Mich hat es dienstlich nach Fort Saskatchewan verschlagen, und ich bin mittlerweile dreimal im Hospitality Inn abgestiegen. Ein neues Hotel, sehr gepflegt und mit sehr nettem Personal. Vermittelt familiäre Atmosphäre. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ich habe nichts auszusetzen. Allein Fort Saskatchewan ist, zumindest im Winter, kein Ort, der zu längerem Verweilen einlädt.

Wir waren im Sommerurlaub mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern; 5 Nächte inkl. Frühstück ("kontinental"): Nachdem wir das verkehrsgünstig gelegene Hotel in West Edmonton erreicht haben, wurden wir von einem mittelmäßig motivierten Fräulein empfangen. Als Gast wünscht man sich mehr Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit. Das Zimmer war sauber und mit Kühlschrank und Bügeleisen ausgestattet; leider kein Safe. Die Reinigungkräfte waren sehr freundlich, ganz im Gegensatz zu einigen Bedienungen beim Frühstück. Teilweise sehr lange Wartezeiten, um einen Tisch zu bekommen. Auswahl beim kontinentalen Frühstück mittelmäßig. Auswahl bei den Getränken: Kaffee oder Saft, nicht beides. Fazit: Preis/Leistung sehr gut; gutes Hotel, leider mit teilweise unprofessionellem Personal.

Ziemlich abseit, es hat jedoch einige Restaurants in der Nähe. Nur Morgenessen erhältlich im Hotel. Guter Arbeitsplatz schnelles Wifi.

Unser Zimmer war sauber und sehr ruhig. Wir waren 2 Nächte im West Edmonton Mall Inn, haben uns wohlgefühlt und würden das Hotel wieder buchen. Das Personal war freundlich und kostenlose Parkplätze waren in ausreichender Zahl vorhanden. Auf dem Zimmer waren ein Flatscreen Fernseher, Kühlschrank, Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen. Gefehlt hat ein Safe. Surfen im Internet per WLAN war leider nur gegen Gebühr möglich. Schade, denn viele Hotels bieten dies inzwischen kostenlos an! Frühstück gab es keines. Man konnte aber gut in der Mall frühstücken, z. B. bei Alberts, einem Frühstückscafe direkt im Eingangsbereich.

"Mitten im pulsierenden Leben der Whyte ave."
Sehr gemütliches Hotel an der Whyte avenue. Einem der lebhaftesten Orte in Edmonton. Gutes Frühstück und sehr gute Lage mit unzähligen guten Restaurants und Bars in der nahen Umgebung.

"Varscona, Edmonton - close to all the action"
Very friendly staff, most accomodating! Although older, it was clean and comfortable. Best feature is that it sits in the heart of Old Strathcona - this is where you want to be for some excellent eats, drinks and shopping!!! Oh, and down the street is a most charming old-world movie theatre (Princess Theatre). I'd stay there again.
A clean, quiet hotel in a very nice neighborhood. Middle price range is justified by the overall quality. Convenient to but not in the downtown and readily accessible from the airport.. In the Old Strathcona district with many interesting shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby. Recommended.

Convenient & reasonable. Booked on line & thought I was booking direct instead of redirected to a booking agency. We qualified for government/seniors/hospital appointment discount but was told because we didn't book direct with the hotel the invoice was already processed.

I love staying at the Varscona when I get the chance. It is in the perfect location for a night out, and happens to be attached to the city's best Irish pub, as well as a lovely restaurant. The rooms have original art for the enjoyment of guests, and the bedding is high quality. We stay at Varscona Hotel 4 to 5 times a year. It is convenient and a great location. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean. There is a bar located adjacent to the hotel but we have never heard any noise from the bar. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

A few years ago I stayed at this hotel, so when my son (39 yrs old) and I were planning a guys weekend in Edmonton I contacted them and made a reservation. The front desk clerk was extremely poor. At all transactions was standoffish, unhelpful, and not a good representative of customer service. Completely deterres me from booking again with this hotel.

"Comfortable and Nice Location"
Stayed a couple of nights on business. Room was very comfortable, bathroom clean and bright, king size bed very comfortable. Rates for the snacks and drinks in the courtesy bar were reasonable. Comp continental breakfast was bare bones but sufficed. Location wasn't downtown, but made up for it in it's proximity to Whyte Avenue nightlife, if you're into […] that. Had a complimentary wine tasting every night which was a bonus. Had a coffee shop in the lobby which was handy. Staff were friendly and efficient. "Varscona Hotel; What's not to like"
I stayed at the Varscona while moving my daughter into residence at U of A. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and wine and cheese in the evening was casual classy. It's location on Whyte Avenue allowed me to sample some unique bars and restaurants while being able to walk home. Parking was included and I could come and go as I pleased; parking […] in that area of Edmonton is sparse and expensive. I used the gym several times and it was clean and quiet. I've stayed in better hotels for less. Needs to be upgraded in order to suit the price, location and service. Everyone was very nice. They should not charge for a bottle of water..

We were there the end of Aug 2011 . It was a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained the staff were friendly and very helpful. It was in a convenient location and I would recommend this hotel to others.

After a bit of a hassle checking into the hotel, we had a very good stay here. The room, breakfast and wine tasting were very nice. The location is great with lots of places to eat nearby. No noise at all which was amazing considering it was the fringe festival. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had the pleasure in staying in this hotel for the past week while we attended the Fringe shows. The hotel and it's staff were very helpful and caring. All staff from housekeeping to management were very friendly and the room was very clean and spacious and quiet for a good night sleep after a hard day of Fringing. The room was well appointed. This is such a nice hotel. My wife and I really enjoyed the complimentary valet parking, breakfast (hearty) and the wine tasting! The local restaurants are all in easy walking distance from the hotel. Staff were very friendly and informative. providing us excellent directions for our next destination in our travels. "Great Hotel - Parking a Little Tricky"
The hotel was great. We had a nice little corner room which was very quiet. The breakfast room was well run and had a nice selection for a continental service. Getting from the unsecured parking lot into the hotel is a bit of a maze. We received a parking ticket in the parking lot and the hotel staff quickly looked after it. Great! We parked out front and the varscona took care of everything including parking the car. Very clean and comfortable. I think roomservice was expensive. We wanted a bedtime Snack but ended up just going without. The party seemed to be going on outside girls shouting and carrying on but I was tired and fell asleep on very good bed and didn't wake […] until morning. I would go back. Mehr

Very nice stay overall (2 nites), but only found 1 bathrobe in the room and on the second day there was long black hairs in the bathroom and desk area.
"Great location...worn hotel"
This hotel is chic and trendy, but needs upgrading desperately. TV didn't work, mould in bathtub, sheets were a dull grey with holes and see through. The tables were stained, pillows were huge and uncomfortable and the bathroom basically not clean. Will not stay here again unless there is a major upgrade.
