Hilton London Stansted Airport - Stansted

Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was man an den Gängen und den Badezimmern merkt. Ansonsten aber sauber. Essen sehr gut, Frühstücksbuffet mit allem, was man sich wünscht. Hotel liegt unmittelbar neben der Start- und Landebahn, die Flieger gehen im 3-Minuten-Rhythmus raus. Abends so gegen 22.00 Uhr ist allerdings Schluss. Dafür ist man aber […] mit dem Hotel-Shuttle-Bus in 10 min. am Flughafen, was, wie bei uns, bei einem Abflug um 8.00 Uhr morgens schon angenehm ist. Mehr

negativ: Das Familienzimmer war genau so groß wie ein Doppel;nur mit Zustellbett.(also eher klein) Die Handtücher im Bad waren fadenscheinig, und teilweise dreckig!!! Der Teppich wirkt sehr unapetitlich. Das gesammte Mobiliar entsprach vielleicht vor 25 Jahren mal einem gutem Hotelstandard-heute garantiert nicht. Im Kleiderschrank hat es sehr muffig-mottig […] gestunken. Es gab weder Safe noch Minibar. positiv: Das Früstück war recht reichhaltig. Der Fitnessraum gut ausgestattet, Pool und Sauna sahen auch noch recht gut aus.Die Umkleiden und Duschräume müssten allerdings drind mal renoviert werden! Mehr

ein klares Flughafenhotel kleine einfache Zimmer aber schnelles Ein / Aus-cheken Restaurant bis 23:00 Uhr geöffnet OK

Zum Hotel kommt man nur nach einer ewig langen und kostenpflichtigen (!) Shuttle-Busfahrt. Es liegt in einer öden Parkplatzwüste. Es gibt nicht mal kostenfreien Internet-Anschluss!

Prakitsches Flughafenhotel mit Schimmhalle und pünklichen shuttleservice

Weit weg vom Flughafen, ohne Bus wohl nicht zu erreichen (2GBP pro Fahrt und Person). Sonst war es super da. Für den regulären Preis wär es mir zu wahrscheinlich zu teuer, wobei das Frühstück (inklusive) traumhaft war und das Personal auch sehr freundlich war. Wenn man aber ein schönes Hotel haben will und das Geld hat, würde ich dieses empfehlen.

Very disappointed. The shuttle comes once every 30 minutes, so picture yourself standing in the cold wind, no taxis available unless you've pre-booked. 3 miles from the airport, so no way to walk. once you're there, you are stranded. Crummy seeming hotel, not like you would expect a Hilton to be, as they are at larger airports. Cheap airport, cheap […] hotel. Mehr

location ideal for airport and parking arranged via office in hotel so no need to bother with car before catching bus to airport.

Attracted by the very competitive rate soon found that extras eroded that advantage. Restaurant food way below 4star but breakfast definitely 5star. So if possible, dine out, breakfast in! Shower head needed repairing as it was worn and loose.

We stayed in hilton hotel stansted for 3 days and 2 nights and i must say that we din enjoy our stay as much we did in other hotels like marriot! we felt that even Ibis was a better one.For one reason that we arrived a little early at the hotel and we were made to wait for nearly 3 hours to get a room and when we finally managed to get one the room […] was not great. I was not sure if the toilets were cleaned for us cos the toilet papers were not refilled and even stuff like bath gel were missing but were there the next day they cleaned our room!!. Also most of the hotels provide their bus facilities free of charge while hilton charges 2 pounds to the airport every time!. All in all i would never recommend this hotel to anyone i know and would not go there myself. Mehr

Nice room, comfy beds. However, there wasn't enough toilet paper, the remote for the TV didn't work properly, there was a strong smell of tobacco smoke from somewhere, and the bath mat was dripping what I desperately hope was just water from the previous inhabitant on my head while I took a bath. Those are details that really should be fixed in any […] hotel and especially in a Hilton. The shuttle bus to Stansted Airport worked well, though. Mehr

We chose this hotel to stay in overnight when we arrived in London before heading to the city because of its convenient proximity to the airport. We were disappointed by the 2eur shuttle fee--in our opinion, the short distance between the airport-designated hotel and the airport should render this a complimentary service. Very good hotel

1) They take disposition although they charged Your credit card and got paid. 2) Nobody even bother helping You with your lodge 3) The Hotel very noisy even though we asked specificly for a quite room. Air plane sound all night 4) No parking lot if you are not a "Honour Member" I looked for 30 min for a lot. Total dark parking lot. 5) The parking boom […] was brokes so we almost got late to our appointments 6) Awfull smells in the hall 7) Bad Wifi still not for free! 8) When we asked about the break fast they said with a bad enlish its included and we will charge Your credit card!!!!! What does that mean? 9) The room are so narrow we could barely pass thru when a waredrob door was halfopen. And none of ous are oversized or so.. 10) The elevator was so d...m slow. 11) No business cards in the reception... in case You want to give Your adress to somebody or a cab.. 12) I could go on but I think You get the point... Excellent value for money. Superb food. Leisure facilities ideal. One thing to double check on departing the hotel make sure they have not charged you twice. We paid through Hotel.com and then they wanted to charge us again. Otherwise I would recommend the Hilton Stansted.

