Die Lage ist sehr gut mit Sicht auf das Meer und den Signal Hill. Zu empfehlen sind Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken, um über Nachbargebäude wegzuschauen. Sollte Frühstück nicht mitgebucht werden, besteht die Möglichkeit im Cafe/Restaurant des Gebäudes, wo die Suiten angeordnet sind günstig zu frühstücken. Sicht aus dem Frühstücksraum des Hotels ist […] spektakulär auf das Meer. Kostenloses Valet Parking, sehr angenehm. Für Gäste ohne PKW ist die Nutzung der Stadtrundfahrtbusse "Hopp on, hopp off" möglich, die einen Zwischenstopp in der Nähe haben. Diese Busse gehen auch zur Talstation der Seilbahn zum Tafelberg. Great hotel in a nice area, a good base to explore all the sights.

Good views, but i didn't like the fact the suits is from the other side the road from the reception. The hotel must be 2 names: aparthotel for the suites, and hotel for the rooms in the same side road of the reception. In the general, no complains.

You simply cannot beat this location in Cape Town - and the views from the sea facing rooms is hard to match anywhere else in the world (IF, a big IF you get the sea facing rooms). They are a tad on the small side and the basin in the bathroom is ridiculously small, but the view compensates for that. Old TVs and some not so great decoration add to the […] feeling this hotel is not quite as good as it could be. Have stayed there before and service is usually very good - this time we waited for around 45 minutes to check in as they tried to move us to another room (we had booked sea facing and they "upgraded" us to a sea facing apartment across the road). They could do some work in that department. The breakfast is very good and Salt restaurant is fabulous in the morning. The staff have been there for a long time and are generally great. Mehr

The experience at the Ambassador was one of my worst hotel experiences ever. To start, they didn't have our reservation. Thank God I had my iPad to look it up and show them that we did in fact have a reservation. Rather than just get us a room, they made us wait in the lobby for about 30 minutes until they could find it. When we arrived at our room […] we had a king size bed rather than the two doubles that we requested. The room was dirty and out dated. The bathroom was dirty with hair and feet marks on the wall. The shower head was broken and sprayed everywhere much going outside the shower despite the shower curtain being completely closed. We called maintenance before we left for dinner so they could fix it and clean up the puddle left by the shower. Upon our return, it wasn't fixed, the puddle was still there and there was an extremely dirty, wet towel in the middle of the bathroom. I called to complain, their response: "Okay, what do you want me to do about it? The maintenance guy went home". They wouldn't do anything for us that evening. They fixed the shower head the next morning and replaced it with one that was only slightly better. The ONLY redeeming quality was the view, a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. We will NEVER stay here again and have and will continue to tell everyone what an awful hotel it is. Mehr

Good position, excellent breakfast, apartment shabby. carpets dirty,bed soooo hard, we could hardly sleep!! Dont know why they dont sleep on matresses before they buy them?

Lovely hotel set on top of hill but sort of in the middle of no where. 45 minute walk to Camps Bay beach, 75 minute walk ($10 cab) to Victoria and Alfred Waterfront but on both the Hop on Hop off bus route and on city bus route, just try to find the stops and times etc. No city bus maps. Took cab to airport rather than very expensive shuttle at 1/4 […] the price for 2 people. Excellent food in Salt Restaurant on property. Great view in sea facing room overhanging the ocean. Unfriendly but not rude or unhelpful front service personnel. Excellent service in room. turn down service etc. A great value. Would love to go back or relocate the hotel to many US cities! Mehr

The First night the Shower tap was broken and it takes ages for them to come sort out . and the Suit was not next to the sea as the Hotel website as it was opposite the road.

Excellent Location, but service was very poor. I had stayed in this hotel in winters & heater was not working in room. I waited for 4 hours for room heater which was available with room service but no one was ready to bring to my room. After 4 hours when I nominated myself to get this heater to my room then they got it delivered. Staff was always smiling […] but not at all curteous. I was given full sea view room on first night & then was shifted to no sea view room on second day -- It was total setback & was bigggg surprise to me. Breakfast was included in my room's tariff but service was very slow. I waited for 45 mins for one cheese omellete. Mehr

Ideal location for those not wishing to be heavily tourist area of the Waterfront, situated just out of Cape Town on the way to Camps Bay. Our room was right on the water with waves crashing on the rocks below us. Service was of 5 Star level as was the restaurant and room whilst not huge was modern, clean and comforatable.

Really enjoyed the stay, would recommend to all.

We love this hotel and have stayed here four times! The decor may be somewhat lacking, but the location is so perfect and beautiful, that the building's dull hallways and small rooms seem insignificant. The sound of the waves beneath your window is wonderful. The staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a new chef this year, and he needs to […] pay more attention to flavor and variety, (would advise supervision) but once again - the sunset view while eating dinner, makes the less than ideal food and the unappealing menu choices seem insignificant. We suggest eating out some of the time. Breakfast is fine and the morning view wonderful. Mehr

The sunsets are breathtaking from the hotel lobby, bar, and dinner. Food was well above average, wine selection at the bar excellent and tastes of 75ml kept me busy for several evenings. Service was superb - everyone seemed to know my name and want to ensure I had a great time. My biggest regret? That I forgot my wife. Great time. Staff always ready with a smile and nothing was too much trouble . Would highly reccommend.

Excellent hotel. The restaurant has lovely views out to sea. Swimming pool isn't enormous but fine for a dip. The staff were all excellent and very friendly - especially to our 18 month old daughter. Had a suite which was a very good size (the bedroom on its own was bigger than most hotel rooms, and on top of that was the hallway, kitchen, bathroom […] and lounge, with a balcony looking out to sea). Would definitely recommend - for a reasonably priced hotel it works very well. Mehr

This hotel is superbly positioned in Bantry Bay. Last year we had a sea view room in the main hotel. This year we stayed in the Executive Suites which is a building on the opposite side of the coast road from the main hotel building. We were on the fith floor (of six) which gave us a good view of the sea over the roof of the main building. Lower floors […] would not do so wel. We found the suite to be large but with rather dull decor and, by standards of other suites, underquipped. It is advertised as suitable for family stays, but there was no washing machine, ironing board or iron. The latter two were requested on the first day, but never appeared. Television reception was poor on two rather small sets, but suddenly improved on the last day. If we visit this hotel again we will revert to a sea view room. The restaurant was still excellent and, as with all meals in SA, very reasonably priced for the foreign visitor. Mehr

Et meget bra alternativ for dem som ønsker å bo noe utenfor sentrum. Rommets standard korresponderte først ikke med annonsens bilder. Vi ble plassert i leilighet i bygg på den andre siden av traffikert vei. Ikke bra! Personalet gjorde hva de kunne for å omplassere oss. Etter en natt fikk vi flyttet over til hovedbygningen. Kamers met zeezicht liggen direct aan zee en hebben prachtig uitzicht. Met het raam open kan je heerlijk van de zon genieten in je eigen kamer. Prima hotel, badkamer een beetje klein, restaurant en ontbijt prima verzorgd.

The Hotel rooms have a nice sea view and is right on the cliffs facing the sea, with a small pool overlooking the sea. Nice resturant with even better sea view as it is on the top floor. Good service.
