Die Zimmer sind recht spärlich ausgestattet, wenn man aber nur zum schlafen herkommt passt das genau. In ca 10min (Fußweg) ist man an der Metro Station Alvik und kommt schnell in die Innenstadt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut, nichts aussergewöhnliches, aber dennoch ausreichend.

Die kleinen Zimmer des Hotels waren zu klein. Es gab keinen Platz für zwei Koffer. Vielleicht sollte man in diesen kleinen Zimmer die Betten übereinander stellen!

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Das Einzelzimmer war klein, wer mit viel Gepäck anreist hat Schwierigkeiten dieses zu verstauen, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt ist es durchaus ausreichend und für den Preis absolut ok. Leider war es bei Ankunft im Zimmer sehr warm und die Heizung lief auch nachts (beim Herunterdrehen des Reglers tat sich nichts). Da das Bett direkt neben der Heizung steht und das Fenster nicht geöffnet werden kann, war das etwas störend. Aber das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und bot mir einen Zimmerwechsel an. Die Heizung reagierte dann aber doch, es dauerte nur 2 Tage bis die Gesamttemperatur im Zimmer angenehmer wurde. Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, man ist in ein paar Gehminuten im Zentrum. Das Frühstück war super!

Staying in this Hotel is a real experience in itself. But if you’re looking for more, there’s some great entertainment close by. Just step out onto the street and take a stroll along some of the Old Town’s narrow alleyways, where you’ll find a huge variety of shopping and culinary experiences. The Old Town, with its origins from the mid-13th century, is one big living museum. Sweden’s National Cathedral, Nobel Museum and Royal Palace with its over 600 rooms, and an array of museums/exhibitions including the Royal Armory, are less than 500 meters away. Don’t miss the guard-mounting parade and daily changing of the guard at the Royal Palace. If you’re heading for the Palace, you could head past Järntorget, where you’ll find Mårten Trotzigs Gränd, Stockholm’s oldest and narrowest alleyway, just 90 cm wide at one point. Don’t forget to visit Riddarholmen with its amazing 13th century church.
In the evenings, there are plenty of bars and pubs all around, including the legendary Engelen/Kolingen and Stampen jazz club. If you’re trendier, Slussen/Södermalmstorg, is just 300 m away, which opens onto Götgatan with its exciting strip of restaurants and bars right the way to Medborgarplatsen, with Söderhallarna (including its indoor market) and plenty of outdoor cafes during the summer months.

"Zentrale Lage in der Altstadt"
prima Lage. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten füßläufig erreichbar. Hotel sehr gepflegt. Zimmer zwar recht klein, aber liebevoll gestaltet. Wer den Charme eines alten Hauses mag und kein Designerhotel erwartet ist hier gut aufgehoben. Ein bisschen schade, dass der Frühstücksraum keine Fenster hat und ich ihn als etwas schummrig empfand.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, die Zimmer ein schönes historisches Ambiente und es gibt ein gigantisches Frühstück mit "swedish corner" und vielen frischen hochwertigen Produkten. Werden es wieder buchen!

Das Hotel hat eine Superlage in der Altstadt, wenige Gehminuten von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten dort entfernt. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll in historischem Stil gestaltet, lediglich der Kleiderschrank ist etwas zu klein. Das Bad ist modern mit allen nötigen Annehmlichkeiten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die kostenlose Tasse Tee oder […] Kaffee im hübschen Foyer haben wir nach unseren Rundgängen sehr genossen. "Zentral - Romantisch - Empfehlenswert"
Das Rica Hotel Gamla Stan liegt direkt in der Altstadt, umgeben von unzähligen Restaurants und Bars und trotzdem ist es relativ ruhig. Wir hatten das Zimmer 212 (Standart Zimmer)und sahen in den Hinterhof. Obwohl die ganze Zeit ein Abluftabzug in Betrieb war, welcher ein monotones Rauschen verursachte, konnten wir sehr gut schlafen. Das Zimmer war gemütlich […] mit speziellem Flair eingerichtet. Das Bad war neu und modern eingerichtet. Das einzige was es zu bemängeln gab, waren die Kleiderversorgungsmöglichkeiten. Es stand nur ein kleiner, schmaler Kasten zu Verfügung. Das Frühstück war extrem reichhaltig und lecker! Die Lage des Hotels ist genial. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe und ebenfalls die Metro Station ist rasch erreichbar. Wir haben die 5 Übernachtungen in diesem Hotel sehr genossen und würden es sofort wieder buchen. Mehr

Ideale Lage am Rande der Altstadt, sehr ruhig, Anlegepier der Sighseeingschiffe u. U-Bahnstation in kurzer Gehdistanz. Zuvorkommendes Personal am Empfang. Feines Frühstücksbuffet. Wireless internet access im Zimmer. Werden beim nächsten Stockholmbesuch bestimmt wieder dieses Hotel wählen.

