Alles war sehr gut, außer dass die Bettbwäsche stark parfümiert waren, was für mich als Allergiker ziemlich unangenehm war. Wie wir alle wissen, nehmen Allergien zu. Deshalb, am besten neutrales Waschmittel benutzen (wie die meisten großen Hotelketten).

Das Hotel ist zwar nicht mehr auf dem neuesten Stand, insbesondere die verwinkelten, manchmal auch relativ dunklen Zimmer - aber sehr sauber. Einmalig ist die Lage direkt am Meer mit sehr stylischer Lounge und schöner Terrasse, wo auch das Abendessen serviert werden kann. Das Früh- stück war sehr gut (frisch gepreßter Orangensaft). Für den, der die einmalige Lage des Hotels schätzt - dafür aber Abstriche bei den Zimmern in Kauf nimmt - ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

Best Western Le Grand Hotel liegt in Flughafennähe in Bayonne in der Nähe der folgenden Sehenswürdigkeiten: Chateau de Bayonne, Rathaus von Bayonne und Musee Basque. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Musee Bonnat und Bayonne Cathedral.

"War definitiv kein 4-Sterne Hotel!"
Das Hotel befindet sich in einem renovierungsbeduerftigen Zustand. Es gab keine Klimaanlage, ausser einem Swimming-Pool auf dem Dach kann man auch wirklich nicht von Wellness sprechen. Leider waren sogar die Betten sehr unbequem, und einen guten Kaffee/Cappuccino gab es auch nicht....

Good, basic hotel. Very comfortable beds, rooming bathrooms and excellent location in town. Hotel needs some updating but clean and very nice service. Only negative was that wireless did not work with my iPad or iPhone. System needs to be updated.

"Great Stay"
I had originally looked for a place to stay in Biarritz but found nothing that wasn't outlandishly priced. I stumbled into Le Grand on line and was so happy to have found it. The hotel is not glitzy but the rooms were incredibly comfortable , the bathrooms very up to date, the beds were big and so comfortable. The location was perfect. We were within […] walking distance of some great restaurants along the river, the cathedral, and some wonderful shopping - lots of patisseries, boulangeries. We had planned for a few beach days and It was not hard to reach the Anglet beach by car - maybe 10 or 15 minutes,,,,,,? We were actually so pleased that we had not ended up in Biarritz after all. "Le Grand Hotel in Bayonne, France"
This very old hotel( creaky, uneven floors, old, gated-door elevator) was right in the middle of old Bayonne; a quick walk to MANY great restaurants and shops. Lots of character, although one front desk clerk was prickly. She would not let us keep card to garage(you need it to enter the building), so, after paying 13 euro to park there on first day, […] we moved car to public lot around the corner from hotel. Much closer and 24hour access to car(and no need to circle around in car to return parking card). Used hotel as base for a day trip to Spain. Great location. The rooms are very spacious with a large bed, couch, writing table and bureaus. Just a beautiful old hotel. The staff was welcoming and accomodating. if you aren't traveling with a computer, there is one near the lobby that you can use. otherwise, they have free wireless as well. We were right in the center of the town and near the river.

Hotel was very well placed as right in the centre of town. Superb large room. Very pleasant helpful reception staff. Parking 200 meters away ...not ideal... but drop off available outside hotel. However pleased with our choice.

The main problem with this hotel is the location of the parking, 3 blocks from the hotel itself, and with a very complex entry/exit system. Otherwise a good central location near restaurants. The breakfast buffet was also good, apart from the system for boiling eggs which took ages and overcooked the eggs.

We fell in love with this city. People and food excellent. However the floor of the bathroom sloped badly making us feel that we were at sea! Added to this a slippery floor resulted in my husband taking a tumble.

