It was all you could ask for.You can walk to all the sites It is well kept with great service both in the room and on the desk.It has a nice little bar with casual atmosphere.It has a history connected to french writers.There is a large grocery store on the across the street which haves every thing you would need.A number of great cafe are in the n […] eighborhood Mehr

Spent 3 nights at Hotel Pont Royal and loved it- clean and comfy room, friendly helpful staff. Paid for broadband but couldn't connect on day 2, but within 5 minutes of ringing reception someone had come to our room to sort the problem out! Very close to the Metro, and 5-10 minute walk from the Seine and Louvre beyond, the hotel was ideally placed […] for sight-seeing. We actually walked everywhere to soak up the local architecture. There are some gorgeous boutiques and bakeries between the Seine and the hotel along Rue du Bac. The only issue worth highlighting is on weekdays everything starts at 8am, including building work in front of the hotel, so you could hear some noise (traffic and construction too) but nothing to bother us enough to move rooms. If you want a clean, friendly, conveniently located hotel I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Hotel Pont Royal to anyone Mehr

Le Pont Royal is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location -- walking distance to most of the great Paris sites and to trendy left Bank shops. However, the service does not live up to the charm of the lobby and rooms. This is a beautifully maintained hotel in a very nice neighborhood. The staff are helpful and friendly.

The location was perfect, blocks from the Louvre and fantastic antiques and boutiques...and a supermarket in front for a quick bottle of champagne or the makings of a picnic lunch (or a bottle of conditioner which the hotel did not have.) The staff was very nice albeit a bit confused about a few things. (The woman at reception who checked us in told […] us there was no WIFI in the rooms, just in the lobby. Ironically, the lobby WIFI didn't work but the concierge informed me that there was a WIFI network just for the rooms. It did work.) There were also a few mishaps with the concierge and making dinner reservations but all worked out fine. The hotel was fantastic. Clean, comfortable bed, and so unbelievably quiet for sleeping. Never tried the breakfast as there was a great bakery only 2 blocks away. (Eric Kayser Boulangerie. Well worth it!) Mehr

Although Hotel Pont Royal was a very convenient location for us and is quite a lovely hotel, we repeatedly had to ask for enough towels and soap for the two us (even though our reservation was for 2 people). Additionally, every other hotel we stayed in throughout our 12-day trip through France allowed us to borrow an adapter whereas the Hotel Pont Royal […] insisted on charging us $10Euro for an adapter the front desk rep seemed to have pulled from the lost and found drawer. When we questioned this, the desk manager became quite defensive and petulant. The "business center" is far from what one envisions a business center to be: it is one computer just outside of the breakfast room with seats that look like a wire frame covered in bright fabric. Upon arrival, we were told we could buy internet usage cards for either $5Euro or $10Euro and that the concierge would assist us with whatever we needed. That was NOT the case: we were only able to buy the most expensive internet cards and the concierge was not helpful at all when were were looking for information about dinner and tour cruises on the Seine. VERY DISSAPOINTING STAY!!!!! Mehr

hotel was adequate, but neighborhood was sketchy (especially to walk at night), and it is a longish walk to the old town part of Geneva one wants to see. This hotel is very close to train station; otherwise, location has nothing to offer.

Hotel Pont Royal is a fabulous hotel. Wonderful staff, best location and marvelous restaurant, L'atelier De Joel Robuchon!!! It really doesn't get better than that.

I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We arrived to a warm, professional welcome. Our superior room was beautiful, and everything seemed very new. The whole place is thoroughly clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious for Paris and featured a large soaking bathtub/shower combo with very nice tile […] work. Rare features in Paris: it had a full shower curtain, and wash cloths were provided. Our room had a great view on the front of the hotel. The location could not have been more perfect. Pleanty of cafes in walking distance for coffee and coissant in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. It is a short walk to the eiffel tour and a two minute walk across the river to the louvre. Walking east down st germain, there is a huge selection of cafes and restaurants. We went 4 days in Paris without having to use public transportation or take a taxi to get around. The staff and service were truly top notch. They could not have been more helpful or friendly. Pont Royal deserves 5 stars! Mehr

This hotel is in walking distance to all of the major sights in Paris. The place is old and has lots of history but has obviously been refurbished recently and has all modern, comfortable, and stylish amenities. Big thumbs up.

In all honesty I could not suggest a better hotel. I had inadvertently made a mistake on my arrival day when originally booking. The polite and professional staff not only cleared the room for our "early arrival" but took notice of my traveling companion's "injury" - blisters from walking Venice...and allowed us to check in early. A seamless, worry […] free stay in a wonderfully appointed hotel - excellent location - wonderful neighborhood. I would highly recommend this small treasure to any and all. Hotel Pont Royal is a delightful destination. It is in the center of literally thousands of wonderful shops, stores, galleries, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, meseums and sights. It is walking distance to everything you might want to do in Paris. The rooms are clean, beautiful, and comfortable. Service is so good you have to head it off with "do not […] disturb" signs on your door. It is full of history as well. It is listed as if a museum on the Google map site. Everyone is helpful. The concierge will do what you need for you. The room was slightly small but not confining. My wife and I loved our stay here and would be only too happy to return again. Mehr

We stayed at the Pont Royale for three nights in mid August. The location is brilliant, close to the musee d'Orsay and Louvre and with about a million cafes and restaurants within a spit! A lot of Paris is closed for the first two weeks of August because it is so hot but this was even better as each day was like an old fashioned Sunday! We have stayed […] in the area in the Spring and it is very different, not better, just different; lively and very sophisticated (and expensive). Mehr

My husband and I stayed at the Pont Royal for our 13th anniversary. It was the last night of our European vacation, and we were going to reside in Paris for only 12 hours before catching our flight back home. During that time, the desk staff made our brief stay extra special. They selected a room for us with a balcony view of the Eiffle Tower, and the […] concierge worked tirelessly to land us a table for an anniversary dinner on an outdoor patio facing the Tower by night. The view was amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel for its service, alone, though the room and location were also just perfect. Mehr

The location was perfect with so much around and a short walking distance to many items. The fitness center was simple, but adequate (a bike, an eliptical, a treadmill and an all-in-one weights machine). The staff was very pleasant and always helpful. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed the variety of it.

The location of this hotel is great to see all the main attractions, however when we arrived at our hotel at 2.45pm to book in the room was not ready. The reception staff asked us if we could wait in the bar, when we got into the bar they only had limited drinks available so we left and went to one of the many bars/restaurants available in the area. […]  The room was clean and quite, but I believe it is overpriced for what it is and think that maybe the rating is a little higher than it should be. The air conditioning in our room was broken and the hall way was at least 90 degrees are whole stay. We contacted the front desk and they told us no one could look at it until the morning. It was so hot and humid in the room and no one ended up coming to look at it at all. In addition, we were taking a nap with the do not disturb sign on the door and […] twice within an hour, one person knocked to refill the fridge and another started unlocking the door -- housekeeping. We were not very happy with the hotel besides its location. Mehr

Pont royal har ett bra läge, relativt centralt. Hotellpersonalen var väldigt hjälpsamma och tillmötesgående. Rummet städades ordentligt. Det är gångavstånd till många sevärdheter från hotellet och in till själva stan. Tipsar er som ska resa till Paris och vill upp i Eiffeltornet att boka hemifrån. Det gjorde vi. Slapp stå länge i kö medans andra köade […] i flera timmar. Middagskryssning på floden Seine rekommenderas också, då får du se många sevärdheter från båten! :-) vistelsen på pont royal i Paris var väldigt trevlig! :-) kan hända vi åker tillbaka i framtiden.
