Good hotel very convenient good service BUT very small rooms

This was a perfect stay. No complaints, only kudos. We especially liked the terrace overlooking Sydney.It was a perfect location for an end of the day Happy Hour. It was great to meet the manager in the lobby on two occasions.

I think its just rude that customers have to pay for parking on top of the hotel fee. The directions to the car park were not clear & after just having day surgery, I was not in any mood to be guessing which car park we should have been in.

I had a superior room which had a magnificant view of Darling Harbour. The Hotel is close to all the city highlights. It is in a great location. The accommodation is not very flash for the price and you do not want to spend to much time in your room. If it wasn't for the location and view you would not stay there. Whilst waiting to book out a young […] couple were booking out two days earlier because of the room and they were not concerned about getting a refund. It the room rates were reduced it would be acceptable place to stay. Mehr

The room was clean, but very utilitarian, really just like university hostel room. The pillows were flat and required replacement. However the Ibis is centrally located and was perfect for my needs. Overall the room was overpriced for the level of (dis)comfort offered, but the location is brilliant.

Excellent location for Darling Harbour and Harbourside shoppong centre. Easy access to these by foot - approx 4 minutes.

excellent location...easy access to public transportation and adjacent to mall, Darling Harbor night life, restaurants, convention center...very safe neighborhood...convenient and close to everything. Rooms were small but still comfortable.

This location was so convenient to many attractions, shops and transportation. We were able to walk to much of what we wanted to enjoy. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. One bonus was to enjoy the skyline and another was to have a front row seat for the fireworks display.

Sure, the location is good, but this is a very barebones operation and I found an equally convenient location at a much better price and it was far superior to Ibis. Not good value for money.

Very disappointing . Very basic room, bathroom not clean. Had to pay to store luggage. Only good thing was location

Ibis Darling Harbour was very convenient for everything you would want to see in Sydney. The hotel was very comfortable the only down point is not enough storage space eg wardrobes or shelves.

My wife and i stayed overnight there for our 20th wedding anniversary and let me tell you it was like an overpriced formula 1. four walls, a bed, a very small tv with bad reception, a cramped combined toilet and shower, the carpark costs were a joke and the service was non existent. The lady at the front counter even had the nerve to insult my wife […] when we checked out. No i would not recommend this hotel to anyone and on a scale of 1-10 a would rate my experience there at -2. Thanks for ruining what should have been a fantastic night Mehr

The hotel was very small, barely any room to put luggage. Shower was also very small, if I were a larger person, I probably couldn't turn around or bend down in it. Sheets were stained, phone was full of grime, no hair dryer in room, I could go on and on....Just for the money not a great place to stay.

Regarding my recent stay at the Ibis hotel in Darling Harbour I thought an honest review was in order. Firstly the room was way too small for the two people sharing it and that somewhat compromised the overall comfort of the room. They need to up date the furnishings and definitely need to replace the old hard lumpy pillows they expect their guest […] to sleep on. This hotel may be ok for travellers spending an overnighter but anything more I would recommend you spend the extra $$ and stay somewhere like the Novatel next door. On a last note I would like too mention the efficiency of the reception staff and the way they check-in and out their guests excellent if your in a hurry to catch a plane etc. Mehr

I love this hotel, I always stay here or the novotel depending on whats avail at the time

My daughter and I stayed at the Ibis Hotel on Darling Harbour for 4 nights and although the location was central and handy for sight-seeing in Sydney ( the main reason for our choice of this hotel) we were very unimpressed by the standard of accommodation and service in comparison to all the other accommodation booked on our travels through Victoria […] and NSW. When we arrived the receptionist was more interested in flirting with a male guest at the reception counter than checking us in and there was no one around to help us with our considerable amount of luggage! The twin room was cramped and had very little space for our baggage and hanging our clothes - luckily we did not spend much time indoors! My nightie also went missing with the laundry and has never materialised, despite the staff''s promise "to look into it". The only redeeming features were the hotel's central location and its car parking facility (although this came at a considerable price!). The Ibis was a very soulless and impersonal experience! Mehr

Great location! Close to everything that you will need for a weekend in Sydney. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful. The room was clean & our view over Darling Harbour was sensational! Will stay there again..

I enjoyed my stay in the Hotel. The room was clean the air conditioning is good and convenient.

By far one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The front desk staff was hard to work with because all they would say is '110%'. There were issues regarding my check in and when I asked what the options were the man at the front desk was not helpful in explaining the situation. He was successful in making me feel like an outcast and not wlecome […] at the hotel. The room was more like a jail cell. Barren white walls. The ceiling was vaulted however the only item on the walls was the tiny 10' television which all the channels didn't even work on. this gave the room an unwelcoming feel to it. Internet charges were exorbinant compared to other nearby hotels. Room was dirty. There was dust all over the floorboards and on the blinds. Clock and radios all set to different times. None of them being the correct time. Very noisy. I was able to hear people in the hall all night and being right next to the elevators I could also hear the hum and dinging of the elevators throughout the night. For the money that one has to shell out to stay at the Ibis you would be much better off staying somewhere eles such as the Novotel or Sheraton. Mehr

Excellent location but room was small and basic.Room and hallways were very stuffy and air con system need a cleanout as it released a lot of dust in the air.I couldnt wait to get out of the room.

Located near local transportation stops and near very active Darling Harbor. We had view of harbor and night lights in Sydney. First night in was greeted with a short fireworks display as part of city's May events. It was like...WELCOME TO SYDNEY. Room was small compared to other accommodations we had on our trip. The rooms are small but the service and location are great. Value for money compared with other adjacent hotels is great. Easy access to sights and transport. Airport shuttle available for at a really good rate.

Nothing wrong with it at all. Clean. Good location. Just very very average. No bells and whistles.

Great location to all the sights of Sydney CBD and other locations...Opera house, sydney Harbour Bridge, The Rocks etc

Perfect waterside location, with easy access to restaurants and boat excursions. Our harbour-facing room was not huge, but it offered spectacular views which more than compensated for its size..

Great location!!!! Great view over Darling Harbour. Easy stroll to harbour and shops.

Pyrmont is a nice area to stay in, if you're interested in walking around the city for a more intimate experience. Extremely close to Star City and Darling Harbour, also Fish Market within walking distance. The rooms need upgrades, cleanness is ok. The rooms are a little noisy, you can hear what's next door.

Jeg og min samboer hadde tre dager til rådighet i Sydney og valgte dette hotellet fordi vi ønsket å bo så nært Darling Harbour som mulig innenfor rimelighetens pris. Hotellet svarte absolutt til forventningene. Fantastisk beliggenhet med Harbour view. (Viktig å spesifisere harbour view ved bestilling) Nærhet til havnen med utallige muligheter både når […] det gjelder bespisning, ferger og annet. De ansatte var svært hyggelig og gjorde sitt til at vi hadde et veldig bra opphold i Sydney. Hvis noe skal påpekes må det være at rommet var ganske lite. Det funket uansett helt greit. Mehr
