I booked this Hotel for an extended weekend stay for our 5 year anniversary. The great reviews convinced me and I was not disappointed. The hotel is easy to find and in a very central location. It takes about 5 minutes to get to St. Marks or Rialto bridge from there. There is plenty of great restaurants and shops just down the street and while all […] the little alleys can be confusing the map supplied by the hotel makes it fairly easy to navigate through Venice. The hotel is very nice and the rooms very quiet. The staff is very professional and nice and our room was spotless every day. The included breakfast was a great way to start our days and was way better than I had expected. There is only two criticism I have and they are very minor: 1. The internet provided even the public pc was not free. 45 cents per minute or for the wireless 20 Euros a day or 8 Euros an hour. In this modern day and age I would expect at least some form of free internet even if it is just a public pc like the one provided. We always check in online for our flights the night before and to have to pay to do that just seems a little silly. 2. The pillows were very, very, very firm but that would only be a problem for some people. So if you like a fluffy pillow bring your own. I would definitely stay there again but I doubt we will ever go back to Venice. So you should stay there instead. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt in einer zauberhaften engen Gasse, ideal zwischen Marcus-Platz und Rialto-Brücke, nette kleine Geschäfte und der Kanal direkt nebenan sowie entzückende alte Häuser im venezianischen Stil, Hotel sehr empfehlenswert, Personal sehr nett, die Zimmer liebevoll gestaltet,

Es war alles in bester Ordnung.( Bis auf den Frühstücksraum, der war mir zu kalt)

Ich voll zufrieden. Die Lage des Hotels ist 1A. Mann kann die ganze Stadt zu Fuß erkunden.

The room was the size of the maid's closet. two single beds placed horizontally against a wall. no room to pass. Breakfast is plentiful. Location is excellent.

I flew in and out of Venice so stayed in two different hotels near Piazzo San Marco. This hotel was pretty shabby, worn carpet, musty smelling corridors, and "out of order" computer. The pillows were hard as rocks. The shower head trickled out water as it hadn't been cleaned in forever and had visible calcium build up. The shower leaked profusely! Great location. We had a quad room, which turned out to be two rooms, which were next to each other and had another door to secure that area. That was nice. The rooms were good although the showers were very different. One was a self-enclosed shower with amazing hot water and great pressure, the best of a month long trip in Europe. The other one was […] a sprayer in the wall that made the entire bathroom wet after one shower. One other note, which may be common, but I haven't had it happen before was that if you wanted to have them hold onto your luggage after you checked out, they stored it in the lobby, including an area out of the reception clerk's sight right next to the elevator. this hotel was in a good location and the breakfast was good in the morning....do not even try to get on the internet ....did not work and was a waste of time. Room was small and shower was smaller...but clean....take the Rialto bridge exit and short walk to Bembo Street that leads to the hotel.

The hotel is ideal for exploring Venice. If arriving by air from Marco Polo buy a return vaporetto ticket from the ticket office by the boats as it's cheaper.The breakfast is good and the staff friendly but the dining room is small and gets crowded at popular times. Reception was helpful booking reservations for a theatre. We were able to leave our […] cases as our returning flight was at 5p.m. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of character,only complaint was poor air-conditioning but you can't have everything and it was good value for money, I would certainly stay there again. This Hotel is good for, the price, excellent location.

The hotel is a typical Ventian hotel. Small with nicely decorated rooms. Very clean, with comfortable beds. Big bathtubs with no shower curtain, but VERY small shower stall. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical European fare, with good coffee. Internet access was adaquate but expensive. Location is a little awkward to get to, […] but good for sight seeing. I would recommend for a young couple. There is a lift, but also stairs to many rooms. Mehr

The room was smaller than anticipated and the carpet and wall coverings were a bit too worn. Clean and quite, but it was not worth the money.

