"Das Hotel in Sydney liegt sehr zentral."
Ich bin sehr zufrieden, empfehle das Hotel weiter und werde es auch wieder buchen. Gestört hat mich die Forderung, meine Kreditkarte in die Hand zu nehmen und und die damit mögliche Speicherung der Nummer. So sah ich mich veranlasst, in der Befürchtung von Missbrauch häufiger als sonst den Kontostand zu überprüfen.

Das Hotel befindet sich in perfekter Lage, da es sehr nah an der Stadt ist aber in einer ruhigeren Seitenstraße liegt. Der Service war gut. Die Zimmer waren sauber aber relativ Kahl und etwas lieblos eingerichtet.

Wenn man sonst nur Youth-Hostels gewohnt ist, dann ist man hier gut aufgehoben. Wobei ich den Standard von Youth Hostels nicht schmälern will. Es werden nur Handtücher ausgetauscht und das Bett gemacht, geputzt (Bad) oder Staub gesaugt - Fehlanzeige, selbst bei längeren Aufenthalten nicht. Zu teuer für den schlechten Service
Einfaches zentral gelegenes Hotel. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in Ordnung. Wer es etwas komfortabler wünscht sollte sich nicht scheuen ein paar Dollar mehr auszugeben.
"Das Travelodge in der Wentworth Av liegt abgelegen"
weit weg von allem, was schön, von Belang oder sonstwie von Interesse ist, bietet das Travelodge akzeptable Zimmer, durch deren Türränder man allerdings die Flurbeleuchtung wie einen Heiligenschein sehen kann. Minibar ist nicht, im Kühlfach steht ein Päckchen Milch. Das stört allerdings nicht so sehr, da der Gebrauch gut bestückter Minibars in aller […] Regel auch sehr gutes Geld kostet. Ein eingebauter, leicht zu bedienender fest eingebauter Tresor ist da, was das Leben sehr vereinfacht. Damit hat das Aufzählen der Annehmlichkeiten sein abruptes Ende gefunden. Ich machte den Fehler, meine Baseballkappe im T zu vergessen. Man sollte meinen das ist einfach: Man ruft an, gibt seine Kreditkartennummer, und für 12 AUD schicken sie einem die Kappe als Expressgut nach. Der erste Teil funktionierte auch, sie bekamen mein Geld und die genaue Adresse meines weiteren Aufenthalts. Auf Nachfrage bekam ich die Nummer und konnte im Internet verfolgen, wohin die Reise meiner Kappe ging: Sie ging vom T. über verschiedene Poststellen wieder zurück zum T., wie es Elvis beschrieben hat: "return to sender, address unknown, no such number, no such zone!" Allerdings dauerte diese Art der "Expresszustellung" nicht bis "early next morning" sondern bis jetzt, eine gute Woche später, ich bin schon wieder zu Hause. Mehrfache Anrufe vorher, bei verschiedenen Poststellen brachten immer wieder dasselbe Ergebnis: Das Hotel müsse sich kümmern, es habe ja schließlich alles ins Rollen gebracht. Ich versicherte mich beim Hotel nochmal, ob die Adresse, die ich angegeben hatte, richtig war. Sie war es. Bis jetzt war nicht in Erfahrung zu bringen, was genau schief gelaufen ist. Die Post sprach von einem fehlenden Eintrag in ein Formular zur Luftsicherheit von Poststücken, was eine Versendung als Luftpost verhinderte. Aber das kann nicht alles gewesen sein. Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Hydeparks und günstig zu den Sehenwürdigkeiten der Stadt. Railwaystation "Museum" und diverse Buslinien in der Nähe.

kleine Zimmer, aber alles nötige vorhanden wie Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Miniküche, ausreichend großes, gut beleuchtetes Bad, große Dusche, drittes Handtuch erst auf Anfrage, wir hatten ein 3-Bett-Zimmer in der 3. Etage, die Betten ließen sich zusammen schieben, kleiner Tisch, 2 Stühle, wenig Abstellmöglichkeit für Koffer. Die Sauberkeit ließ ein wenig […] zu wünschen übrig, besonders im Bad wurde nicht richtig gesäubert, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt ist das Hotel zu empfehlen, die Lage zur nächsten U-Bahn-Station "Museum" war super, in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Zeit in Sydney ist wie im Flug vergangen. Die Unterkunft der Travelodge Sydney ist sehr zentral gelegen. In unmittelbarer Umgebung finden sich einige Bars und Pups und Shops, Der Weg in die Stadt ist zu Fuss leicht zu erreichen. Ebenfalls in unmittelbarer Umgebung liegt der Hauptbahrnhof, welcher aus allen Himmelsrichtungen die Züge empfängt. Die […] Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet, bieten jedoch alles was es für ein Hotelzimmer benötigt. Kleiner Kühlschrank, TV, Tisch mit 2 Stühlen und sogar eine Mikrovelle und einen Wasserkocher für Tee. Das Bad ist schön gross gestaltet, die Dusche ebenfalls. Die Wände jedoch sind so ringhörig das man beinahe jedes Wort der anderen Gäste im Zimmer nebenann hören kann. Mehr