We stayed two nights in this hotel. The staff was very friendly, service was great. The hotel was very charming. Everything was fine, except perhaps for a bit too soft bed.

Overall very impressed with the hotel. Great location and rates seemed reasonable. Rooms were small but very nice and comfortable although bathroom a little cramped. Breakfast was one of the best of any of the places I've ever stayed and great value since included in room rate. Food is not cheap, at least in this part of town. This hotel is very close to the T-Ban subway, which makes the entire city easy to get to. It also sits in Gamla Stan. The island of Gamla Stan is very quaint and historic. The hotel is a short walk to the palace and several beautiful, historic churches, and many restaurants. The room was lovely and adequate. The bathroom was a little small, but more […] than acceptable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. It is rare to find an actual one-piece mattress, and not two twins pushed together to form a bed. The hotel offers a more than adequate breakfast every morning and coffee/tea in the afternoons. "Hotel Rica Lovely"
My only complaint was that our room window opened on to a VERY busy street with partying going on until well into the early morning. However, EVERYTHING else about this hotel was THE BEST!!! I would DEFINITELY stay there again.

This is a very good place to stay. The breakfasts are excellent. The hotel is situated perfected in the midst of the oldest part of Stockholm. Antique shopping is very good in the old part of town (and in some places elsewhere in Stockholm). The restaurants near the hotel are also very good. This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location. All parts of the city can be reached easily by foot from here. It is in the old city (Gamla Stan) but in a quiet location, a few streets away from the crowds of the touristy areas. Loads of (touristy) restaurants at walking distance. "clean, welcoming, convenient - tho tiny rooms!"
well located in Gamla Stan, minutes from the metro stop, and a nice building with nice people. Good breakfast, fast wifi. Room was tiny, and had very few places to put clothes (basically, some hanging space), but that's the only minor complaint. Good value in an otherwise expensive city.

"Charming hotel in Glama Stan"
Helpful, English speaking staff, excellent breakfast and within walking distance to ferries, Palace, Nobel Museum and more. Rooms are tiny, but we weren't there to hang out in the rooms anyway.

Pricey hotel for U.S. but not for Stockholm. Beautiful antique decor (check out the chandeliers), very nice staff, clean room, modern bath & quiet at night. Room is small as are most European hotels, but had comfortable seating, windows that open and free wi-fi. Bedding was a little weired. Sheets just on pad on top of mattress that kept pulling out. The location is perfect for a trip to Stockholm; a few steps from the Metro, in the middle of great places to eat and shop. Close to the palace and docks for tours. Breakfast was one of the best I had in all of Scandinavia, large buffet and a wide variety. An outstanding hotel in the middle of Old Town. Friendly staff. Exceptional breakfast buffet - undoubtedly the nicest and best selection of delicious and healthy food I have found yet on a breakfast offering in a hotel. And this is included in the room price. Can't wait to return.

"Great breakfast buffet and great location"
Breakfast was the best. One lady took care of the entire buffet which was excellent with Swedish meatball, salted fish, eggs, bacon, fruit, etc. First room had TV not working. They switched us to another room. Bed was sagging in both rooms.

Perfect location in the old city. Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet exquisite. Quaint, friendly and charming. Not a big city hotel. Just don't get a room low down fronting on the street as late night carousers tend to be noisy, and area delivery and work crews arrive very early with much clanging and banging.

"Great room for the money"
Hotel was located in the old part of Stockholm and was not easy to find. It was old, but well kept, and a little noisier than I'm accustomed to. Although the building is brick, the inner walls were a bit thin, so noise was easily heard in the room. Small, but comfortable and good price for a short stay. I would rate it about a 3.5 star rating.

I stayed here for 4 nights while attending a conference at the Convention Centre. The hotel is small but comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. The rooms are all individuaI with no feel of a chain hotel. I had a lot of noise the first night of my stay and they moved my things without a problem to a different room. Excellent hotel in the heart of Old Stockholm, convenient to city transportation, shops and restaurants. Accommodations are a bit tight, but the hotel is well maintained. The hotel staff is courteous and well informed. Fantastic breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia presso l'Hotel RICA, ne siamo stati tutti soddisfatti, il personale è gentile, la colazione stupenda, così come la possibilità di una bevanda calda e biscotti, sempre disponibil per gli ospiti di ritorno in albergo nella hall. Vi har oftast kick-offer i Stockholm och har valt ett Ricahotell varje gång senaste åren för att de håller bra klass rakt över. Mina anställda har varje gång varit mycket nöjda.
