Das Hotel hat unseren Ansprüchen als Zwischenziel genügt. Man sollte jedoch nicht zu anspruchsvoll sein. Ich denke das Hotel wird überwiegend von Arbeitern im nahen Flugzeugbau genutzt und ist daher eher rustikal eingerichtet. Es gibt zwar einen Pool, aber da Wasser hier in der Mojave Wüste sicherlich zu den eher raren Gütern gehört, wurde es sicherlich […] in den letzten Jahren nur mit ordentlich Chlor aufgepeppt. Der Service war dennoch sehr bemüht und nett. Wer also eine Unterkunft für die Durchreise sucht, ist hier richtig. Der Ort selber ist aus meiner Sicht nicht unbedingt sehenswert, es gibt zwar ein kleines Flugzeugmuseum, dieses haben wir aber nicht besucht. Sehr beeindruckt waren wir von dem in der Nähe gelegenen Windpark, soviele Windräder hatten wir auf jeden Fall noch nicht gesehen. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt am Rand der Dänischen Disneyland-Touristenattraktion und ist ganz in diesem Stil erbaut. Der Gästeparkplatz liegt direkt vor dem Zimmertrakt. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Solvang for a few days. It's in a great location and you can walk to anything you need. We stayed here for an anniversary trip and it was great because the grounds are very well kept and they had an outside fire place where we could sit and drink our wine each night. Everyone was friendly […] and our room was very nice, it looked like it had been recently remodeled. I did think that it was a little bit over priced for a weeknight stay and for the size of our room (it wasn't much bigger than the king sized bed). My wife and I celebrated our eleventh anniversary at The Wine Valley Inn. We chose this location because we needed a place that was pet friendly. Several couples had their pooches. The hotel, the staff and the city of Solvang were great. I would have rated this place higher if they could verify if the room carpets were clean. I suspect not because I […] know my little pup left a few mistakes and we did take care of them but what about those people who aren't? I imagine that the dark colored carpet were in fact disgusting and probably rarely ever cleaned. Now this is only my opinion. We walked around in our room with our shoes on most the time. Enjoyed it after having our room changed from the 3rd floor when we couldn't unlock the door. Shouldn't put older people on that floor when there is no elevator and we had to carry our own luggage up a flight of stairs. We were changed to the second floor and liked our room very much. Our stay was great with a few minor situations. One, the air conditioners could stand to be updated or serviced to work better. We stayed in 2 different rooms and the a/c was less than good. We loved it here because we had a very nice room. The other rooms weren't so nice but very clean. The other rooms were kinda dark and lacked warmth. Sandra was so accommodating and a super nice person. We would go back if we could get the same room.

they used very disgusting pillow. Pillow's zipper was very poor. it was not zipped completely due to that it cut my elbow. When i took a look what cut me it was the zipper and found mold inside it...I do NOT recommend this hotel. Please stay elsewhere.

I had booked online for a king size bed, the only sized they showed online. Once we got to the Inn the staff saw my party was three people he told me if I could wait about an hour he could give us a jr suite with a sofa sleeper. The room was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. The morning coffee and breakfast were outstanding! The front desk service was beyond expectations and allowed us to have a very enjoyable time playing cards with our friends. We and they had a wonderful time in Solvang.

Felt this hotel was overrated on the website. Not nearly as nice as the other hotel we also booked at the same time. There was a learning curve to the room, such as turn the heat way down at night so it didn't go on in the middle of the night and roar at us. The shower was very nice but had no place to put soap or shampoo. The toilet paper holder was […] barely hanging on. We were on the third floor, the elevator went to the second only. The exterior walks on the second floor were not in the best condition. Didn't feel that it deserved a 4.2 rating. Mehr

Stopped at this hotel for one night on the way up the coast. The rooms are rather sparse, with dated fixtures and amenities. I would rate the hotel/motel a solid 3 out of 5 stars. This hotel had a very attractive exterior but unfortunately the rooms were old and falling apart. Everything in the room made noise as if it was in need of repair; lights, refrigerator, air conditioner, etc. The decor was shabby and drab and in need of a make-over and the cleanliness was an issue. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

My Husband and I were very pleased with our room, parking was convenient and we had our own private patio where we relaxed with a bottle of wine. We only had one complaint about the whole stay and that was there were no hooks by the shower to hang our towels and bath robes. Other than that I highly recommend this Hotel and plan to return some day.

My husband and I had a great stay. We could walk to all the shops in Solvang and it was a short drive to many Santa Barbara area wineries. The staff was very friendly, but a word of advice-bring your own pillows-the hotel's were terrible.

you have to remember that this property is hundreds of years old and with that has a lot of character and mumble jumble rooms - goes with the territory. reception was compliant and pleasant - felt there may have been an opportunity to 'sell' the property a bit as it has much to offer. hot breakfast was good and location can't be beat. Our room was extremely comfortable and charming. The bathroom tile shower was very nice with good water pressure and in excellent condition. The grounds are beautiful with the creek, bridges and outdoor fire places and seating areas. The doors to the rooms allow considerable exterior sounds through, especially when the cleaning crew stands outside the […] door and carries on a conversation. Breakfast was included in our rate but after the first morning we decided it was best to plan to eat somewhere else for breakfast. The eggs were soupy and the hash browns were mashed potatoes. We have stayed here and were very pleased. This time however the room we got #36 was very run down, frayed carpet, moldy bathroom, hair in tub and sink, and very old toilet seat. Not good. Very nice people, and a great breakfast but a very nasty room.

The Wine Valley Inn is in a great location with beautiful gardens but as far as the inn itself, it is in dire need of maintenance. The termostat in the room could be adjusted, but didn't change anything; The TV was ancient and the remote didn't work; there were no robes in the room as mentioned in the description. The "wine and cheese" every afternoon […] was mentioned as we checked in but when we went to the lobby for a glass of wine, we talked to the server for about 10 minutes then were asked what kind of wine we wanted . After she poured it, and we started drinking it, she told us that the charge was $5.50 a glass. Not that the cost was a big deal but neither the front desk nor the server mentioned it, nor was there a sign next to the "tip jar"! Careless details like that in addition to the maintenance issues prevented it from being as nice as it could have been. Mehr
