The hotel is nice!! But is it really a four star on our arrival went through to the bar/ cafe where tables were dirty plates of food left not been cleared away I had to move plates to be able to sit. You have one restaurant facility and a bar menu to chose from room service menu is very poor. There was specials on but no leaflets or we were not told […] anything of this until after I had ordered food then seen someone else ordering same as me but knew about special deal. I would not go there again to stay but would take daughter to see welsh rugby team to get pictures and autographs. Mehr

We had a lovely stay here and will be using this hotel in future. Lovely spa

The hotel itself was lovely. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortablly furnished. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough. However, we, along with our friends, found the hotel quite cold in temperature and found that we needed wraps and warm layers of clothing whilst in the main bar and in the main function room. Whilst enjoying our […] meal in the main function room with our friends, we noticed that of the ten rounds of butter that were sent to the table, four of them had hair/fluff on them. Also later in the evening we ordered room service. Whilst we felt that this was resonably priced and promptly delivered, we were shocked to find a body hair on the cutlery. The choice of draught drinks was limited and expensive. However, the staff we very professional and courteous and could not do enough for you. They were keen to rectify any problems. Mehr

Excellent Hotel with plenty of amenities in a beautiful location. Only problem is if you want downtown Cardiff access it is a bit far out. Amenities are terrific!

I can't understand why anyone would write a bad review about this hotel. We had a lovely stay, made full use of all the facilities and also had 2 lovely meals in the resturant and would stay time and time again.

On hotel.com this was a real bargain. I would still have been a satisfied customer, had I paid twice or three times as much. Fantastic gym and pool, lovely staff, nice room and good food.

Fantastic Irish receptionist who booked us in - she was excellent - lots should take lessons from her! bubbly, happy to help and nothing was too much trouble :) Bed linen had a hole in, cocktail lounge closed at 2am when there were still about 15 people in it (after the bar staff had told us earlier in the night that if there were people there, they'd […] be open). Breakfast was ok. Staff were generally ok, golf facilities were really good apparently! Spa was clean and appeared well maintained, buzzing gym. Hotel was fine really, just lacked a bit of atmosphere! Mehr

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere so they have a captive audience if you want to eat unless you're prepared to get back into you car and drive somewhere. However, we do like the fact that it is out of the way. The car park is wholly inadequate - its mostly on a slope, the spaces are fairly narrow and it is set way back from the hotel entrance […] which is not good when it's pouring with rain and you're carrying a handbag, laptop case and suitcase whilst trying to hold up an umbrella. It is also used by members of the gym which appears to be very popular so finding a space can be frustrating. There are Mother and Baby spaces near the entrance (presumably for the gym members - this is not a family hotel) and some reserved spaces which look as if the hotel management use them and that is just irritating as this is not a cheap hotel by anyone's standards. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. The bedrooms are huge and very comfortable and the bathrooms are great with separate bath and walk in shower. Getting to your room is an experience - you are sent down a corridor and seemingly have to walk round and round before you locate it. It is a real rabbit warren. There are also lifts marked staff only - what's that about? When given a room on the first floor, I don't appreciate being told I have to walk up stairs when carrying all the above luggage when there is a perfectly adequate lift in front of you! Cleanliness could do with a ramp up - our room was really dusty. Lying in bed and looking up, we could see the headboard was filthy! We've stayed here 3 times now and do like it - it just needs someone to have a think about the overall guest experience and make some minor improvements. Mehr

It was clean and comfortable. The only niggle was the pool was a bit shallow 1.2m and the internal signs of the hotel were poor

Great hotel, only the second time I've been double booked though! Nice facilities, rooms a but small to be called a junior suite but again, ok for work.
