GUESTHOUSE INN AND SUITES - Knoxville

It was filthy and the bathroom sink was almost stopped up.

This hotel is just a basic place to lay your head. Simple amenities, no luxuries. But a great value for no frills. And it is close to the Turkey Creek restaurants and shops.

While the staff was polite and friendly, the hotel had obviously a lack of attention to room details. 2 light bulbs were not in the lamps. (Removed and not replaced). The TV remote was partially broken. Would not change channels. Carpet was clean but badly stained as was the sink. Plumbing was in good shape as was the bed. I was only staying for 1 day. I would normally say all I need is a clean place to sleep and take a shower. I now need to add to my criteria "a key to the door that works". I was given 6 different key cards, none of which worked. I had to have the cleaning staff let me in the room (their key worked and they were VERY nice). The woman at the front desk […] didn't seem to have a clue. Because of all the commotion about the keys we missed our shuttle. The place looks relatively new and is pretty clean but does not appear to be well maintained. I don't expect it to be very nice in the next year or two. Mehr

This hotel was in a convenient location but it is an old building with old fixtures and appearance. The bed was not very comfortable but everything worked in the room. The check in staff was behind a plate glass so we had to talk thru vents I guess because it was late. No a good first impression.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Good beds. Air conditioner masked noise from highway. Nice, hot breakfast. Close to Cotton Eyed Joe's. Easy access from highway. We will return again.

The staff was very helpful and were prompt in providing my wake-up calls. The breakfast was nice; however, if you want biscuits and gravy, be there for the first hour. The hotel does not keep refilling these. Be advised that the "suites" are called that because they have a sofa that makes a bed. There is still only one room that is slightly larger […] than a regular room. The bathrooms are in great need of updating. The faux marble sinks have cracks as do the bathroom floors. The corners of the bathroom and the floor of the tub/shower need cleaning and bleaching. There were NO bedbugs (I checked). I would say that the blankets that have holes should be discarded after laundering. There is a lot of highway noise, because it is located beside the freeway; however, I was so tired that I fell asleep with no problem. I was staying in this hotel because I had a relative in the hospital nearby. For something like I was doing that does not require staying in the hotel very much, it is fine. Mehr

Was located close to my daughter's home, church, interstate. Difficult to locate entrance and exit since located on dead-end side street. Needed additional signage to enter. Room was very clean and everything in good and working condition.
