Das Hotel ist angenehm bezüglich Ausstattung und Verpflegung, aber was am besten ist, ist die Lage gleich am Bahnhof und direkt unterhalb der Royal Mile!

Ein freundliches Mittelklassehotel in perfekter Lage (praktisch direkt an der Royal Mile, nur ein paar Meter vom Bahnhof entfernt, trotzdem ziemlich ruhig), die Zimmer haben alles, was man erwartet und sind nett und sauber. Das Frühstück ist für die Kategorie und den Preis vielleicht ein bisschen mau, neben Müsli gibt's nur das Scottish Breakfast, […] sonst nichts - aber das reicht im Prinzip ja auch aus. Mehr

Das Hotel ist zwar von außen sehr hässlich, aber innen durchaus nett. Die Lage genau zwischen Old und New Town und sehr nah zum Bahnhof/Busbahnhof ist einfach unschlagbar - also genau das Richtige für einen Städterip, bei dem man ohnehin kaum im Hotel ist. Die Zimmer sind nett eingerichtet, sauber und geräumig. Der Aufenthalt in Edinburgh war super! Edinburgh bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Vom Hotel aus erreicht man sowohl den alten wie auch den neuen Teil der Stadt zu Fuss in kürzester Zeit.

Very good. Internet on the room is far too expensive.

the hotel is very noisy. Traffic goes on all night and goods deliveries are done at the front of the hotel as there is'nt a courtyard

Pluses: The hotel is in a great location. The street-side view is fantastic (back side view, not so much) The staff was very friendly and were quick to respond to my requests. Minuses: You have to park in the train station lot (but they do give you a discounted rate) We found it difficult to make calls using the in-room phone. Although the hotel listing […] had free wifi as one of it's perks, but it turns out they charge you for it. If you look closely at the bottom of the listing, you can see their prices. Also, there is only wifi in the lobby, the rooms have wired internet. If you want to use it, you should bring your own cable as their's is only 1 ft long. Our shower curtain was mounted to be completely inside the shower, so it sticks to you while you use it, and it's made of cloth, so the bathroom gets flooded anyway. Mehr

Just off the Royal Mile with just over a 5min walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Couldnt complain about the staff or the condition of the hotel or room itself. Didnt eat in the hotel resturant so couldnt comment on that. Wouldnt have any problems staying there in the future.

Lovely hotel close to the train statyion. Arrived before the 2pm check-in and they had a room for us straight away. Would stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and everything was fine until we met some friends from London for lunch in the bar. 3 friends ordered steak sandwiches which were basically inedible. The steak was so tough that it could not be cut. When we complained and it was checked with the chef we were told it was supposed to be like that! Unbelievable […] and very embarrassing for me having suggested to my visitors the location for lunch. This is no way to treat customers or encourage visitors to Edinburgh. Mehr

Great location....right behind the Royal Mile and near Waverley Station. You can walk to everything because of the location. Take the local bus from the airport and get off at Waverley Station and walk right to the hotel. Great breakfast. The front desk people could not have been more helpful and gracious. The hotel was lovely, the room was very clean. Tiny bit of mould behind door or shower. Big crack in a tile and the shower did nor drain away well. Half way through my shower I had to turn the shower off (which was not easy) and let the water drain away. We weren't aware there would be no bath, iron or ironing board either. Te room we were in did not […] have a good view and we would hear things getting emptied into the skip in te morning but it did not bother us too much however drilling would start at 11 am as they must have been repairing the room next door which we were not made aware of. Excellent location & value. Particularly helpful & friendly staff. Good sized & spacious room.

Stayed in mid-Dec 2011 with my partner. Friendly staff. Common areas are modern. Great location with everything nearby (including a nice French restaurant). We were placed in a disabled friendly room overlooking a rear car park. Not great but someone has to get that view. The room itself was basic and a bit tired and dated, given away by the non-flat […] screen tv, amongst other things. Nice breakfast. One major gripe,common amongst a lot of hotels thesedays. There is no iron/ironing board in the room. I like to be crisp and well pressed when I go out! The 'ironing room' was on anonther floor. I don't like this trend. However, the ironing room had plenty of basic irons to use. When staying in a place like Edinburgh you don't spend any time in your room (apart from to sleep). This is lucky because you didn't want to stay in our room any longer than necessary. We love Edinburgh. Mehr

Nice Hotel, great location. Superior upgrade a rip off though. Normal rooms as nice with same view, provided with one small bottle of water (between 2) and one packet of biscuits and only provied on first night only. Free internet was Wifi in public area's (no use on the seventh floor).