This is a very nice hotel. We reserved three non-refundable rooms for one night. However, the guests of one of the rooms could not make it due to a severe illness of a family member. The people from the hotel allowed us to cancel that room reservation and they refunded us all the money. That was very nice. Le Grand Hotel was well-located, within easy walking distance to the Cathedral, Tourist Office, river, restaurants and other attractions. We had the largest room on the floor, #401, on the corner of the building, facing Rue Thiers. Street noise was a bit loud with the window open at night, but quiet when closed. The room had twin double beds. Very comfortable. […] The bathroom was satisfactory. Parking was in a separate building, on the fifth floor, with a very tight spiral ramp. We liked the hotel very much. Great location at the centre of the old city of Bayonne. Very quiet environmnet but still in the centre of town. The service of the staff was excellent.

Lovely place. A great value for the money. We were upgraded to a very roomy top floor room with french windows that opened to a nice view of the city. A great location for shopping and dining and a short drive to the beaches of Biarritz. We were very pleased.

Pas de double vitrage (pour un hotel situé au centre ville), sol de la chambre en pente !! salle de bain décorée années 50, et isolation intérieure inexistante : beaucoup de bruit à l'étage...Très déçu. レセプションは英語が通じ、親切でした。部屋は狭くトイレとシャワーが離れていましたが、概ね快適です。駐車場がちょっとホテルから離れていて、入口がとても狭い立体駐車場だったので車を出し入れするのに緊張しましたが、駐車場への行き方もレセプションで丁寧に教えてくれました。町の中心地にあるのでどこに行くのもとても便利で良かったです。

フロントはとても親切でした。 おいしいレストランを教えてもらいました。 市内観光も徒歩にて便利な場所にありました。 ビアリッツの飛行場からタクシーでも高くない料金で到着できます。 Office de Tourismも近くにあります。 スタッフの笑顔の応対が印象的でした。

Je ne conseille à personne de se rendre dans cet établissement, en toute honnêté cet hôtel n'a aucune prestation et n'est pas digne du groupe Accord chambres trop petites, confort =0 , décoration =0 état général vétuste pour le coût des chambres. A EVITER

Réceptionniste accueillante et hôtel extrêmement bien situé: au coeur du centre historique, à 2 pas des animationss tout en étant dans une rue commerçante (mais hors restauration et bars à foison ce qui préserve donc des festivités parfois bruyantes de cette ville dynamique). Chambre confort propre et suffisamment spacieuse avec un grand rangement. Un […] petit bémol sur l'insonorisation et le lino 1er prix mal posé un peu bas de gamme qui étonne dans la salle de bain et les toilettes (surement du au parquet irrégulier en dessous); la salle de bain manque également de quoi poser ses vêtements mais une chaise peut faire l'affaire :) Un bon rapport qualité/prix/situation! "Grand Hotel Bayonne: l'ascenseur maudit"
Le grand hotel est parfait... sauf (il y a toujours un sauf) que son vieil ascenseur fait du bruit (en tout cas depuis les chambre du 4ème étage. Pour ceux qui ont le sommeil léger, le bruit peut etre incommodant à partir de 6h30... Sinon parfait
j'ai attendu 10 minutes devant le comptoir à mon arrivée sans que l'on s'occupe de moi, et lorsqu'enfin on s'est interressé à ma personne et à ma valise, en guise de bienvenue, j'ai eu droit à un "c'est pour quoi?", comme si le fait d'arriver dans un hotel avec une valise pouvait porter à interrogation?!? le petit déjeuner n'était pas complet, il a […] fallu s'y prendre à deux reprises pour y ajouter pain, beurre, viennoiseries, après le 1er service en chambre. pour un 3 étoiles, il faudrait que la qualité du service et l'amabilité du personnel s'améliore considérablement. je ne recommanderai pas cet hotel Mehr

Chambre mal insonorisée, hôtel vieillissant, nous avons demandé à changer de chambre à cause des clients bruyants au dessus de notre chambre ( ce qui a été fait sans problème). Depuis que l'hotel a été acheté par Best Western il n'a plus du tout la même classe qu'avant. Par ailleurs le verrou de la chambre ne fonctionnait pas ce qui nous a valu des visites intempestives des femmes de ménage (qui se sont excusées) et la douche manquait de puissance.
