The breakfast lady was SLOW to refill any of the donuts and muffins. We thought they were just out of them, and we had to eat cereal...then she put out a whole new supply. She had just been standing there looking at them, so she must have thought someone there didn't NEED donuts or something. We found that quite odd. Can't beat this place for the price clean beds are nice. Only thing is the hall ways smelled a litttle bit.

The staff at the hotel was very polite and everyone was very courtesy. I will recommend the hotel to my friends.The people at the desk smile and greets you with concern.

The hotel is very adequate. It's not the Ritz, but it was a great price and definitely met our needs. Check-in was smooth, the complimentary cookies were great, the rooms were absolutely ok. We needed a room for the night before an early doctor appointment at UI Hospitals and Clinics, and it suited our needs perfectly. Breakfast was also more than adequate -- cereals, muffins, fresh fruit (apples and bananas), yogurt, a variety of bread/bagels/English muffins to warm/toast, waffles, or biscuits/gravy. Nice hotel not too far from the interstate. Restaurants are within 10 minutes. 5 minutes from University of Iowa campus. accommodations were neat and clean. Continental breakfast available but didn't use. Staff was friendly.

Had newer tvs since the last time i stayed. Was in a pretty quiet area. Pool was very nice and clean. Heard a train or two but not to bothersome.

Nothing fancy, but staff was pleasant and helpful. The king suite is very sparse, not even a couch.

The location was good however the air conditioner was loud and kept the family from sleeping. The door stop in the bathroom was in a poor location on the floor next to the tub and I stubbed my toe. The continental breakfast was good

The room was extremely basic. No wallpaper, small, bad TV extremely hot at night......It was cheap, but that is about all I would say about it.

Not quite the standard expected of a Baymont. Old tv with terrible reception. Beds way too soft. Breakfast was fine, but facility was way too small for number of beds. Not a terrible stay, but there are plenty of other options in the area.

It doesn't have all the frills that some hotels have, but it was clean, comfortable, great breakfast, nice pool and extremely helpful, kind and friendly staff. We will be back next year for sure. we travel every year to IA City for the state special olympic games and this has been our best and most price effective hotel yet. After reviewing several other hotels in the area, I settled on the Baymont Inn and Suites as not only was it moderately priced, there were no negative reviews for safety, or unsanitary conditions and was still within driving distance of the Mall and popular eateries. This is a perfect place for the price. On check in we were informed there was soup/rolls […] available in the dining area if we were interested. We had a king suite, very comfortable beds,pull out was very comfortable also. Staff was very pleasant, called our room later in evening to check that everything was satisfactory and if we needed anything. Over all, a very pleasant stay for the money and will definitely stay again with future trips.

comfortable room, and breakfast bar was great. would highly recomend. we had a very pleasant stay there.

Hotel was quite nice for the price. Had a good breakfast and was very clean. The shower didnt drain well, but the front desk said they would get right on it to fix the issue. Pretty nice pool, but could use a hot tub.

Great hotel if your passing through for a job or in Iowa City for a job, by far the best in the area, third one I have been at in the area and it is the best for the money.

We thought the hotel was nice and pretty typical of other hotels. The pool was small but we were the only people using it at the time which was great. The breakfast was good. The complaint was the mattress. It seemed very used with a large dip in the middle.

This hotel was as I expected in the price range. Very basic but comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay.

Good and flexible service overall. Breakfast id superb, especially the waffle making machine. I'm deeply impressed by their free shuttle service, which will turn into a free cab service paid by the hotel if there is adequate manpower to drive the shuttle.

Good experience overall. This hotel is pet friendly and a reasonable price. We will stay again.

The hotel was conveniently located and was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hot and good and the staff were helpful and courteous. All in all, a winner!!!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet. Was visiting my daughter who goes to the University of Iowa and the hotel is only 5 mins from her. Great location. Great price. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was ok for one night. Smokers right at the front door coming in. Used the pool. Lock didn't work, pool area not very clean. I expected a Baymont to be nicer than this.

Trip risk in the lobby. Lights burned out by the front door. Pool area was clean but very unwelcoming and sparse. Woman working was there all night and early the next day, hire some more help for this girl. Neighborhood was nice and there's a gas station / mini mart next door.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Comfortable room.
