Artdeco - Rom

Das nahe am Bahnhof Roma Termini in Nähe der deutschen und englischen Botschaft gelegene Hotel besticht durch das Interieur mit vielen Original Art-Deco Elementen. Die Sauberkeit unseres im 4.Stock gelegenen schönen Dreibettzimmers, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und das reichhaltige Frühstück haben uns sehr gefallen. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Zentral gelegen, recht freundliches Personal. Katastrophale sanitarische Verhältnisse, WC-Spülung geht nicht, Kloakengestank statt Lüftung etc...

Der Empfang war zweckmässig, doch Freundlichkeit durfte man nicht erwarten. Der Boden des Zimmers war voller Flecken und nicht wirklich sauber. In der Minibar waren alle Getränke warm, da der Kühlschrank nur funktionierte, wenn man im Zimmer war. Da wir einmal ausschlafen wollten, kamen wir erst kurz vor 10.30 zum Frühstück. Die Bedienung war so unfreundlich, […] dass wir froh waren, überhaupt noch Café zu bekommen. Da am Buffet kein Brot mehr vorhanden war, fragten wir nach. Die knappe Antwort war einfach, dass alles fertig sei. Keine Entschuldigung, keine Anstrengung für eine Lösung. Man liess uns einfach stehen. Dieses Hotel werden wir mit Sicherheit nie mehr berücksichtigen. Mehr

Sehr angenehmes Hotel in ansprechender Lage, preisgünstig, sauber und mit freundlichem Personal. Positiv überrascht waren wir von den kuscheligen Einzelzimmern - da haben wir schon anderes erlebt - Absolut empfehlenswert!

The hotel was very close to the train station, 15 - 20 minutes walk. However if you have much luggage I'd recommend a taxi. I paid 10 euros one day and 6 the next. So bargain with them! This was my 5th time in Rome and I chose to stay here because I was only overnighting before going on to Chianti. I had single room with a twin bed. Very clean and comfortable. […] My only complaint with the room was that the AC didn't work and it had been very hot in Rome that day so the room was stuffy when I arrived You can of course open up the windows but if you want a good night's sleep that first night it can be a bit difficult because Rome is not a quiet city! Still I'd stay there again. Staff was nice and helpful. Location was fine and there is a computer in the lobby for customer use. I don't travel with a computer so this was helpful for me. Mehr

The hotel staffs are friendly, helpful and can speak fluent English. The room is fine compare with other hotels in Roma near the Termini train station. But I should save the walls are really thin and we could hear what happened in the next door.

This hotel is runned by Best Western. A unique hotel. We enjoyed the artdeco details. The room was a bit small but very clean. We got a room with a jacuzzi bath! The cleaniness of the toilett was impressive! Good comfortable bed, a very simple breakfast, free wifi and good service. generaly good hotel near termini,good breakfast, rooms not big enough but at last o.k. with a little refrigirator, very warm, good bathroom, closet, radio, lcd tv set, two elevators but many corindors. Initial impressions of this hotel were, chronologically,how convenient it was to Termini Stazione, only 10 minutes walk with luggage, and at reception, what a beautiful job had been done on presenting a consistent Art Deco appearance. I arrived well before the appointed hour for the room to be free and Antonio,on reception was apologetic and suggested […] we had a coffee while he made a telephone call.A cup of caffe',biscotti and 15 minutes later , he informed us that our room was ready, the start of his very helpful and professional intervention throughout our stay. Our room was a sight to behold; the floor was wood strip in contrasting colours, the radio was wooden cased in true Art Deco style and the telephone was also in the authentic style with the walls rag-rolled to complete the effect; I felt compelled to take a photograph of such a complete and authentic example of the period. There is a fermata within two minutes for about 5 linea of the autobus with about 10 more within about 300 metres. With a biglietto giornalato costing only 4 euros this means access to the whole of Rome, with its very efficient public transport system, is very easy at a ridiculously low price; the ticket also covers the Metro. Breakfast at the hotel comprises all the usual continental options and scrambled eggs and bacon if you are one of the Inglesi who cannot be separated from home comforts, and I do not think I ever waited more than 2 minutes before a camariera asked me what I wanted to drink and then bringing good quality Italian caffe' If you are interested in as good an example as I have seen of Art Deco by someone who appears to have spared no expense stay at this hotel; if not, stay anyway for the experience of a first-class quattro stelle hotel with good attentive staff and quality surroundings- you may even be lucky enough to have an impromptu Italian lesson from Antonio as I did! This hotel had an old-world charm. In terms of location, it was walking distance (about 5 minutes) from the main train station. It had a restaurant with pretty good food and there was another restaurant within walking distance called Mama Angela's (or some similar name). The complimentary breakfast was also okay and actually had some good protein offerings, […] something that had been missing at the other breakfasts we'd had in the other European hotels. Mehr

The hotel was well located. The rooms were small compared to American hotels but very nice. My wife and I would like to come back to Rome and will most likely stay here again.