I was charged for internet connection which then did not work properly in my room. Not all business travellers want to work in the public areas; this is a very poor service. The room was OK; the heating worked in the evening but I couldn't get it to work the next morning so the room was quite cold. The bathroom was large and well equipped but the water […] was lukewarm and the water pressure very low. I will not stay in this hotel again. Mehr

I enjoyed the stay at Jurys Inn. The location was prefect and provided an easy access to all the sightseeing spots in the city centre. The room was of good size and clean. The breakfast was really nice - lots of selections and there was Scottish breakfast to order. The members of staff were very helpful.

Good hotel, slightly strange to find reception in another building, had a room next to lift which was a bit noisy but took earplugs

Was a great cost for the type of hotel and location it was in. Will be staying there again a few times this year if we get the same deal.

Good location, right off the Royal Mile. 20 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle or Holyrood and not too far from hop on buses. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. Hotel has no room service, if you want, call in your order and they call you to pick it up when ready. Odd, but it saves you a service charge! Also, you have to use one of your room keys to […] run the electricity, which is fine, but if you leave it in when you go out (for example, to charge your camera batteries) the maids take your key and you have to get a new one . Other than that, the staff were very helpful and friendly, even let us check in 8 hours early. We wanted to check our baggage since we got in so early, and they would have kept it for us, but since they had a room ready, they just let us check in. Mehr

We stayed there for just one night in early January. The hotel was clean, neat and convenient to the Royal Mile. Our room was on the 6th floor, facing the rear of the hotel. It was quiet and clean. Altogether it was very satisfactory.

We stayed at the Jury's Inn primarily for its location, and because we got a good deal. However, this hotel has seen better days: our (first) room had a serious mold problem around the windows. In the end we had to move rooms anyway, as the hot tap in our bath got stuck on! The hotel's attempts to resolve this were laughable; they did not appear to […] have a handyman or even a toolkit. By the time we moved rooms the bathtap had been unceasingly gushing hot water for over an hour. Breakfast was also not of high quality and certainly would not have been worth paying extra for. I could not fault the hotel's location but would rate the quality of its rooms and facilities as being below that of a Travelodge or Premier Inn. Mehr

Easy to be able to walk to everywhere, but more motel than hotel, very busy and not large enough area for breakfast most mornings had to eat in the bar area, but apart from that no complaints

Staff were extremely help full the only down side was that when we went down for breakfast it was chaos and there was not enough seating for everyone we went down late so as to miss the rush but unfortunatly so did everyone else but to be fair to the management and staff they cleared tables as quickly as possible . Hotel in fantastic location for easy access to all areas of interest in Edinburgh . One side of the hotel you have few minutes walk to princess st shopping other side of hotel short walk up a close your right on the famous Royal Mile fantastic. Staff very friendly rooms very clean and comfy.

If you are a light sleeper, forget this hotel. Road, train and thin walls will keep you up all night

Great hotel if you want to b in the middle of Edinburgh, where it all happens. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times

Good hotel. Clean. Polite & helpful staff. Room 224 has a window that doesn't shut properly which led to excessive noise. We'd still recommend the hotel, just check the windows as soon as you're allocated a room!

Perfectly ok as a business crash pad. Well located. Reception staff seemed more interested in gossiping to one another upon arrival but once we got going check in ok. Room small but adeqaute and comfortable. Opted for the breakfast. Morning staff poor and food frankly vile! Eat out. I'd expect hot food and good service at 07.30. Not disinterest, cold […] plates, luke warm slop and concentrated fruit juice machines that dispense orange juice the colour of 2 day old man water! Mehr

I arrived at 11.00am and was checked into a room straight away. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the train station and central to all attractions in Edinburgh. I have stayed in Jury's Inns before and again was not disappointed with the service and friendliness of the staff. Excellent value and I would highly recommend this hotel in Edinburgh.

Close to rail and most attractions. Clean room. However the shower is quite small. Value for the price I paid.
