Four Points by Sheraton Asheville Downtown - Asheville

The rooms were not what we booked and you could hear every noise inside and outside the hotel.

The hotel was pretty standard overall, but convenient to where we wanted to be. We were there about 2 hours before someone had hit our car and put a small dent in the door, but unfortunately there is no video security there and the regular security is there only at night, so we couldn't find out how it happened. The manager, Mr. Mason was very sympathetic […] about the incident though. Friday night, there were loud intoxicated people raising a lot of noise and someone finally called security to them about 11pm. Saturday night was similar, but this time I called security about midnight and someone came and took care of it. Mehr

I would not stay there again. The plumbing in the room was not functioning properly and the food was mediocre. It was a disappointment.

Overpriced. outdated, pricey breakfast, hotel is outdated. Location was the only thing that was positive about the place.

the rates for this hotel are high in comparison to what you get and other hotels. The breakfast was not good at all.

We wanted a good, clean, hotel close to downtown in an area that you felt safe being in. My wife and I were not disappointed with the Four Points Sheraton in Asheville. The hotel photos doesn't accurately reflect the actual hotel. The service was not what you would expect from a Sheraton. I had to move rooms twice and the elevator was broken as well. You could barely walk through the hallways because each morning the cleaning staff blocked them with carts, towels, and sheets from every room thrown in the hallway. I […] got food once while I was there and the underneath of my plate was sticky-when I lifted the plate their was mold growing under it. With all that said-it was a great location and somewhat reasonable price-but I expected so much more. Mehr

The Sheraton is a great spot if you are planning to spend a lot of time downtown. The lobby and elevators are pretty run down, but the room was adequately comfortable and the bathroom was clean. We did not need much as we spend most of our time wandering around Asheville- but I would not recommend it if you will need to spend a lot of time in your hotel […] room. It's definitely not swanky. Hotel is nothing fancy, but I'm not too demanding in general. It's clean and in a great location.

OK, but showing it's age. Great location, but not really worth the room rates.

My fiance and I wanted to visit Asheville for the weekend and be close to Downtown. It was a convenient location and we were able to walk all around Downtown Asheville. The room was very nice and comfortable and more than what I was expecting. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Asheville, NC.

Nice place Staff very friendly and helpfull. The room was samll and a lot of money for what you get

We weren't there for very long, but we had a very nice stay. Members of our group really enjoyed the workout facilities. The bar and dining area was good and very convenient. The hotel is located right in the heart of downtown so it was very easy to walk everywhere we were interested in going nearby. The room was very comfortable and clean.

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel is within walking distace of downtown Ashville. The only time we drove was to go to the Biltmore House. Hotel staff was very friendly. Food at The Chop House Restaurant was very good.

This hotel was the perfect location for our concert at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful! We asked for an early check in and we got into our room hours earlier than we expected which after a 12 hr car ride was really appreciated! I would definitely stay here again.

If you simply desire a room with a bed at a high room rate then this hotel will suffice, but if you expect a reasonable level of cutomer care and service then I suggest you book a room at another hotel because this Sheraton is high priced with little to offer for the money.

I was disappointed with this Sheraton Hotel. I thought it would provide more activities--spa, exercising, events. Others do. This hotel was overpriced. I would not recommend this hotel for people that are looking for in-hotel activities. Luckily, it is located near downtown where people can find excitement. This hotel was ok --- but the wifi -- was not working properly so it took some time to get us connected. The staff was very nice and the location was good.

Very satisfied with hotel location, cleanliness and friendly hotel staff. I would definately stay there again.

The hotel was closer to the freeway than we had hoped. It was listed as downtown but it was actually on the very edge of downtown. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms large and comfortable. The special egg and meat breakfast at $2.99 was a real bargain!!

It was like 1972. Dark brown and gross. Rooms, elevator, lobby, everything, was old and dengy. Would never stay there again.

This hotel would have been great except that our room was right by the front desk, which meant that every time someone checked in the hotel at night or when late night revelers returned to the hotel, their loud voices woke us up. I requested another room, but the front desk staff said no other rooms were available.

The hotel was nicely located in the heart of Asheville. It was easy to walk anywhere downtown and then when we went further afield the hotel was easy to reach from the highway. Would definitely stay there again. You can definitely see the age of the hotel and it could do with a remodel. This was made up for with a great and friendly staff.

The Four Points Asheville is an older building -- you can tell by looking at the bathroom door, or the older, giant tank toilet -- but has been recently updated. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and it was just on the border of the city. We walked everywhere we went downtown.

Four Points is a very comfortable, clean hotel within walking distance to just about anything in downtown Asheville. Very clean, stylish room, helpful staff and excellent breakfast (didn't eat dinner there). I will definitely stay there again.

Problem finding the hotel, Trees was obstructing view of hotel name due to direction we came from. Had to stop at another hotel across from the street to ask for directions. We were not pleased with our steak which was tough and could not eat when we had supper at the hotel dining room.

The hotel was very comfortable. But breakfast is not included in the price and our room faced the highway which had late night construction while we tried to sleep.

our visit started with a mixup in our reservation. what should have been a king room (which had been confirmed at hotels.com) was delivered as a two-double room. we went to the front desk and were (begrudgingly) given a king room. but only after the woman who helped us ensured we - and everyone within earshot - knew it was inconveniencing another hotel […] guest and made us feel like we expected too much. from there, the sheets didn't fit the bed and kept coming off the mattress, the walls were thin and the overall comfort of the room lacked. the other hotel employees were very nice, and the location was great for walking to the phenomenal restaurants in downtown Asheville. While the room was as expected for the price, the attitudes and behaviors of the staff was lacking, in my view. When I called to inquire about a charge that appeared on my bill, I was interrupted and snickered at by one of the male workers. He acted annoyed, as if I was stupid for asking why a misc. $50 fee was added to my bill. Then, in the midst of […] checking out, the female worker behind the counter answered the telephone, handling our complete check-out without really speaking to us, other than to quickly ask if our stay was ok. Well, it is hard to go into details when the person is on the phone, so we did not have an opportunity to respond, and therefore didn't. The breakfast was not great, and when my order came to the table, I realized some of the items on the plate were not correct. The server who was apparently filling in for the girl who originally took the order snapped back as if to say that his error was my fault in some way. The room was not expensive, and overall it was fine for what we needed. If you are expecting to be treated like a "guest", hopefully our experience was simply one of bad luck or timing with the staff. The location is great, very convenient to downtown and the Grove Park Inn. Mehr

Chop house restaurant on site was great!

This was the second year we stayed at this hotel due to its ultra-convenience to downtown. Unfortunately, we were next to a room with a dog that was left alone from about 8-11 pm, so it barked during that entire time. We were trying to get an early night's sleep but it was impossible. When we complained, the hotel staff was apologetic but did not offer […] any solution except "we'd move you if the hotel wasn't full." Why would we have to move? Pet friendly hotels should segregate the animals to one particular wing if possible. Then at 2 a.m. after the dog owners came home, some guy was chatting on his cell phone in the hallway loudly until I complained directly to him! The hotel needs to ensure better quiet by maybe adding more security. Mehr

Hotel location was excellent. Room was clean and nice size. Our room was not ready when we tried to check in two times that afternoon. However, management was very gracious in comping us dinner to make up for the delay. We very much enjoyed our stay and would go there again.

This hotel was a good price however it's more like a comfort inn than a Sheraton

Very convenient for downtown area, breakfast buffet was no good. i suggest dining elsewhere.
