Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills - Beverly Hills

Extremely well tended hotel. Very comfortable beds and accommodations in room as well though out the hotel. Restaurant was delightful and room service timely and courteous. In out service for car was reasonably priced and service was on time with attendants that greeted guests with a smile.

As we were there not as vacationers but to be near a critically ill daughter in the hospital, the comfort and caring by a staff, none of whom were aware of our situation, were a blessing. No-hassle, no-wait valet service, great kindness from everyone. The same things you want on a vacation from any kind of stress. Thank you, everyone.

Cool pool at center of hotel. Room: Overall nice decor and clean, but needed some maintenance. Nothing terrible. Super soft towels and comfy bed. The bathroom had a strange hospital vibe. Staff were extremely helpful. I had the flu and they sent a runner to get me medicine. Limited room service menu.

The staff is at times very helpful, and at time very pretentious. The roomas have just been repainted and cosmectically arranged; no real luxury there, just the appearance of it, like in all the hotel. Schizophrenic attitude towards pets as the hotel is listed as pet firnadly, but all is done to counter that position. We enjoyed two nights at the Avalon in Beverly Hills. The pool area is beautiful and hip, but it's also a restaurant area. So, it feels less private and less pool-like when people are eating just a few feet away from where you are swimming and sun bathing. but it works. Avalon was adorable! It was trendy, while still be warm and comfortable unlike so many other boutique hotels. It has great character. I loved my room, it was so cute! The bar and restaurant really made the hotel and it centered around the pool. just a great hotel and I will be back for sure!

The room was great, large and very clean. The staff was helpful and the location was perfect for site seeing. The only down side was that the pool area closed for swimming at 6pm since it was a part of the outdoor dining area for the resturant.

This recently renovated hotel looks just like the photos. It was very comfortable with very accommodating staff. The food was exquisite. The chef is from Milan and everything we ate was fresh, creatively served, and very tasty. The drinks were also very good. Service excellent. the Avalon is a trendy hotel in south Beverly Hills. It was a sixties style apartment complex that was converted into a hotel. The decor in the public spaces is very nice and well appointed as well as the pool area. The rooms were average nice but nothing special or relative to the public spaces. The center core where the pool is can get noisy at night […] and i stayed over a weekend but i do not feel it was too bad. The only things i would have to say for people to know is parking is 30 dollars a night which is steep especially when you do not have a choice there is no overnight parking without a permit in beverly hills. Second the internet cost was very expensive with only two options per day at around 11 to 15 dollars can't remember exactly and or a week for just under 50 dollars that's pretty expensive and you really feel like they are the airlines charging for earphones or a blanket. This is even more expensive then some of the european hotels i just visited. Mehr

My 12 year old son and i stayed there last week. It was wonderful.. Walking distance to everything. Helpful staff. Stylish environment. Very quite and comfortable room. Would stay again in a minute.

Hotel only has vallet parking @ $30 per night. Poorly signed and very difficult to find. Do yourself a favouor and stay at one of the beach cites.

Between the location and midrange price- this hotel is a steal. Our employees have been staying at the Avalon Hotels a few times a month now since the middle of 2009- and no one has returned with even the smallest negative comment! For well over 60 nights at the Avalon! Parking and the in hotel restaurant are pricey but there are lesser priced options […] a 5 min walk away! Mehr

The staff at the Avalon are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere made me feel like I was on a holiday although I was in LA for work. I will certainly be back- in fact, I can't wait!

Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills. Terrific Service, spacious rooms and a very courteous staff.

Lobby & restaurant were impressive & trendy. Room was disappointing & pillows were paper thin-very bad night's sleep. Also had to turn off the air conditioner as it was noisy. Room & hallway gave away the hotel's true age. Almost did not even check in as I was in a car waiting 20 minutes to get to the valet as they had a catered party checking in. […] They made no special arrangements for paying guests. Restaurant service was very slow- 1 hr. for a pizza. It too was delayed because of the party. In short, the hotel is more interested in hosting trendy industry parties than taking care of their guests. Mehr

This is a fabulous location if you are doing business in Century City or Beverly Hills. It is not a showy place but, for the price, you get a clean, well-laid-out room and a great poolside dining area. A representative told me they plan to upgrade the rooms and workout facility shortly, so there is more to come.

