( мы отправились туда после Риги), где приходилось писать либо на английском либо русские слова латиницей! Mehr

Hotelli oli hiukan hankala löytää, mutta kun osasi etsiä vakuutusyhtiön kanssa yhteistä aulaa, niin se löytyi kuitenkin vähällä vaivalla. Sijainti oli ihan ok, vanhaan kaupunkiin saattoi aivan hyvin mennä kävellen. Lentokentälle pääsi kulkemaan mukavasti bussi 22 + trollikka 25 yhdistelmällä. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja ravintolan sapuskat muutenkin edullisia […] ja maittavia. Huoneet olivat yksinkertaisia, mutta asiallisia. Naapurista kuuluivat äänet selvästi. Tupakansavu kulkeutui huoneisiin häiritsevästi, jos joku kävi tupakalla paloportaissa tai niiden lähellä. Kun hinta otetaan huomioon kokemus oli positiivinen. Mehr
