Es ist sehr schwer und sehr kompliziert, das Hotel mit dem PKW trotz angegebener Hotel-Adresse wegen der mangelhafter und sehr schlechter Schilderung (zu kleines Hinweisschild) zum Hotel zu finden.

I've stayed in many hotels all over the world and whilst France is reknowned for food and style I wouldn't have put it high for service. This hotel is an exception! Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to assist in any way they could. The location is a little way out of the centre but La Defense has a thriving commercial centre […] near by. Don't, therefore, be put off by the geography. Mehr

A good choice of hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable however some facilities advertised were not available and one lift was down. Having said that, we had an amazing stay.

The Sofitel La Defense staff were very polite and helpful. Each day there were complimentary pastries and/or fruit at the front desk. Our room was clean, with plenty of room, comfortable bed, desk and a large very clean bathroom with bath and shower. Our friends used the Metro which was very close and said it was very easy, but we used the local buses […] which took us down the Champs Elysee. Very good bus system - No. 73 took us to the hotel. Last bus leaves city at approx. 8:30 p.m. The Defense area with the huge modern buildings and the Grande Arche were magnificent especially when you lined up the Arc de Triomphe with the Grande Arche at night. It is a little way out of the city but wanted a decent hotel with airconditioning and we were very satisfied. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but bought coffee and pastry in the mall in a shopping arcade near the red artistic sculpture. After Ancient Rome, La Defense area was a delight. We did have one taxi driver who did know the way to the hotel, so if in doubt find another. Would stay at the Sofitel again. Mehr

Myself and my girlfriend stopped at the hotel sofitel la defense in September 2011. The trip was a mixture of buisness and pleasure and was one of the more resonable priced 4/5* hotels i could find. We drove from the Uk to Paris and was hoping as the hotel was a little further out of the centre it would be easy to find, unfortunatly this was not quite […] the case and after driving around in cricles for 20 minutes we finally noticed the small sign for the sofitel. Once at the hotel we were met and the car car taken for the valet parking service (€25 charge for this) but worth it as trying to find alternative parking would have been a nightmare. The front desk staff were very welcoming and asked about our plans and recommended restaurants in the centre etc if we needed. The room was a good size and comfortable, not quite what I would call 5* but was a good 4** buisness hotel room. After an afternoon of sightseeing we came back to the hotel and decided to eat in the hotel, the restaurant is a tad expensive for what you get and the fact that a pint of beer cost €12 was a little over the top I felt and I think better restaurants could be found eating in the centre but after a long trip we were glad of the convienience. Overall a nice stay and a nice hotel, very good if on buisness in the la defence area and easy acess to the metro to get into the centre in around 15/20 mins. Mehr

Loved the Hotel, the bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept on!! La Defense is a very modern business district with 2 amazing shopping malls.. 2 mins from the metro and 10 mins from tourist areas..

Location outside Paris is terribly in convenient for tourists. A ghost town on weekends with limited metro service. Cabs don't want to go there because they cannot get return fares. Impossible to find by auto.

Restaurant and service were excellent. Room is starting to become tired in decore etc...the electric GPOs require electrician servicing. Airconditoner was below satisfaction for the time of the year. Very close to the Metro Rail.

If you want a top quality 5* hotel in Paris at a sensible price then this is the hotel. The location is not ideal if you are not happy to travel out of town though. From the centre of Paris it is about 15-20 mins by Metro - the nearest Metro station is right on the doorstep of the hotel on the plus side. The staff are amazingly accomodating and helpful. […] They upgraded us on arrival and we went into a junior siute. The room was loveley and full of nice little touches. Overall, if you are happy to explore and move away from a boring conventional 3* hotel in the centre, and you want to spoil yourslef, then go for this hotel! Mehr

Affordable 5 star in Paris. Location whilst not in centre was very convenient being on metor route 1. Also within walking distance to Bois de Boulogne. Best bed I have ever slept in - made it hard to get up and sightsee!

We were looking for a good hotel for a reasonable price and found hotels in the centre too expensive. This was a lovely hotel, although the area is mostly a business district and deserted at weekends, with little opportunity for eating out in walking distance. It is only 5 stops on the metro from the Arc de Triomphe and 1stop from the huge mall at the […] Grande Arche, and we found this very convenient. Hotel as you would expect from a 5* Sofitel, and would completely recommend staying here if you don't want noisy Paris straight out of the hotel doors. Not good if you want to be in the centre of things, but I would certainly stay here again. Good value for money. Mehr

Soffitel is good compared to the standard of the hotels in Paris. No much fun nearby.

At first the location seemed that it was a problem getting there by taxi very difficult be ause it is only excessible underground....but after initial issues we found out that is a great value for a five star inner Paris hotel and if you travel using the Metro train system located 2 blocks via traffic free parkway you will find it simple to get anywhere […] in Paris very easily...Line. Number 1 near the hotel is the main Metro line and excessible to all ares of Paris..Also there public relation trouble shooter Albert Mear's expertise and overall management skills for the Sofitel La Defense I am sure will someday be in charge of all the Sofitels in the future if they promote from within there company..Best overall value in Paris....regards, Bob and Janet Mehr

