Hotel hat 2 Gebaeude... ein sehr ale und andere neu renoviert. Bitte immer nach NEU ZIMMER fragen. Standard im renovierten Zimmer ist ganz ok und entpricht 3 Sterne Hotel. (Klima, WC, TV)

Für den Preis (und im Verhältnis der Preise in Mumbai) ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Mein Zimmer war groß und gut ausgestattet. Freundliches Personal. Auf das Frühstück kann man jedoch verzichten, das entsprach nicht dem Niveau welches ich erwartet hätte. Achtung, im Hotel befindet sich eine Disco (Poly Esthers) die wohl nachts außer montags laut sein kann. Als ich zu Besuch war, wurde die Disco renoviert, deswegen hatte ich keine Beeinträchtigung. Aber das sollte man für seine Buchung beachten. Ansonsten empfehlenswert, auch wegen der zentralen Lage in Colaba.

Eher einfaches Hotel in relativ ruhiger Lage, nicht allzu weit vom int. Flughafen entfernt, allerdings nicht zentral, aber sehr nahe am Strand gelegen. Zimmer und Service auch Sauberkeit liegt im Mittelfeld. Der Preis fuer Mumbai akzeptabel.

Stand December 2012 gab es keine W-Lan (Internet über Kabel). Anstonsten war alles ok.
Lage
Hotel Marine Plaza befindet sich mitten in Mumbai, in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Brabourne-Stadion, Rajabai Tower und Flora-Brunnen. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Prince of Wales Museum und Gateway of India.
Ausstattung
Hotel Marine Plaza stellt Ihnen Folgendes zur Verfügung: Außenpool, Whirlpool und Fitnessstudio (rund um die Uhr geöffnet). Ein W-LAN Highspeed-Internetzugang steht den Gästen in den öffentlichen Bereichen gegen eine Gebühr zur Verfügung. Außerdem ist ein PC-Arbeitsplatz vor Ort vorhanden. Geschäftsreisenden wird in diesem 4,5-Sterne-Haus Folgendes angeboten: Businesscenter, Tagungsräume für kleine Gruppen und Limousinenservice. Dieses Hotel sorgt auch für das leibliche Wohl. Das Fort-Viertel bildet das Zentrum Mumbais. In der Vergangenheit war hier eine Konzentration von Behörden sowie Banken und Firmen zu verzeichnen. Auch heute noch unterhalten einige der wichtigsten Firmen Büros in diesem Stadtteil. Das Churchgate-Viertel, das seinen Namen dem berühmten Bahnhof Churchgate Railway Station verdankt, befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft von Nariman Point, einem der modernsten Gebiete Mumbais. Der von der prächtigen klassizistischen Town Hall überragte Horniman Circle ist der Mittelpunkt des Fort-Viertels. Die Gebäude im gotischen und viktorianischen Stil im Fort-Viertel sind eindrucksvolle Zeugnisse der britischen Kolonialzeit. Besuchern mit einem Interesse an indischer Kunst wird ein Besuch der Jehangir Art Gallery - Mumbais bekanntestes Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst in der Nähe des Prince of Wales Museum - wärmstens empfohlen. Zu den weiteren berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten gehören Flora Fountain, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (früher Victoria Terminus), das Gebäude der Municipal Corporation sowie die University of Mumbai mit dem Glockenturm Rajabai.

This hotel is in a lovely location but 4 main points will make me never stay there again 1) Hemat the hotel Manager has a poor customer service attitude and expression. He was rude, not helpful and acted like he should be the king of sultan and his job was too little for him. 2) the lobby was heavily perfumed like your old grandma's scent and we had […] to hold our breathe everytime we are waking through it 3) the hotel charged for wiifii access at ridiculous price. Even after it not working several times they were not helpful and just said that no one else had a problem. The wiifii dropped out several times and so wasn't worth the money we paid. 4) the pool area upstairs was lovely but no bar service and shut down early so you cannot appreciate the roof terrace like other hotels in the area. Go to intercontinental where u pay a tiny bit more for quality experience. Mehr

It was real excellent pleasant stay with my family at Hotel Marine Plaza. It was more than value for money.The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous.The room allotted was very neat and clean and had all the amenities required and of course facing sea. One of the best hotels I stayed so far in India and abroad. My personal rating 5/5. There was […] variance between the category of room booked and actually offered, although the room offered was quite comfortable. This should be sorted out with Hotel Marine Plaza. The categories of rooms offered at your site and actually displayed by hotel are just not matching. But, as mentioned earlier, the hotel management convinced me and made me comfortable. "Best hotel in mumbai"
Forget the taj palace -this is the best hotel in sth mumbai, and one of the best we have stayed at in India (and we only stay at the best!). A beautifully and authentically restored art deco ambiance, 24 hr dining options, fabulous views over the arabian sea, excellent staff, a glass bottomed rooftop pool that hovers high above the stunning atrium..what […] more could you want! (My husband wanted beef in india..he got that here too! We want to go back!!!! We couldnt see much of the sea from our room so were upgraded to a fabulous suite. ..thankyou so much for our stay marine plaza..we will be back! Mehr

"Hotel Marine Plaza Mumbai - Great Hotel"
I stayed at Hotel Marine Plaza for 4 nights in September 2011. Upon arrival (approx 2am in the morning) i was a bit alarmed and worried as the exterior of the hotel did not look great/appealing. However, the rooms and the general upkeep of the inside of the hotel are excellent and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I think the hotel should possibly […] consider repainting the exterior of the hotel as it it does not look like that which is posted on the internet..perhaps the hotel did look like that a few years ago. The pool area has excellent views over the city, however, I feel the pool area could do with a slight update to make it more inviting for guests. Overall this is a great hotel in a very good location and great staff. I would definately recommend a stay here and I would stay here again. Mehr

"Great Hotel"
We had great experience at Hotel Marine Plaza. The only real complaint was that they did not give any extra toilet paper rolls so with three of us in the room we ran out farely often and would have to hunt down housekeeping for more rolls. This was our only real complaint. The complimentary breafast was wonderful. We were pleasantly surprised with […] the complimentary bottle water in our rooms each day also. The staff were wonderful. We had a small emergency in the wee hours of the morning and they sent someone out to get what was needed and promptly delivered it to our room. The room was very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. We would definitely stay again. Hopefully there is a discount for previous guests. Mehr

"Hotel Marine Plaza - Mumbai, Good value for money"
Good value for money hotel in Mumbai, not far from some of the big sights. The staff was really service minded and did their best to do give us a good stay. The room was large enough and clean. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel resturant were both delicate and tasty to afordable prices. The only negative thing I would remark: We did not try the rooftop […] pool, we left that for the birds. Great view though! Seen with european eyes Mumbai is a dirty city with extreme variations from luxary to slum. After the sightseeing it was nice to relax at the hotel. I don't think I will ever go back to Mumbai, but if I do, I would consider to stay at Hotel Marine Plaza again. Mehr
