This was our second stay at this hotel. It is wonderful with a great location.

I enjoyed my stay very much. The reception was very helpful. The sherry get together in the afternoon was a nice perk. Internet in the lobby was very convenient.

We found the Inn of the Governors very convenient for all the things one wants to do while in Santa Fe. The inn was within very short walking distance to the many great galleries and restaurants as well as the square in the middle of town. One could even walk to Canyon Road with a little time. We had a very nice stay at the Inn of the Governors. Great location...close walk to plaza & downtown area. Parking and Breakfast included. Staff always friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Inn of the Governors to anyone who wishes to stay at a casual, but nice place near downtown.

Housekeeping and staff--5 STAR!!!

Nice location. Only problem is that it was unclear if our orange juice for breakfast was included. The server did not make this clear during our free buffett breakfast.

this is the very best deal in santa fe ! location, charm, clean, friendly, comfortable, free parking, and a fabulous breakfast. i have stayed here several times and it has maintained it's high quality over the years.

within walking distance to most everything. GREAT breakfast with just about everything you could ask for. Del Charro, which is attached to the hotel, has great food and a cool little bar. The only suggestion I would have is to try and book a room in the main building, as there is some street noise associated with the 2-story motel-like building.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a quick two-day retreat and loved it. Great location near Cafe Pascqual (brunch) and restaurants like Luminaria along with Matador, a dive bar we liked. Perfect location! great rooms, firendly staff

We have stayed at the Inn of the Governors many times, and have always been pleased. This was our first winter visit, and we found it a little difficult to get our room the right temperature because there were no numbers on the thermostat. In addition, the shower fixture had lost some of its controls, so we were unable to adjust the spray. It had snowed […] and refrozen the night before we arrived, but the parking lot had not been completed cleared of dangerous slush. However, these were minor inconveniences that would not prevent our staying there again. Service was excellent and the surroundings were beautiful. We were especially impressed with the substitution of dried flowers for the summertime profusion of blooms in the window boxes on the balconies. You can't go wrong with a stay here. Mehr

We loved the decor in our room. It was not your ususal standard colors. It had the charm of the Santa Fe art and decor. The room was clean and the location was in walking distance of resturants. The breakfast was very good with Santa Fe style food included. We sat near the fireplace and all the plants in and around the hotel. We would stay again.

It was a little pricier than what we normally spent on a hotel room, but it was so worth it. Charming hotel that offers free parking in the middle of Santa Fe. Plus don't forget the wonderful breakfast. I would definitely recommmend this hotel.

Only drawback for business people would be lack of WiFi in rooms. Available in lobby.

We have stayed at the Inn of the Governors many times, the convenient location and excellent breakfast buffet makes this an excellent choice. The Sherry in the afternoons is a delight and the staff are great.

The Inn has a great staff, very helpful, but the rooms are small and the facility has seen better days. The rooms were very clean, but you wouldn't want an extended stay in this hotel.

Comfortable rooms with clean quality linens; quiet despite being near a busy street. Great breakfast, fresh, tasty and sufficient to keep us going until a late lunch. Friendly and accommodating service. And a terrific location just steps from the Plaza.

Nice place to stay in Santa Fe within walking distance of the square.

The rooms are very comfortable. The El Charro Bar and Grill is a fun place -- food and margaritas are great! The room rate, including a full hot breakfast daily, is an excellent value for Santa Fe. The staff is very guest-focused.