This hotel has a fantastic location in Sydney but I was not impressed first when I booked I requested a double bed or larger.On check in I was abrupty informed my room was going to have two single beds and that was going to be it.I spent nine nights at this hotel and never once did I see anyone with a vacuum come to my room.Sorry folks if that is the […] way you treat your guests I am sorry to say I cannot reccomend your hotel to anyone. "Great location, value for money"
The hotel is perfectly located if you're interested in the theatre area of Sydney. Definitely in the area of Syndey where "life" happens, as opposed to the areas where tourists are normally directed. Bit of a walk or a train ride to get to the tourist area of circular quay but the museum rail station is only 1 block away so no problem with transport. […] Also, taxis seem to use this hotel as a parking area so there were always cabs available at the front door. Coles supermarket just one block away in the underground, open 6am to midnight. Hotel was clean and the room was very tidy with good facilities, microwave, fridge, etc. More than adequate for a few days in Sydney. The pub across the road also has an amazing restaurant with oustanding steak meals, cooked to perfection. Wifi available in reception but not free, however this seems to be the norm for Sydney. Bit surprising in this age. Staff were very helpful with storage of luggage on early arrival and late departure. Definitely enjoy our stay of 4 nights and would use this hotel again. Our room was clean and tidy and the bathroom had been renovated to handle disabled wheelchair bound guests. Great to see a hotel making this effort. Mehr

"Second stay in the Travelodge Hotel Sydney"
This is my second time staying in the Travelodge Hotel Sydney, from the perspective of location, it is just two blocks away from the Hyde Park and Shopping Malls - which is good. Room was fairly clean and well maintained. But the room (with one double bed) I stayed this time is quite small, and uncomfortably small. I am just Asian and pretty "compact" […] in size, it can be imagined that if any stronger man and woman living there would be even worse. The air-conditioner is sort of not very effective and controllable. After all, I would recommend to all of you reading this comment if you are just looking for a roof to stay for the night, it is a fair and economic choice in Sydney. However if you are looking for a little bit more comfortable room, go somewhere else. One thing to add, if you are driving, you may considered parking on the street next to the Hotel, as it is free to park after dark. In considered that the Police Station is just next door, I parked there for 3 nights and no problem encountered at all. While if you are parking at the Hotel related parking cost you AUD25 and it took around 5 to 10 mins walk to that parking lot. Mehr

We know Sydney well enough to recognise the Travelodge in Wentworth Ave. is ideally situated for our needs in terms of centrality and ease of walking or catching buses or the underground, access to the eateries of Chinatown and Surry Hills, etc., and the art galleries of Central Sydney and Paddington. With your excellent 3 nights'accommodation deal […] we had a great time in Sydney and were able to do everything we planned, deciding to stay a further night.. The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet, and the hotel's deal with the Secure Parking station 100m away is arguably the best to be had in a public carpark in Central Sydney. The only glitches were temporary problems with a lift and the universal one of swipe card keys which require regular recharging. Mehr

This hotel was "ok" for the discounted price I was able to get from Hotels.com, but I can give it no better review than that. Nothing about the hotel was "nice" and it needed considerable cleaning and renovation. The hallways had an unpleasant odor and the room smelled like smoke, even though smoking was prohibited. The room was very basic and there […] were very few channels available on the TV, and that's "if" there was reception at all. The Hotels.com ad stated there was "wi-fi access," but upon check-in, I was informed that was only for the "executive suites" (top 4 floors). Wired internet access was available in the lobby, but only via coin-operated computers, and the computer I was on could not even pull up my email. The neighborhood is very sketchy but an easy walk to the park and major streets/bus routes. One other positive, it was very convenient to store your luggage if you arrive before check-in time. Bottom line - If you're looking to save a few dollars on your hotel and only require "basic" accommodations, Travelodge will work for you. However, if I had it to do over, I would pay a few more dollars and try one of the other hotels in the area. Mehr
Was a reasonable place to stay and all in all suited us for basicly a place to sleep at the end of the day and in a good location. Was disapointed, to sayy the least, to get there and hear that they had us in a room with two single beds. Get some more double bed rooms!!!!!!! Great location and easy access to CBD. Please know that the check out time is 10:00 AM. If you are 24 minutes late you will get a call from the front desk TELLING you to leave; and don't expect the front desk to be polite AT ALL about it.

"Good position in Sydney"
The hotel was what you would expect from a Travel Lodge. You cannot expect a 5 star hotel at these prices. Our room was on the 16th floor and after a long journey of two and a half days we were ready for a good shower and decent toilet.Unfortunately our toilet was blocked and ready to overflow. Reception did not have another room nor someone to unblock […] the toilet. We were told we could use the toilets\in reception on the ground floor 16 floors below. This we did want to do in the middle of the night so I offered to unblock the toilet myself. A plunger was brought up by a member of staff and a voucher for a complimentary breakfast but we had already paid for breakfast so not required. I was hoping for a little more thanks or an offer from management but on checking out non came forth. The gents toilet on the ground floor could do with a new toilet seat also which looked very badly marked up. Mehr

We only got two single beds and when asking there was no possibility to change it to one large bed, ever during our 4 night stay. Bad service. Took my husband to Sydney for his birthday on St Patrick's Day and stayed at the Travel Lodge .Had a great stay and found it really close to all forms of Public transport (especially the free bus) and really enjoyed the yummy breakfasts!!! Good location for price, Only about 10 mins walk to Paddys Markets, Capitol Theatre, 2mins walk to Museum train station and 5-10 from town hall station. Room was comfortable enough, bathroom needed a little TLC, mould on shower walls/tiles and bathroom quite small. Access card given to me for lift and room access was not activated so after riding the […] lifts trying to get it to work I had to go to reception and get it sorted.