Convenient location, has a gym, clean and comfortable. They charge 3.95 for a bottle of watter in the room which is not even cold. There is no fridge in the room. The water taps in the sink don't mix the water correctly and you either scald yourself or freeze. No toothpaste in the toiletries provided, but you can buy it at the machine at reception. Good value for rate I got, but not as good as previous stays. Got allocated a disabaled room and staff unwilling to move me. Hotel also cold which is most unusual for a hotel. Not up to Hilton standards, more of a premier lodge/motel feel. Good gym & warm pool though. Changing rooms and lockers/showers etc etc all in need of a major make over. Have […] been the same over the 12 years I've been here and really deteriorating now. Come on Hilton - pull your socks up and keep up to usual Hilton standards. This hotel is letting your brand down. we stayed here because it was close to the airport Stanstedt. Positive: beds are very comfortable, room is clean, there is a cofffe and tea pot. It is just 10 minutes from the Stansted airport and the hotell has own shuttel buss which costs only 2 pounds. YOu pay that to the driver. I didn´t wanted to wait on the way to the hotel so we took taxi. Shuttle […] I used on the way to the airport and it was going very well. Negative: breakfast is not included. No other restaurants around. I haven´t use their pool and haven´t had any breakfast cause of our early departure so I can not comment it. I really liked this hotel and can reccomend it if you have to get up very early to catch your flight or if you arrive late and don´t want to travell to London in the night. Mehr

If you're staying at a hotel at Stansted, you probably aren't looking for anything much but a bed, internet, and food. The hotel provides comfortable beds, and actually pretty good food at prices that aren't outrageous. The internet front is not as good - they charge per day, and reasonably substantially. The internet was also offline the morning of […] my departure - the upside of which was a quick and no hassle removal of the charge from the bill. The shuttle only goes every half hour, and the airport departure location is very hard to find. After finding it, I skipped the wait and took a taxi. Mehr

I really had high expectations, but afraid Hotel did not meet them. Not very good meal in Restaurant, and the prices were exorbitant!! Singuarly unimpressed.

There is no wireless that's free! You only get a half hour in the LOBBY and that doesn't even work properly. Breakfast isn't that great Hotel is a bit small Jacuzzi was nice

The staff were excellent, as was the English Breakfast. Parking charge was a bit high if you are resident, should be free. WiFi also expensive.

The hotel is not that near the airport. You have to take the hilton shuttle, which they charge you both ways. The wifi only works in the lobby, and they charge for it as well. On top of this, the service level is long from satisfying (although I had low expectations). I come to stansted often but I will never chose this hotel again.

Great hotel if flying in/out of Stanstead for quick stay. However, was not aware that bus to/from hotel costs £2 - not much I know, but I didn't have £2 as all money in Euros so bit of a pain! very comfortable room.

This was a very poor quality Hilton Hotel. The pool was very dated, as were the terrible changing rooms we had to endure. The rooms themselves were actually very clean and tidy and relatively well equipped, however for a 4 Star hotel and at this price, I expected a little more. There was no Mini-Bar and the pillows were just terrible. The breakfast […] was however very nice and the breakfast area/ bar were also very nice, however the bar prices were unbelievable - This along with the overpriced stay itself means that I will not be returning. Maybe little more than a Travelodge as I have stayed in better 3 Star hotels than this. Disappointing in all. Mehr

Comfortable beds, room clean and nice, staff really helpful, breakfast quite good (black pudding omg).

PERFECT FOR LONDON SHORT VISIT...

Perfect stay for early flight Friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean and really nice. Breakfast was great. No complaints

Close to airport, very convenient! Clean room, great breakfast, and service very friendly.

My friend and I stayed at the Hilton Airport Hotel in Stansted for only one night, so my impressions may differ from other experiences. But the room we slept in was really small and not a hundred percent comfortable. The lock on the bathroom door was damaged and there was no wardrobe. The beds however were perfectly fine and the breakfast was a blast! […] Impressed me a lot. I also want to mention the shuttle service which is a nice offer. Since it's an airport hotel one probably won't stay there for more days - in this case the hotel is okay. But to be honest, I would have expected more from Hilton - especially for the rates they have. Mehr

This hotel was perfect for my overnight stay. The reception staff were very friendly, the room was nice and had all that one requires, the bed was extremely comfortable. However, the highlight without doubt was, in my case, the included breakfast, absolutely superb! In hindsight, instead of hiring the rental car at the airport and driving to the hotel […] I should have taken the hotel shuttle from the airport and picked the car up the next morning. Apart from not having to find my own way to the hotel it would have been more convenient and cheaper as overnight parking fees apply at the hotel. Mehr

Very nice hotel with midern amenities. Rooms are a decent size and bed was very comfortable. The a la carte menu in the restaurant was a bit limited as there was a themed menu on for the evening, however, the food was fresh and tasty albeit a bit pricey.
