Microtel Inn & Suites Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh

Room was clean, although sheets should have been replaced. Had ink spots or something on them that had been there for a while and through a few washings. Did not get our wake up call that was scheduled, thank goodness we set the clock & our cell phone clock or we would have missed our flight.

Location: this hotel looks very cute and clean from outside. It's locates in a very convenient nabaughhood with all shopping and dinning franchises. It's quiet in the room even when the traffic is busy. Service: the stuff is nice, warm and efficient of services. Inside of hotel: very clean and in maintained very good of public area. Rooms: we booked […] one queen bed and two queen room for five of us. It's very clean and cute in white and blue color. What I like is the cushion pad on the air condition or something else beside the big clean window, and the huge dark blue mirror on the whole wall back of the beds. The tv is on the closet to save space. Highly recommend if you and your family for vacation with lower price, clean rooms, convenient surrounding to Pittsburgh or other cities. Mehr

It advertised a full breakfast, but it was really a continental breakfast. Honestly the full breakfast played a big part in me picking that hotel! Other than that I was satisfied overall

Good Shuttle Service to Airport. Rooms very very small.

It's a pretty standard little motel/hotel. We liked their $20 parking/shuttle to the airport. We'd stay again if we had an early flight. Clean room. No complaints.

The room was very nice. The only problem i had was that there was no DVD player and no av outlets on the tv to hook up a dvd player or computer. Otherwise the room was great1

the continental breakfast was a serious disappointment-- juice machines didn't work, messy, but overall for the low price of the room we were satisfied.

Just an overnight stay but very pleasant. Would stay again. No problems with the shuttle to and from the airport. Left our car there for two weeks. Again, no problem.. Safe area. If interested, within a half hour drive to the Meadows.

So far the worst stay for me. Booked non smoking room, got smoking. Couldn't exchange the room. I can still smell it. Finding parking space was a challange. Magnetic key didn't work. AC unit inside room didn't work, showing some L2 error. Since the window on the 3rd floor only partialy opens and it was warm night there was absolutely no ventilation […] inside the room. very good for anyone flying out of pittsburgh airport they offered free shuttle and keeping your car for a small fee. i would recomend this hotel for everyone

The hotel listed complimentary hotel shuttle. After we had checked in, they told us there would be an extra charge. They asked that we pay in cash, though they did give us a receipt.

Very clean hotel, and very satisfied with our stay. Only problem was trying to understand the clerk behind the desk.

The only issue I had was when I checked, my resveration was not complete. The agent stated that he didn't have what I paid for, but was able to give me a double bed instead of 1 queen bed. This process took about 20 min out of my time which was very inconvenient .

Overall the hotel stay was acceptable. When arriving, they changed the rules that you now must pay a $30 fee to keep your car there. I had difficulty understanding the front desk receptionist . When I returned to the desk later that night to pay for the car, the owner was there. Very nice. Was able to charge my fee, but he never took my license # of […] my car nor gave me the card to put on my windshield. In the morning before catching the shuttle to the airport, I asked if they needed my license #. Then they gave me the form for my windshield. Boy that would've been a shock to come back and have my car towed! I will probably stay there again, but would've been nice to see the changes when I booked the room. Mehr

Very basic room. No frills, but has the essentials. It was clean. Served a fine purpose to get a simple nights sleep. Basic continental breakfast. I would definitely stay again if all I needed was a place to crash and get a shower in the morning.

Person working the desk was VERY RUDE. Many other customers had the same experience with him and his attitude. Even the shuttle driver commented on hearing the same thing from other customers. Charged an extra $30 for parking my car there while in Florida. I booked reservations there before where quoted price was inclusive. Will NEVER stay at this hotel […] again and would not recommend to anyone. Mehr

Fridge had molded cheese and old mayonaise left in it. There was dirt and hairs on the beds. Not satisfied at all.

Kept family in car while I checked in to get room keys; clerk could not recommend best place to park based on room number; room keys did not work on exterior doors so family had to walk around hotel in zero temps; went to front counter upon entering again and clek said swipe card should work on room door -- IT DID NOT so I had to go downstairs again […] and it was discovered that the room keys were never programmed!!! Hallway smelled and room lighting was poor; shower & tub had signs of previous occupant (hair, dirt, etc.) Mehr

If you are looking for a tiny low cost room to sleep in- its perfect. If you need a nice TV, space to pace around, or a shower without pubes in it, you may want to look elsewhere.

Very small room, no blankets on the bed, just three layers of thin sheets. Van was a contract, took to wrong hotel and rancid smoke smell inside. Get what you pay for (almost).

hotel was very nice and room was great! front desk staff was friendly...BUT, the housekeeping (1 older male, 1 younger female) walked right in our room at 9am without even knocking and the DO NOT DISTURB sign was on my door. They walked in on me and fiance without warning. Thankful that we were dressed, i pushed the door closed and complained.

I am not sure why I let these reviews scare me. This hotel was great. The area was great. There is everything you could possibly want around the hotel. The hotel was clean and comfortable. They did not clean my room on the second night but I didn't leave the room until after 11 AM so that could be why. This was the second time ever staying in a Microtel […] and I forgot they have a great window seat in their rooms. The breakfast is basic like most hotels. I would stay here again. Mehr

The room was very small

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Traffic is very heavy. Only change would be food handlers wearing gloves. Definitely worth the price though.

Nothing to complain about. Stores and Restaurants very close by, exactly what I expected.

My daughter and I stay here every year. The Microtel is located within minutes from the mall and many other shops and restraunts.and not far from down town Pittsburgh. the staff is always friendly the rooms are clean. we will be staying here again next year

Except the location is too far from the downtown. Everything is fine around the hotal. I like the breakfast.

My husband and I spent a great night here. It was a little run down looking, but I think its just because it is old and could use a little sprucing up. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. They could use more of a drink selection, but other than that we have no complaints. I booked this hotel through hotels.com. I was only staying one night since my plane was taking off from Pittsburgh airport at 6am! This hotel had a good rate and early shuttle service to airport but that's about the only good thing it had! My sister took me to the hotel and came in while I checked in. When we we arrived there was a rather loud gentleman […] sitting in the small lobby area watching TV and talking loudly on his cell phone. The owners of the establishment spoke poor english and it took us some time to check in due to inability to adequately communicate!!!! I finally got to the floor of my room and as I was walking down the hall a strong smell of curry permeated the hallway. I got the maintenance closet/room...the door was wide open and it was a total unorganized mess...there was an individual sitting in there watching TV and looked as if he was trying to hide. Crazy! I opened the door to my room and the curry smell was just as bad. The lighting was dim and the room very small..it looked more like a dorm room. I wasn't happy but figured it would be one night so I would just suck it up and stay. I began to get my clothes out to prepare for bed when I noticed two small black round dots on the wall by the window...I thought these may be a some kind of hole in the wall for cable or something but upon closer inspection I discovered these were bugs which resembled tics but MUCH MUCH larger. The were slow moving at first...then I pulled back the curtain and saw a few more scurry away!!!! I called my sister on her cell and told her to come back and pick me up. When I went downstairs to get my refund the original crew was gone and was replaced by only 1 young man who understood and spoke english even less. I wanted a refund and he called the managers who instantly said fine. One wonders how many other complaints they received to so readily give me refund without even trying to put me into a better room! (Not that I would have stayed...if you see one bug you know Mehr

This was the smallest room that I have ever been in, I see why they call it Micro...ok for one night but not more that that.

Enjoyed our stay. Close to several major shops.
