Dieses Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Man kann zu Fuß ziemlich viele interessante Orte erreichen z.B. Port Vell, Las Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya, Mercat de la Boqueria, der Strand, ect. Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig aber komfortabel!

Das Hotel del Mar besticht durch eine Top-Lage. Die Ausstattung entspricht den angegebenen 3 Sternen. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei der Zimmerauswahl sollte man angeben, dass man ein Zimmer mit Balkon möchte. Sonst bekommt man ein Zimmer mit kleinem Fenster in zu einem Lüftungsschacht! Das Hotel liegt in toller Lage nähe des Hafens. Hotel nicht besonders sauber und leider Personal mit minimum an Freundlichkeit so kann ich das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen

Das Hotel liegt in zentraler Lage, das heisst: -das Meer, Strand, Altstadt, Verkehrsverbindungen in direkter Nähe, troztdem ruhige Nacht -mit dem Frühstück war alles in Ordnung, manchmal waren einige Sorten ausgegangen und auf Nachschub paar Minuten warten mussten./ kan man überleben/. Zimmer ,Bad waren sauber und für 3 Stern niveu gut ausgestattet.Einzige […] und große minus: im SAT Fernsehen gibt es keinen deutschsprachigen Sender!!!!!! The location is excellent for the price; next to the Barceloneta metro station and a 5 minute walk to the start of Las Ramblas. But they provided two twin beds even though we wanted a Queen bed. Old hotel with small rooms, but no complaints because of the price and location.

I had a not so pleasant experience with this hotel, but I will try to be honest about my review. you can see what made me unhappy at the end of the review. firstly, the hotel is decent enough to warranty a stay. it is clean, in a nice location and the staff was friendly (after I checked in). for its price, I would recommend this hotel. but they charge […] for WIFI. come on guys, this is 2012. wifi is free everywhere for customers. it is very easy to add controls to prevent customers from abusing the free wifi, but basic access should really be free in this age. travelers need connectivity. secondly, my experience at checkin, what made me mad. i made this reservation on the go, while traveling, using hotels.com iphone app. since I was on the move, I had no access to a printer. when I attempted to checkin to the hotel, they insisted on a printout, even when they had a reservation. They did not accept a confirmation on my iphone. They did not even let me access their wifi so that I could forward them the reservation on email. They actually made me pay to use their computer to get the reservation and then the printer did not work. so after paying nearly 3 euros, i still was not in a position to get them what they wanted. I had to pay more to get online again and forward them the email with the reservation confirmation. 1. if they had let me use the wifi in the first place, it would been much easier for me, and cheaper because the wifi was 2 euros for an hour, while the computer access was 2.5 euros for 10 minutes. 2. if they had accepted the iphone confirmation or told me before that i could forward them the confirmation mail, without me struggling to get a printout, it would have save me a lot of trouble. Close to the beach and nice nabourhood. A great hotel at a low price, for the traveller that spends most of his time out in the city, and I will probably stay here again next time i visit Barcelona. Besides from the breakfast, everything was good!

Can definitely recommend it!

the room was nice, big, nice bed, a small French balcony. nice bathroom with bathtub. the bathtub didn't work that well though. had to fill it up with the shower handle and the stop leaked. the worst thing with this hotel was that it didn't have free wifi. you had to pay a high fee to use it for 24 hours straight on a certain floor. the staff was quite […] nice. the location was nice. you could walk to a metro and the neighbourhood was nice. Great location but overall a sadly neglected hotel.

Very convenient location near the Old City and Waterfront areas. Rooms recently repainted and quite comfortable except for the plumbing. There was a a dreadful smell from the floor drain, the shower stuck, the bathplug didn't - so the bath drained away, and a couple of times there was no hot water. We were offered and took another room which was OK […] but another couple of people in our party also mentioned smelly drains. Some rooms are also noisy from a generator which cuts in and out all the time. TV reception was poor and there was only an American money channel in English. The breakfast buffet was good. The fire alarm went off at night and, when I went down, the receptionist said it was 'all right' -- no apology - it wasn't! Mehr