The Art Deco Best Western was clean and a decent size room. It was about a 10 minute walk from the Train Station. The neighborhood was decent and the breakfast was good as well, get there early as there is a lot of other guests will eat up all the hot foods.

Staff very professional and FRIENDLY! Stay was very pleasant.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable. 10 minutes walk from train station and less than 100 mtrs from metro.

Hotel Art Deco is close to the Castro Pretoria metro line B stop (1 stop from Termini) which makes it convenient. The Turkish embassy is closeby so there are some armed guards on the street, making it a safe neighborhood. There are a number of restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Our favourite was Mama Angela's. There is also a grocery […] store nearby as well some self-service laundry should you need it. It is not really walking distance to any of the major sights but the metro makes up for that. The room was very clean and appears to be newly renovated. As in most other Rome hotel rooms, the bathroom was very small - need to make sure you are aware of that prior to booking. Room was very comfortable and the airconditioning worked well. There was a minibar/ fridge where you can cool bottled water or soda. The water in Rome is safe to drink so there is no need to keep on buying bottled water. Breakfast is included and was okay. Mehr

The room is spacious so I felt very comfortable in this hotel when compared with many hotels in Rome. Plus, the breakfast is very good. hotel.But it is pretty far from the central station. It took me about 15-20 minutes to walk to the central station. Luckily, I had only one luggage and a backpack.

Situation very convenient for metro and near station without being too noisy. We enjoyed the hotel and its art deco appearance, to which a lot of attention had been paid. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was basically clean and kept nicely although the carpet and walls had some "historic" grubby patches. We would recommend […] this hotel. Had a good experience here. About a 10 minute walk from Termini station. Was able to walk to most major sites from here. When you want to take the metro a station is about 5 minute walk away. Area is fine. Close to embassies so guards on duty, no problems at all. Plus other hotels and restaurants are around so there is a constant flow of people. Breakfast […] buffet is fine, nothing too special. Staff very friendly and helpful. they have a computer at reception that guests can use. Mehr

Single room was small, but the room was quiet. It's a bit of a hike to the train station, especially to the train to the airport. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and the room spotlessly clean and well-maintained.

This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. I had stayed in 5-star hotels (using points) + a villa for my entire trip in Rome/Naples/Tuscany. Given the basic description of this hotel, I had expected that staying here on my last night of vacation would be a step down. It really wasn't! the room was very small. the first room that we were placed in, the refrigerator was leaking. they sent someone to fix it but it kept leaking. my husband finally insisted to be transferred to another room. the rooms were hot even with the air conditioner on.

Convenient location, friendly staff, great mattress! but the room was very small even for a single. however, I'm sure the other rooms were bigger. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to friends.

The hotel was pristine throughout, the desk staff were extremely helpful and the surroundings (decor) were delightful. Both metro lines were within easy walking distance giving you direct access to the beautiful sights of Rome

Non è un hotel 4*. E' OK per un paio di giorni, ma lontano dei servizi 4*.

l'hotel Art Deco si trova in una zona molto tranquilla e ben sorvegliata, abbastanza elegante e molto vicino alla stazione Termini, raggiungibile in 10 - 15 minuti di cammino. L'hotel è ben curato, la nostra camera era pulitissima e il letto comodo. La nostra camera, purtroppo, era piuttosto piccola e il bagno anch'esso piccolo. Nell'albergo ci sono […] camere molto più grandi e comode, come abbiamo potuto osservare in seguito. Un altro piccolo difetto è stata la colazione, non all'altezza dell'albergo. I cornetti della colazione abbastanza insignificanti, il cappuccino non all'altezza di un bar decente. Credo che dovrebbero curare maggiormente la qualità dei cappuccini, forse il latte era del tipo a lunga conservazione. Il personale dell'hotel, comunque, gentile e disponibile. Mehr

keurig hotel en het ligt dichtbij het termini station, kamers worden zeer goed schoon gemaakt. het ontbijt is zeer royaal,kamers zijn wat aan de kleine kant maar gezien de gunstige prijs super.

