Clarion Hotel West Springfield - West Springfield

Liked the set up and scenery of pool area with tiki bar, restaurant and HOOPS. Great access to shopping and restaurants --furniture was very outdated. Took away the comfort and feel of room. --entrance road to hotel was a little "shady" feeling. Uncomfortable with that Disappointed in not being allowed an upgrade in an empty hotel

Hotel was not a 3-star hotel.

Nice place to stay. Room I stayed in first time had 2 missing lights, bad TV. Second time. Room much better. Cont breakfast was OK. Pool big plus with the kids.

Mixed reviews led us to give this a try, but we were disappointed with the condition of the property. Our room was in the business tower at the rear of the property, but it was in much need of renovation. For a 3 star property, I expected a bit more. The beds were fine. The location is good with many restaurants nearby and it is just off the freeway, […] so I assume that is helping to bring up the rating. The pool area seems to have better maintenance and the rooms adjacent to the courtyard might also be in better condition, but the business tower needs a complete decor overhaul to be in line with a 3 star rating. Booked this hotel because the only one we could find with BigE in progress. The downstairs is lovely. The breakfast is lovely. The room was disgusting. Wallpaper peeling off, mold on AC & bath. Filthy rug and wainscotting. TV unusable. Manager moved us to another room and it was only margonally better. The rooms, halls, stairs and grounds need major […] work. Sorry Clarion, never again. We were really upset about the condition of this hotel!! Mold on the ceiling, where there had been a previous leak. Everything worn and old, wall s paper thin, very uncomfortable mattress. These conditions are unacceptable and a disgrace for Clarion Hotels!

Everything we expected. Very helpful hotel staff.

The hotel was adequate, unfortunately half the lights in my room didn't work and the internet came in and out.

Had no problems, got tickets for 6 flags at a great price. Convenient spot with shopping and a few restaurants all within walking. Beatiful garden/fountain at front entrance.

The Clarion didn't look all that great from the out side at night. But decided to stay after looking at 3 other hotels in the same area. The price was right, the room was clean, and the amenities were good(refrigerator and complimentary hot and cold breakfast). The breakfast wasn't bad. The room was large and it had a second door that led out into an […] atrium, which was pretty. When I did see the hotel in the day, it looked much nicer and well kepted. Mehr

The staff was wonderful, the food was fair, but the pool and business center were a god send.

Everything was ok except for the room service. It was non-existent. They did not answer the phone at the first number I called, and I had to call the front desk to find out I should be calling another number. They never answered, so I had to go down and place the order. I had already retired for the night and was not pleased to not be able to get room […] service. Mehr

The location of this hotel was very good, as we were planning a trip to Six Flags, however, the accommodations were less than satisfying. The room had a horrible odor. The television was old and most of the channels that were "advertised" on the channel guide did not come in. The wireless internet was about the only feature that did work well. The pool […] was nice, but always very crowded with a very rough bunch of kids and teenagers. They were jumping, yelling, pushing and no one was enforcing the clearly posted pool rules. The waiter and waitress staff at the hotel restaurant, Barclays, were rude and clearly not focused on any kind of customer service. The food wasn't even that good. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

ok room with a nice pool but first room had a leak in the celling and the next room had a ant problem

Our first room had a fly infestation. The staff was accomodating in providing us with a different and better room. However, the second room had a problem with ants. The pool was large, but very cloudy. Overall, our experience was disappointing when considering the cost of the room.

My husband and I try to get alone time and we always choose this hotel. On this ocassion, I checked in, went to the room and had gotten an emergency call that a family member had an accident, living close we went home. we decided in the morning we didn't want to waste the money we already paid for the room, so we were going to go, have some breakfast, […] and just relax until it was time check out. To my surprise when I went to use the key, it didn't work. Went to the desk got another but this time, someone opened the door. appearantly, the couple behind me, I reconnized her were given the same room, MY ROOM, the front desk said their computer went down, I can't beleive she couldn't remember within 5 minutes, who she gave the room too. Anyway, she gave me another room, a smoking room, which I have asthma and was disgusted at the smell. I will never go back there again. I was totally embarassed and humility. Mehr