The location is very convenient to Duomo of St. Marco, within two blocks walking distance. We took the water bus from the airport, get off at St Marco, crossed the piazza. This give us opportunity to survey the area (expecially the line to get in the Church) for our visit. We walked through some nice narrow shopping alleys, and our hotel is right at […] the corner. The restaurant next to the hotel is great. The house white wine made in Dolomite area is the best we had in Italy. The food is delicious. Mehr

This hotel is both reasonably priced and perfectly situated to the main sites of Saint Marco and just "north" enough to access all other key areas... Granted it is a bit of a challenge to get your luggage there but that is a challenge for most all hotels .... if you are walking from San Marco have excellent luggage or teenagers that can serve as mule […] horses. The hotel is only a short walk of St Mark's Square. We were able to check in without incident. We had two problems with the hotel. First, our rooms which were on the third floor all smelled like fish. It was a strong almost sickening smell that di not ever go away. When we transferred to a different hotel the next day, the clothes we wore at that hotel […] still smelled like fish. Secondly, the shower in the hotel was so small you could not raise your arms in it. I would not stay in this hotel again. Mehr

I recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. It is not a 5 star however its charms and its location make up for all the bell and wisttles that are found in more expensive 5-Star. We stayed 2 nights the room was more spacious than the one in the 4 start hotel that we stayed in Rome the week before.

Really convenient location. Room small but comfortable. Staff very friendly. English spoken at reception. All in all a very good stay.

It was our third visit to Venice but our first stay in the Hotel Gorizia. We loved the central location and walked to everything. The breakfast was satisfactory and the room was comfortable. Since it was our first time to this hotel, we had a hard time finding it. We got off our water taxi at San Marco Square and walked with our luggage for a very […] long time. We will definitely return to this hotel but will get out at the Rialto bridge and take the Bembo street to walk right there! Great find! Mehr

Excellent location and friendly staff. The breakfast had very good pastries, cold cuts, various type of breads, yougurt and fruits, cereals and drinks. The deco of the room is very venetian, but do not be mislead by the pictures, it is traditional but not old. Beds are very comfortable, and still there are modern bathrooms, modern electrical system, […] and air conditioning. TV are a little bit small with limited channel selection but why would you want to stay in your room to watch TV when the best of Venice is just outside? Air conditioning was a little bit noisy on max and medium setting. The location is excellent a short walk away from everything. Mehr

The hotel was situated right next to the only Piazza in Venice and the Rialto bridge, making it very easy to get around. The room was comfortable but the included breakfast served old lunch meats and stale breads. The service was decent.

Hotel location was convenient for everything we wanted to do. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. People at hotel were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

A nice quait hotel very centrally located!

The hotel was fine for the price. I expected the location to be closer to the Grand Canal due to the description I read.

We had a little difficulty finding the hotel at first, but once we got our bearings all was well. The room was very clean, the bathroom was good, the showere was really tiny. Breakfast was satisfactory, The front desk staff was not very pleasant but was helpful anyway.

Nice rooms, good breakfast, great location. Our only complaint was our room(18) did not have a shower pan and the bathroom flooded every time we showered. With 3 people in our room this called for short showers!

The location of this place is great (right next to Rialto bridge) which makes almost everything in Venice an easy walk. Room was smallish with some amount of street noise but not too much. Breakfast was good with a nice tasty selection. One disappointment was that wi-fi internet acess was not included in the room price and the price was about 20 Euros […] per day (minimum charge) which is somewhat ridiculous. Mehr