I stayed here 12 years ago and came back here this week. The standard has risen, and it was already good. I will say that to stay in Santa Fe and be beyond walking distance from the Plaza area is a waste, so this hotel is nice and close to the center of things so you can experience this lovely town on foot. 12 years ago I was knocked down by altitude […] sickness (7,000 feet) and the hotel staff gave me printed instructions to recover quickly. This time I was fully hydrated and ready for the thin air. The rooms here are furnished with Native American plus Western Art and good taste, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. The complimentary tea and sherry in the afternoon is fun, and the complimentary breakfast is much better than the standard chain hotel fare. Some of the room access is outside in the cold, and it gets freezing in Santa Fe at night during the winter, but the rooms have good climate control with A/C and heat available all year round. The concierge service is excellent so use it to get your restaurant reservation or tips on a good use of your time in Santa Fe. They know all the chefs, storekeepers etc. in town. I will state that I cannot compare the Inn of the Governors to other hotels near the Plaza, because I've only tried this one! But I like this one. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat at any time of year. It is 7,000 feet up and paler people quickly burn to red here if not prepared. Mehr

My second time there and they are just great. From the breakfast to the staff. My only complaint is "no jacuzzi". That would be the bonus. And they took my favorite little salad off the menu, European Greens and add some Salmon to it with Lemongrass dressing. They made it for me anyway. A shuttle bus would be nice since they couldn't pick us up from […] the RailRunner. That may be a consideration in the next stay in Santa Fe, as I noticed Santa Fe Hotel did that. Mehr

Small but comfortable room and a very good breakfast. No complaints. Met all expectations.

The staff is great but the hotel sits on a busy street. The hotel has extremely poor sound proofing. They should upgrade rooms with dors and windows that let in less sound. Thankfully the staff moved me from a noisy room to a quieter one. Also there is no place at the hotel to exercise.

Included breakfast was awesome! Very clean, charming, with an excellent location. We liked the kiva fireplaces throughout hotel. Walk easily to the sights. Friendly, helpful staff. Free parking was nice. We would love to stay here again and recommend this hotel to family and friends.

After traveling from Texas to SD,Montana, Wyoming,and Utah stopping in Santa Fe at this hotel was a welcome slow down to our travels. We welcomed the ease of walking to many worthwhile sites and stores. The food is tasty(Shed's). Make sure you visit the Govenor's Palace museum. Hard working hotel staff keeps the property and grounds clean and comfortable. Good security, nice small outdoor all season pool . Very good free hot breakfast with good variety. We have stayed at the Inn of the Governor's many times and never been disappointed. Our tradition is to enjoy margaritas and nachos in the evening at Del Charro, the onsite restaurant. The food is tasty and reasonable priced. From the IOG, we could walk to the plaza and nearby museums. On this trip we opted to take a short riding tour that picked us […] up at the hotel. Making a reservation was as easy as telling the guest clerk. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and delicious as always. We'll be back for future celebrations. Mehr

We stayed here one night to attend the Santa Fe Opera. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and well furnished. We slept well and there were no noises during the night. Breakfast was wonderful and included with the room. Free secured parking was plentiful. This is a good location if you wish to tour Santa Fe.

Many things contributed to our pleasant stay at the Inn of the Governors--the flowers outside, the lovely pool, the tasteful decor in our room, the full breakfast and the afternoon tea, the friendliness of the desk staff and the wonderful location. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Santa Fe.

The breakfast was wonderful! Our first room was on the street and the noise at night was very loud. We asked to be moved to a quieter room and we were moved. The managment was very helpful. A great place to stay in Santa Fe.

Great stay, staff was friendly and helpful. We loved their four o'clock sherry and tea hour; that was a pleasant surprise. Location makes it an easy walk to the Plaza and to Canyon Road galleries.

We actually extened our stay because we liked this hotel so well. The staff was Outstanding in everything & offered us great ideas for "must sees" in Santa Fe. Their breakfast buffet was top notch with eggs, fresh fruit and excellent pastries. All while sitting by the wonderful wood burning fireplaces. We even went swimming in the heated [90'] pool. […] As for the location...2 blocks off the old square, ample parking and easy walking distance to 40+ great places to eat, not to mention the great food available right in the hotel & reasonably priced too. I highly reccommend you try out this hotel. You won't be disappointed. We are already planning a return trip! Mehr

There's a good reason why we have returned year after year. Great value for the money, breakfast included, quiet, secure, attractive and centrally located.

The heating system was the only problem we had...it seemed to have two settings...cool and incinerate...we opted to open the window.