Tucked away and blends in with the surrounding area and I almost drove right past it, but the Avalon is definitly worth checking out! Nice pool/lounge area, decent gym for a smaller hotel, great service, and very nice, modern rooms. I'd stay here again for sure!

everything was nice except the expensive valet

Was obviously and old motel converted to a stylistic one. Vintage feel, but not as close to where I needed to be. Rooms were smaller than I would have liked, but the service was great!

I was there on Sept. 4 through Sept. 7 with my girlfriend and also to celebrate my b/day there too. We both were so surprised how beautiful, friendly service and clean this hotel were. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you and keep up with the good work.

Got a great deal on this hotel and it is in a great location. The fitness center is REALLY SMALL, but they have good equipment (and there was a sign saying they're opening a larger one in Summer 09...which is about over). Staff was friendly, beds were comfy, food and parking was really expensive but that's what you expect in Beverly Hills. Overall a […] great place and I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

The hotel location is ideal for a beach getaway. You are 10 mins away from the beach and the price is unbeatable. I would recommend the hotel and cannot wait to go back. The staff is incredible.

When I got there, the bathroom kind of smelled like pee and I had a weird experience at the restaurant where there were hairs and things in two dishes in a row...Also overnight parking is a whopping $30/night. ...Otherwise the pool is great, location is great.

Travelers beware, you may get a good deal booking this hotel thru this website but beware you will be required to pay a $30 a night mandatory parking fee! There is no street parking, so there's no way of avoiding it. If we had known this before we would not have stayed at this hotel. Also they charge $11 a day for wireless internet. All these extra […] charges seem like nothing, but they add up if you're staying for longer than a night. Mehr

If you plan on traveling to Beverly Hills, do not overlook this delightful hotel. The rooms are decorated in a 50's fashion. What really makes this hotel shine is the attention to customer service. We found all staff from the valet to the front desk and restaurant to be very polite and customer focused. They have a great on-site restaurant and I highly […] recommend the Chicken entree. Overall enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The downstairs hotel lounge area is very pretty and definitely has a swanky vibe. The rooms aren't as glamorous as you may think from the website, but the beds are very comfortable (important!) My biggest issue was the internet connection. I had a horrible time trying to do work emailing via a laptop. Something […] about their internet and my work email didn't mesh so that would be a major reason I wouldn't stay again. Please note that this is in a residential section of Beverly Hills so there isn't really anywhere to walk to outside of the hotel. Super hôtel. Les chambres sont grandes et belles. Très confortables. Très jolie piscine et le restaurant est délicieux. Je le recommande fortement.

Mycket fint hotell som låg bra till i beverly hills. Jättebra service av personalen och att börja dagen på gymmet var extra lyxigt. Det enda vi saknade var en ismaskin =)

The hotel was good even if quite expensive. It was my first time in LA. So I can't compare the hotel with others.

Si vous aimez les boutiques hotel, allez y!!!! L'hôtel est d'un façon générale décoré avec beau de goût et le personnel est très sympatique. Un petit bémol sur le faite que quand vous réservez par internet votre chambre n'est pas forcément dans le bâtiment principal.

Cuando llegamos al hotel , a pesar de tener una triple en la reserva, esta no estaba preparada. Nos dijeron que era un error de la compañia de reservas. De todas formas, lo solucionaron con una cama supletoria

nous avions réservé une chambre pour 4 personnes. Il s'est avéré qu'il s'agissait d'une suite avec un sofa. Après ouverture du sofa, on découvre qu'on ne peut pas dormir à 2 dedans et qu'il est très inconfortable. Nous avons été obligés de demander un extra bed alors la jolie suite s'est transformée en dortoir. Le pire de tout, c'est qu'il est très […] sonore. Ceci ne concerne peut-être que l'annexe.
