KEY WEST INN COOKEVILLE - Cookeville

Very dirty Smoke smelling "Non Smoking" Room. The King size bed needed replaced in 2001 .Good Price though, next time I will pay more. You get what you pay for, most of the time?

Good place for an overnight stay

After reading all the reviews (both good and bad), I figured it was worth a shot at about half the price of where I usually stay in Cookeville. The staff was very polite and nice, the room was a little dated, but clean and comfortable with a really nice flat screen Visio television, refrigerator and microwave. No complaints other than that the shampoo […] came in a tear open packet that was very difficult to open. In the end, though, it was a fine room at a great price. The room smelled moldy. The restroom was moldy. Someone had apparently tried to paint over a leak from the floor above. The afternoon staff was friendly and courteous, however the owner, who works the day shift was rude, unprofessional, and not at all helpful. My husband, whose name we registered under, had inadvertently taken the room keys and the […] owner would not allow me to return to the room. I could provide a drivers license with the same address, I could describe everything in the room and where it was, and I had medication in the room with my name on it. I said nothing and exited to return to my vehicle which was parked in front of the room and the owner yelled to workers and pointed at me as though I were trying to do something as I was simply walking to my vehicle. The hotel was great for the cost. We stayed here on our way to Bonnoroo.The rooms were clean, air conditioned and the staff was nice.

Room was in good condition, bathroom sink light had a short, commode was loose but cost was reasonable and overall a good place to stay.

I had driven by this quaint, visually appealing hotel often while visiting my daughter at college. The night before her graduation we checked in fairly late (around 9:30 pm) after a long week at work. We just relaxed a while watching tv and talking. Around 11 pm we decided to turn in for the night and turned the bed back. Much to my horror, there was […] a (fresh) blood stain on the fitted sheet about the size of a quarter! It was not on the top sheet, the blanket, or the comforter. Just the bottom sheet. I didn't call the front desk because it was too late and I was too tired after a long work week to sit around and wait for housekeeping and/or management to come and either change the bedding or offer to move us to another room. I just pulled all the bed linens back up and slept in my clothes on top of the bed instead. When I told the front desk staff the next morning they didn't even say they were sorry...just told me I should have let them know the night before. Additionally this was advertised as a non-smoking room and there was no doubt smokers had been in there since everything, even the toilet paper, reeked of smoke. Not to mention the hole in the wall where it was obvious someone had punched it. Trust me...we will never go back or recommend that anyone we know stay there...not even in a crunch. Mehr

The Inn looks great from the outside, but, the rooms could use more care. Couple of corner cobwebs, small holes in walls, bedside light fixture coming loose; however, the location is great if attending functions at Tenn. Tech, price is cheap, and it was quite clean.

Room was clean but the bed was hard as a rock. Didn't sleep well.

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Key West Inn. The check-in process was quick, and our room was clean and nice. The mattress on the bed was firmer than I normally like, but I know that's a personal preference, so if you like a firm mattress, you'll be happy. Overall, this was a very convenient and comfy place to spend the night.

Visiting our son at Tenn. Tech this motel was clean, friendly, and convenient. A very good value.

Air conditioner did not work, it was too late in the night when we found out it was broke. Staff stated they could have moved us if only we would have asked. I would recommend the hotel, just make sure the air conditioner is working.

Very well priced booked online for the best price well worth the $ Would definitely stay again

We were doing the "world's longest yard sale" in TN and had to stay about 30 miles off of US 127 just to get a room. We knew nothing about Key West Inn but took a chance. Not the newest or tops in luxury but certainly worth the money. Staff was good, room was clean and comfortable.
