Craigdarroch House Hotel - Schottische Highlands

Wir hatten das Hotel für eine Zwischenübernachtung auf unserer Schottland Rundreise gebucht. Es liegt an einem Hang mit Blick direkt auf Loch Ness in einem winzigen Örtchen und ist nur über eine Schotterstrasse zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war groß, gemütlich und komfortabel, genauso wie das urige Kaminzimmer, in dem wir auf unser Dinner gewartet haben. […] Selbiges war allerdings vergleichsweise teuer und wenig, wenn auch qualitativ hochwertig. This hotel was absolutely beautiful! From the view of Loch Ness from our room to the little bar downstairs were we sat and sipped whiskey. It was a wonderful hotel and the employees were as nice as could be. We ate dinner here and it was some of the best food we had in Scotland! We hope to go back in a few years and spend more time here.

Dinners were excellant. best food on our trip to Scotland. Old hotel and dated but clean. Drive to the hotel is a very narrow dangerous road but worth the effort.

We had a fabulous 3-day stay in July, 2011. It was the height of our 10 day stay in Scotland. Situated in Foyers, a Gourmet village on the east shore of Loch Ness about 18 miles from Inverness, Craigdarroch House Hotel is a gem in the Scotish Highlands. The staff are extremely accommodating, gracious and knowledgable about destinations and where to […] visit in the area. The owners, Martin and Eleanor, bent over backwards looking out for us. The hotel features a pre-fixed four-course dinner each night which should not be missed. Martin is the chef - the two dinners we had were the best, most haute cuisine experiences in dining we had in Scotland. We would love to come back some time just to stay in Foyers to recharge our souls, rather than running around touring. Mehr

Awesome views of Loch Ness from the front of the guest house, inside and out. Just a stunning location. Service was terrific. Very much out of the way, tranquil retreat. Small but well-stocked bar on premises, comfortable sitting rooms. Couldn't have been more pleased.

The hotel was nice but not what I hoped for with a 4 stars rating. Perhaps I had higher expectations because the Reviews were so high. Location was Beautiful but some Simple things were missing that took away from the Charm that could have been and made it feel like corners were being cut.

We have been first time at Loch Ness and this was unforgettable journey. We had stay at Craigdarroch House Hotel which is the fabulous place. We were lucky with the weather it was sunny and warm. I didn’t expect that it will be so quiet, peaceful and very nice and open view to Loch Ness. The service was very good, room was clean and tidy. Also I liked […] evening meal; it was a little expensive but it worth the effort. The view from the dining room where you can see the sunset and all this colours from outside were fantastic. The Craigdarroch House Hotel is a delight to stay in. It sits on a hillside in the village of Foyers, Scotland overlooking Loch Ness. The scenery is breathtaking and the accommodations could not have been better. The inside of the hotel is beautifully decorated and the meals are excellent.. There are many walking trails in the area, a beautiful waterfall and you are close to the other small villages surrounding the loch. Inverness, Port Agustus, the Urquhart Castle, the Affric wilderness, the Loch Ness Center and other sites are nearby. We saw abundant wildlife in the area as well as the very pretty smaller lochs. Con buenas vistas al lago Ness. Algo apartado pero ideal para escapadas románticas La comida excelente, aunque no disponen de menú infantil. 35 libras por persona. Junto a falls of Foyer, precioso. La limpieza y el servicio correctos y atentos.

Nice hotel with a personla touch in a splendid environment. Friendly service but lacked professionality.

Stedet ligger i rolige omgivelser og kan absolutt anbefales hvis man vil ha noen rolige dager. Ca 20 minutter til Inverness på meget smale veier og et fint utgangspunkt for turer på Loch Ness og i omegn. Stedet er kanskje litt mer slitent enn 4 stjerners standard skulle tilsi, men betjeningen er hyggelige og det er rent og ordentlig. Veldig god mat […] :-) Mehr
