Firstly I disgusted that as a guest of the hotel I was supposed to pay for parking. At the majority of hotels this cost is included. Secondly the room had single beds - hardly conducive to a romantic venue.

We stayed in the Park Inn jut to put our head down overnight whilst househunting in the area, paying £40 for the night on a special offer our expectations were very low. Surprisingly, the hotel was lovely, bright, clean and the rooms were on parr with Travelodge/Premier Inn which we well over twice the price. A dodgy area but really convenient for Watford […] Junction and short walk to a nice part of Watford for restaurants and shops. I've stayed here before and it was good with friendly and efficient service. This time definitely not! Booked a double and was allocated a twin, when I asked to be changed reception said I'd booked a twin and I was told I wouldn't be changed unless I could prove it! When I got proof (even then it was difficult getting them to accept it) I was allocated […] a room where the AC/heater didn't work and the tv remote control batteries were dead. Very good value for money. I booked way in advance on Hotels.com, and got a truly great deal. For what I paid you couldn't argue about anything. The twin bed room was pretty small, and the twin beds were so close together, bit awkward when sharing with a mate. the stay was good, however the rooms have very thin walls, and the when you switch off the aircon, it makes a noise all night !!! food was good tho, and the staff very attentive.

On first impressions it looked like a standard hotel but once inside it was modern and clean. The room we stayed in was on the rather small side but because we were on staying the one night and wouldn't be spending much time in the room this wasn't an issue. In the immediate area there isn't many place to eat or drink and we found ourselves have to […] walk a fair way for a meal (as the hotel restaurant was expensive). We woke up to realise that breakfast finished at 11 so in rushing we asked at reception if we could have a breakfast (this was at 10.45) he said yes so we went through and there was hardly anything left on the buffet which you can understand with it been so close to finishing. On check out we were then told that breakfast was £12.50 each and it would be charged to the card in which we made our reservation. Parking was. £7.50 which I believe is abit excessive for just the one night (I wasn't even there 24hours). All in all the hotel was nice but the location and the expense of staying was unsatisfactory Mehr

We had booked a double room but when we checked in were given two single beds. Then the power outlets in the room weren't working so we were moved (to a double room!) After navigating through the tiny corridor doors that is! The bed was like a plank of wood and the aircon unit was a bit dodgy so wouldn't heat the room = freezing cold all night! The […] room & bathroom were clean however and there were plenty of pillows and towels. The included breakfast was...well a standard hotel breakfast. I didn't expect anything decent. Having to ask for milk was a little annoying though! All in all, alright for the price we paid using the january sale, but I would not have been happy paying the full rate! Mehr

Decent hotel, very close to Watford Junction. No decent restaurants within a reasonable walking distance. Extra payments for car parking and wi-fi. For goodness sake, shouldn't wi-fi be FREE in every business hotel these days?

I have stayed at this hotel a few times over the last couple of years this stay was most dissapointing. there is a nightclub near by which was thumping out music late into the eveing and there is was party booked into the hotel which made enough noise in the corridors. Recently refurbished internally in warm colours, but poor inter-room sound-proofing: light switches and bathroom noises readily-apparent from other rooms. Could be worth asking for a room not on the side of the main road, since traffic noise also noticeable. Bar area looked attractive for bar snacks but had already sorted out eating, so didn't try […] it. Although the exact location of the hotel is a bit odd, it's actually very convenient for both Watford Junction and Central Watford - each only 500m on foot. Mehr

Room 214 allocated was adjacent to the entire heating and ventilating system on the roof which never stopped making a lot of noise all night. The bathroom was perfect, but in our opinion the room are was not too suited as a twin let alone for a double bed as we asked. Upon arrival we were extremely disappointed to find that we had twin beds instead of a double. All members of my party (4 couples in 4 rooms) all had twin beds. As we had booked through hotels.com they do not guarantee a double bed so bear this in mind before booking. The rooms are very small for 2 people but clean! Excellent value. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Watford Junction and bus service to Heathrow Airport. It would be useful if the hotel had bus and train schedules available for those of us who don't use computers. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful.

Found the hotel room to be very small. Booked a twin room. The twin was a 2 single beds one inch apart from each other. TV not working in room. Door housing electrics was broken. Aircon took ages to work. However on a positive note the shower was fabulous. But I can't stress how small the room was. 10x10 or therebouts.

Despite reading negative comments in previous reviews I must speak as I find and we were very satisfied with this hotel. We arrived late on Friday night after being taken all around Watford by a "crazy" satnav.Easy parking and plenty of it. Check in was swift and easy from a very pleasant young man. Check in was very slow,no bar facilities after 11 pm & no food even ehen they have a room service menu,not what you need after a long drive. Staff are clue les when ordering a taxi & waited for 45 mins for an iron & ironing board gave up in the end never arrived! Reception staff most helpful, even though I arrived earlier than normal check-in, when they knew I had another train to catch to meet my Husband in London. Room was clean and comfortable and had aircon, if you didn't want the road noise from having windows open. Overall the hotel is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However housekeeping needs to be looked at as hand towels were not changed, dirty coffee mugs were not replaced on two occasions andy pint mugs that were used for ice remained in the room for entirety of our stay.

When we went to bed at 12 on the evening it sounded that we where sleeping on the street , could not sleep when we went down to complain we where given a other room at the back of the hotel. After a small problem with the booking, given a twin room and not a double this was corrected by a rude man on reception. Good location close to the train station. Rooms are a bit small but with all essentials. Be aware the rooms facing the main street are very noisy. The lift was not working when we stayed there. It does offer what you can expect from three star hotel.

The price was not the only reason I booked this hotel. It also had car parking available. However, I was not aware that this would add an extra £7.50 per night to the cost of the room. Also, two nights running the fire alarm went off at 01:30 in the morning for a couple of minutes then stopped. No reason given, I had to ask what had happened and was […] told "it was a coincidence" that different guests struck up cigarettes at the same time of the night. Also, one morning I had two separate staff members knocking on my door in the space of two minutes obviously looking for someone else and then not even saying sorry when they realised their mistake, but went to the person in the next room. How could both get their facts wrong. pprices for food are extortionate. No I'll not stay here again. Mehr

Parking is a pain, Hotel has charged me extra £7.00 for the parking, but other then that everything else is superb.