Vi bodde på Artdeco tre netter tidlig i desember og var jevnt over fornøyde med oppholdet. Rommene var ganske små, men med god standard og rengjøring. Det var dobbeltseng, minibar og en fungerende safe på rommet. Vi bodde i fjerde etasje med vindu mot en sidegate, og luftet om natten uten at det var plagsom støy. Det var problemer med toalettet og […] hårføneren på rommet vårt, men dette ble raskt fikset med forsikrelse om at vi også kunne få bytte rom hvis vi ønsket. Det var ikke nødvendig. Andre har nevnt at frokosten går tom mot slutten av serveringen (10:30), men vi spiste i 10-tiden uten at dette så ut til å være noe problem. Varmmaten var egg og bacon, og ellers gikk det i loff, croissanter, kaker (!), knekkebrød og pålegg. Yoghurten var heller ikke verst, og kaffen var selvfølgelig helt strålende. Hotellet ligger i et rolig område omgitt av bevoktede ambassader og en og annen restaurant. Innen 10 minutters gangavstand ligger togterminalen, hvor vi ble anbefalt ikke å oppholde oss over tid. Det var et noe nedslitt område som minnet om Grønland i Oslo i atmosfære, men uten å virke truende. 10 minutters gange i nordlig retning ligger Villa Borghese, og både museet og parken her er virkelig verdt et besøk. Her hadde vi en romantisk spasertur om kvelden og følte oss også der helt trygge, med unge par som kliner på benkene og barnefamilier som rusler hjemover i mørket. Vi hadde en guide med bil for hovedtyngden av sightseeingen, men gikk også frem og tilbake fra hotellet til Forum og til Via del Corso (handlegate), og trivdes godt med det. Hver av disse turene tok rundt en halvtime, og det er lett å finne frem. Alt i alt var hotellet bra på de fleste områder, men neste gang vil vi nok forsøke å skaffe et hotell noe nærmere det historiske sentrum og Vatikanet. Vi må vel da også regne med å betale deretter. PS. Roma i desember var veldig bra, med temperaturer fra 15-20 på dagtid, sightseeing uten lange køer, og artig juleshopping! Mehr

Hotel con personal muy amable, bufé escaso, pero bueno. Cerca de la estación de Termini y con buenos restaurantes alrededor, con precios bastante asequibles.

As fotos do site do hotel sao melhores do que é a realidade, mas o café é muito bom, boa localizaçao e bom atendimento. Casal de Vinhedo - SP

Goed hotel als je er in de buurt moet zijn. Voor een toeristisch verblijf zou ik iets meer in het centrum gaan zoeken.

Fint, rent och fräscht! Härligt badrum och badkar med sån där massagefunktion. Något trist omgivning men nära till tunnelbana. Mina ända invändning är egentligen att frukostbuffén var otroligt tråkig (som man kan vänta sig i Italien). Till bröd fanns endast torra vita frallor och diverse fikabröd, tex croissants, pain au chocolat, kakor osv. Det fanns […] scrambled eggs, vilket var bra, men tyvärr smakade det ganska så äckligt faktiskt. Juicen var som läsk utan kolsyra. Gott kaffe var det däremot. Mehr

Environnement très calme, hôtel propre et bien tenu, personnel très chaleureux et disponible, faisant toujours l'effort de nous parler en français. Excellent lit.

Hotellet var mycket bra. Inredningen och och utsmyckningen var mycket tilltalande i såväl rummet som foajén och sällskapsrummet. Servicen var trevlig. Hotellets läge är bra då det ligger nära järnvägsstationen Termini och till tunnelbana. Det enda negativa var frukostbrödet var lite torrt.

OK hotel and room. Neigbourghood a bit bouring, but quiet. 3 stars would be more appropiate rate for this hotel. Parking almost impossible, except for a garage, which closes at 10 am, which prevent you from spending time in the city at the day of travel

Metro lines (Termini station) are within walking distance. Various facilities (Open city tours, Archeo tours, airport shuttle, trains etc) is availablein Termini. The desk staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant is closed on August and even till the September 5th!

Mio marito ed io abbiamo alloggiato tre giorni in questo albergo e ci siamo trovati al meglio :delizioso l'arredamento Liberty ,confortevole la camera, tranquillissima la zona, comda la vicinanza alla metropolitana, alla stazione Termini, a molti luoghi di interesse.Sicuramente torneremo in questo albergo.