This was a quaint little hotel with a great location directly between St. Mark's and the Rialto Bridge. The front desk spoke English well and were helpful with advice and followed through on our 3am wake-up call. The room was clean and decorated in traditional Venice style. Stayed here for four nights May, 2009. Great location, pleasant dining room, excellent breakfast and the shower unit had, unusually for a hotel of this standard, a proper power shower. But what about Room 58. One realises that one gets what one pays for but to describe this "room" as a Superior Double was a serious abuse of language. Even though we paid before we went, we were presented with a bill on check out. We were billed for a double economy (we paid for a double superior) and for items from the refrigerator that we did not take. We had to go to the lobby to get toilet paper because it was not restocked and we ran out. We also had to go get soap which we ran out of, but then […] found a used bar of soap on the shower door frame later on. (gross). Two people could not walk by the foot of the bed at the same time and the shower was the smallest one I had ever seen or used (we travel around the world and have seen a lot of things). The computer is broken a lot at the front desk. The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was great, though looking back we wished we had stayed across the street or at the hotel a few doors down. Breakfast was nice with cereals, fruits, pastries, and cheese slices. Nous avons passé un week-end dans cet hôtel, tout était bien passé: proche des lieux touristiques et un accueil très agréable ! J'avais un petit souci avec le système chauffage de la chambre, mais si vous n'êtes pas tant frileuse ça va aller :) En général je recommande fortement cet hôtel !

Falta uma boa DESCRIÇÃO de como chegar ao hotel, partindo de San Marco ou de Rialto. NÃO ADIANTAM mapas para andar em Veneza. Precisa de descrição escrita, detalhada. "Desça no lugar tal entre a primeira à esquerda (nome da calle), ande mais tantos metros, entre à direita (nome da rua...)...." Isso ajudaria demais aos hóspedes. Tivemos dificuldade de […] chegar ao hotel, apesar de ter pago 85 euros de acquataxi e ter descido a 3 quadras do hotel. Uma descrição teria evitado o problema - que se torna grande quando se tem mala pra carregar em uma cidade como Veneza. Um bom modelo de descrição é que o do hotel Ca d´Oro manda quando se faz a reserva. Esse modelo pode ser sugerido ao Gorizia. Mehr

Hotel supercentrico, a dos minutos de Rialto y a tres de San marcos. Desayuno continental muy recomendable: yogurets, cereales, fiambre,fruta, bolleria, etc. habitaciones correctas, aseos funcionales , que dejan ver sus años. Servicio impecable, hablan castellano. Relacion calidad precio mas que insuperable. Repetiría.

Très satisfaite par la qualité de l'hôtel, son confort, sa situation et son accueil.

Adorei o Hotel, a localização é otima, muito perto da Praça São Marcos! Para acesso porém é melhor descer no vaporeto na estaçao Rialto, que fica mais facil e próximo!

Enda bedre enn forventet! Rimelig, helt grei frokost og hyggelig personale som snakket relative godt engelsk. Sentralt beliggenhet nær vaporetto og få minutters gange fra Piazza San Marco. Rommet var sjarmende I gammel stil med et nydelig tømmertak, og det virket ganske nylig renovert. Lite bad, men ellers greit.

Notre séjour s'est fort bien passé, le personnel était ouvert, multilingue et acceuillant. L'hôtel en lui-même est situé dans un quartier touristique vivant doté de nombreux commerces. Confortables et propres les chambres sont dans le plus pur style italien, et d'un prix assez peu élevé en si prenant à l'avance. Un petit bémol : le petit déjeuner n'est […] pas extraordinaire, et la serveuse un peu brutale. A recommander pour de petits budgets désirant une chambre agréable à proximité de Saint-Marc (5 min à pied) et environnée de petites restaurations rapides. Mehr

Værese nr 20 bør ikke vælges, da det dufter af fugt og indelukke. Vi måtte bede om at få skiftet værelse, hvilket ikke var så let,da alt andet var lejet ud. Pigen i receptionen vidste godt at værelset lugtede fælt - men kunne intet gøre!. Desværre. Hotellet ligger ganske godt lige midt i seværdighederne og er let at finde. En général, l'hôtel est propre et fort bien situé. Comme le prix est fort compétitif, il ne faut pas s'attendre à un confort extraordinaire at des services hors pair. L'hôtel offre un confort de base et un service courtois, avec un petit déjeuner fort acceptable. Je crois que c'est une valeur fort acceptable pour le prix, et la chambre a été tenue fort […] propre. Je passe plus de 250 nuits par année dans les hôtels, et recommande celui-ci au voyageur qui veut être bien situé pour un prix raisonnable, et obtenir un confort de base avec une chambre propre et bien tenue.