The stay at the hotel was excellent, the staff helps each Request. The hotel staff was among the few in town who knew English and could be worthy to communicate with. Excellent room only missing a small refrigerator. Every day they make sure to clean the room and provide fresh towels. Would certainly recommend this hotel. The location was good right by the Port but not too near to the Ramblas, which is busy 24 hours a day. Found some great restaurants by the port and while wandering down the side streets found some really quaint bars with great tapas. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel Del Mar in barcelona was a great find. It is convieniently located for exploring Barcelona. The hotel was spotlessly clean, stylish and just what you need on a city break. We used it for an overnight stay before going on a cruise. The Taxi was about 15 euros to the port. The two faults with this hotel are there are no tea and coffee making […] facilities and the drinks dispenser cost 1 euro for hot drinks. (Half a plastic cup). The main disappointment were the reception and portering staff. There was no warm welcome and we were kept waiting for a substantial period of time whilst staff finished their conversation and answered telephone calls. We were able to leave luggage in the hotel before departing for the cruise. However, when we arrived at the boat we found a pair of binoculars missing (We may have lost them en route and it may have been stolen in Barcelona). However, the hotel staff were most unhelpful when we enquired whether it had been left at the hotel. Mehr

We stayed at this location based on its close proximity to the beach area and to the cruise ship we were going to board in a few days. It is close to the Barcelonetta Metro station and to the Port Vell area with it's beach promanade, shops, restaurants, and to the Catalan Museaum, as well. The staff is NOT over friendly, and in fact, rarely even made […] eye contact when you came in, but we didn't rely upon them, too much for information and such. The rooms are small, as per most European rooms, but had what you needed, the beds nice and firm and had a lovely window//juliet balacony that opened onto the sometimes noisy (of course, you're in a big city) street. Our favorite feature was the close location of a champagne bar, in the small street to the right of the hotel, which, while not for the faint-hearted, would endear itself to someone who wants a real (albeit a little gritty) local watering hole! (There's no name on the place ("Pan...something?), but it's the only one on that tiny street). Barcelona is a great place; it would take effort to have a bad time there!! Mehr

When booking this holiday we were on a low budget so were looking for a low cost hotel. So when we turned up to the hotel our expectations were low but they were greatly exceeded. The location of this hotel is just supurb, a pleasant 15 mins walk to placa d'espanya. The room was very clean and very comfortable with a good bathroom. This is located on a little back street near Barceloneta. The hotel is nothing to shout about, but it's fine and is in an easy location. Our room had a little terrace which was a nice place to sit down at night.

Young 60 year olds from Australia. Perfect locaion, staff polite and helpful. Breakfast plentiful and good variety. Rooms basic but clean. Only complaint would have liked tea and coffee facilities in room. Yes would return and would recommend to others.

Older style hotel but comfy bed and quiet, Handy for the French railway station and lots of good eating places nearby. We ate breakfast out so don't know how theirs compares, handy for the pick up point of the hop on and off tourist bus. Good metro service.

Good location near port, Imax, bus,metro.and Acquarium Bathroom had sewer smell... had to keep door closed all the time. were not helpful with future resurvations or cabs.

Hotel Del Mar was excellent for our night in Barcelona before boarding cruise ship. It was within walking distance to the marina and ocean; several restaurants; La Rambla and Barri Gotic. We had a problem getting the a/c to work and finally figured out that it would not come on with the window open (we think). We were so tired from the long flight over […] that it didn't really matter. Also, we realized after we boarded cruise ship that we had left one shoe at the hotel. When we returned to Barcelona a week later we went by the hotel and after giving our room number and a description of the shoe to the desk clerk, housekeeping brought the shoe to us. Mehr

Fab location near beaches and mariner. Great eating places. Just lovely.

Vi hade ett ganska litet dubbelrum med fönster/balkong ut mot gatan. Vi stördes inte mycket av trafiken alls, utan sov som stockar på nätterna (bra kuddar och visserligen lite hårda sängar, men inget som störde sömnen!). Bra mörkläggningsgardiner också! Rummet städades dagligen och det fanns TV på rummet. Vi åt inte frukost på hotellet en enda gång […] (kostade 14 euro/person, och det är mycket trevligare att sitta på något café i närheten (kostar kanske 1/3 av priset). Läget är perfekt, vi gick mycket hela helgen, men det ligger ju mitt emellan La Rambla och stranden, så vi hade nära till allt! Metrostationen Barceloneta fanns endast någon minut bort. Finns många bra kartor vid receptionen också. Rekommenderar hotellet! Mehr

Hotellet ligger väldigt nära många sevärdheter som t.ex. Santa Maria kyrkan, Katedralen, Picasso, Gaudi och Salvador Dali museet, La Rambla och de många torg och som binder samman staden. Vi upplevde en god och vänlig service av hotellpersonalen under vår vecka i Barcelona.

En hel del trafikljud mot gatan. Inget som jag störs av, men kanske andra. Försök boka rum mot ljusgården så fall. Jag ville skriva ut mitt boardingcard till hemflyget, men deras skrivare vig kunddatorn har tydligen varit trasig en längre tid, jag påpekade med glimten i ögat att en skrivare kostar från 20 euro och fick en klassisk spansk axelryckning […] till svar, fick hur som helst hjälp att skriva ut det genom att e-posta till portiern så skrev han ut det på deras kontorsskrivare. Hotellet ser ut att vara moderniserat till OS och sedan dess är nog inte mycket gjort. Mehr

A 2 pas du métro (ligne directe, il faut juste changer de rame, depuis l'aéroport), entre le bord de mer et le barri Gotic , les Ramblas .... l'hotel est idéalement situé pour découvrir la ville, les chambres sont impeccables, grande salle de bain et quartier calme. Si j'ai l'occasion de séjourner à nouveau à barcelone, je retournerai dans cet établissement, […] et le conseille vivement. Mehr

Magnifico hotel, en relación calidad-precio. Perfectamente situado, cerca de TODO. Impresionante la habitación 405, con terraza privada

Sólo hicimos uso de la habitación porque teníamos que ir al Hospital del Mar, no vimos resto instalaciones. La habitación muy amplia y muy limpia, fenomenal;resto del hotel no puedo comentar. Las consultas que hicimos al recepcionista, como:desde donde coger el autobus al aeropuerto,...muy buena atención.

Perfekt läge mitt emellan staden och stranden. Ett mycket prisvärt hotell som gav en känsla av att det hade kunnat kosta mer. Vi prövade aldrig frukosten på hotellet utan åt på de många fiken som låg i närheten. Dåligt att det inte fanns wifi på hotellet.

Hotel op loopafstand van diverse bezienswaardigheden en het strand. Ook de metro en touristenbus om de hoek. Leuke haven dichtbij met gezellige restaurantjes. Nette, schone kamers. Alleen jammer dat we geen bad hadden, stond wel in de omschrijving. Daarentegen hadden we een mooi groot dakterras met uitzicht op de haven. Lekker ontbijtbuffet. Hyggelig betjening og god service i resepsjonen :)

God valuta for pengene. Små, men komfortable rom, hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening, og viktigst av alt, super beliggenhet mellom stranda og severdigheter som La catedral.

Hotellet är nära till stranden och till gamla stan, rent och angenämt. Det är inte helt tyst, från rummen till innergård hör man fläkten av air-conditioning. Rum med dubbelsäng ligger till innergård, som är därför inte så ljusa. Frukostbuffet är relativt dyrt (vi åt inte där), men det finns tillräkligt med fina kaféer och barer i närheten för billigare […] (och originellare) frukost. Mehr

Idéalement situé, pour partir découvrir la ville. Un bon Hôtel 3 " étoiles", quartier calme. Super rapport quaité/ Prix. Petit déjeuner cher, avons opté pour un petit déjeuner espagnol en ville. Pour se garer un grand Parking surveillé près de L'Hôpital et du front de mer : BIOMEDICAL

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel and managed to get their best room overlooking the harbour. The hotel is perfect situated close to the beach and the old town. I'm definitly going back. And ask for the same hotelroom...

Deilig beliggenhet rett ved sjøen. Eldre bygning, med grei kjøling. Synd at noen røyker rett ved inntaket, så vi fikk gratis røyklukt inn mestparten av dagen. Døren til badet skrek, men til gjengjeld fikk vi rullestol rom slik at det var danseplass på badet. uten at det var behov. ingen hyller der. TV med CNN og spansk program og BBC uten lyd. En stol […] i hele rommet, men vi hadde jo senger:) Det var ganske variert frokost men vi spiste heller ute på bar, mye koseligere:) Mehr

При заказе подкупила возможность расположиться на открытой террасе с видом на море, но, как оказалось, терраса имелась лишь в нескольких номерах и не была общедоступной. Et udemærket sted at overnatte, med en central beliggenhed. Den eneste/største skuffelse var vi ikke var opmærksom på morgenmaden ikke var inkluderet. Så vi fik en ekstraregning da vi checkede ud. Der følte vi os i høj grad flået for en tarvelig gang spisning.