I stayed at the Sofitel in La Defense for three nights. It was very comfortable. Most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was a definite focus on good customer service. The only downside was the cleanliness of the carpet and curtains which could have done with a deep clean but overall the maid service was excellent. The hotel itself is very nice, with great, helpful staff and nice convenient rooms. Can't emphasize the level of service enough, it's really good. The area of La Defense feels clean and safe, with a huge shopping mall just a couple of blocks from the hotel, the biggest in Europe at one time I was told. Our only problem with the hotel is not so much […] with the hotel itself, but with the Paris Metro's uselessness for people with strollers. Since the hotel is situated within walking distance from absolutely nothing except the Grande Arch, you rely on other means of transportation. Unless you enjoy carrying your stroller up and down countless stairs while sweating and cursing, you will spend a small fortune on taxis while in Paris. None of which are equipped with bumper seats, of course. The access to the hotel by car is under ground and quite complicated, make sure your cab driver knows how to get there before getting in, also make sure to tell it's not the ex Sofitel Pullman Hotel also located in La Defense you are talking about. To take a train from La Defense railway station is an excellent way to get to Versaille though, so that was pretty practical. Just one short flight of stairs to carry the stroller too, yay. As others have mentioned, breakfast is the usual high Sofitel price, 26 Euros per person I believe, so better head over to one of the many nice places at the mall, Quatre Temps, and have a great breakfast at a fraction of the price while you get ready to carry your stroller around Paris. I ordered this hotel through Hotels.com . The address was picked due to its closeness to my next morning appointments (taxi-distance). The hotels is part od the Accor Group, I am a member of the A-Club. I stay in their hotels about 20 times a year. This is a business hotel with all service and amenities. The traffic to and from the hotel is under ground, […] it is quiet. It is located about 5 miles from Chams Elysees, and to get there is about a 45 minutes quicl walk. I have stayed in this hotel since it opened and about 20 times. Arrival by taxi is under ground. The check-in process is very pleasant, courteous, but not fast.. The restaurant is really good, unusual for a hotel. The checkout is also slow yet very courteous. Ordering a taxi ths time took 20 minutes, but traffic in Paris is slow, and radio-taxis get stuck. The hotel is quite expensive but it is a business hotel and not totally off the mark. Mehr

I would recommend staying at the Sofitel La Defense whilst in Paris especially if you are looking for larger rooms than you would get in the city centre, and a quieter area meaning a perfect nights sleep! This was the best sleep I've had in any hotel, it was lovely and quiet. Staff were really really helpful and friendly, particularly the room service […] staff. The hotel is clean and smart but the public areas were smaller than expected (not really a problem). The bar prices are ridiculously expensive meaning we just had one soft drink whilst waiting for our room to be ready (6 euros each!) The hotel should extend their mid week happy hour to include weekends. There isn't much nearby in terms of bars or restaurants either but with the metro practically opposite it's really easy to nip up to the Champs Elysees!! A very safe area. Mehr

Sofitel La Defence offered a great choice for luxury with affordable price. Great bedding, suprisingly, everything they used in the room are from Hermes, Prestige room was great as well as the luxury room. not far away from city center, 18 euro by taxi to de louvre.

Air conditioner broke and they couldn't fix it. Located in the middle of the business district. NOTHING is walking distance. But the service and food are very good Rooms are okay, but not quite up tp Sofetiel standards.

Found a great rate for this hotel on Hotels.com. We live an hour south of Paris, but had a flight out of CDG in the morning and decided to stay in Paris to cut down on the airport commute. We figured this hotel (a 5 star by their description) would be a great way for us to have an easy commute to CDG, and a way to beat the hot summer heat in a cool […] hotel room. Check-in was fine, and the room was clean, modern and comfortable. After a few minutes, we turned on the AC and went out for dinner. Arrived back to the room expecting it to be cooled off, but realized the AC wasn't working. After calling the front desk, someone came up to inform us it was broken, and offered a fan instead. The front desk told us there were no other rooms available, and that the next day they could try to move us. Obviously this didn't help us - since we were leaving. I found it hard to believe they didn't know the AC was broke when they offered us this room 24 hours before our arrival. I was even less convinced this AC issue was a new problem when they offered me a fan, and told me "where they usually put it". Needless to say, we wouldn't have stayed here if they had let us know the AC was out - I expect more of a Sofitel. Otherwise, the hotel is a nice business 5 star, with easy access to La Defense. Staff is courteous, but not well prepared for toursits on the weekend. Witnessed a very confused guest receiving poor advice on touring Paris from front desk staff. Do Stay Here: - If the AC is working - If you have business in La Defense - If you are ok taking the train about 10 minutes to tourist sites - If you get a good room rate Don't Stay Here: - If you expect to be able to walk to tourist sites Mehr

The hotel was very good standard, quiet, clean, the only problem is accessability to Paris, options are a taxi which in rush hour can be time consuming, the metro which in rush hour can be hot and uncomfortable. Off peak times at the weekend taxis are difficult to take from the city. The surrounding area is very nice for breakfast, lunch etc.

I can easily recommend this hotel to anyone, business or pleasure. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, which are very professional and make you feel very welcome. The prices are a bit stiff, but you definately get what you pay for in this hotel. I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend after a week of hostels around France. They treated us very well, and the room was nicer than I thought it would be. We stayed in a "luxury" room which was definitely worth the extra money. The concierge was very friendly and everyone spoke english well. It's in a bit of a business district, but there is […] a shopping mall nearby and its only about 10 extra minutes on the metro. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for romance or luxury in Paris. The only complaint was that the shower door didn't seal so the shower got water everywhere. Also, the paint on the ceiling above the shower was peeling. Mehr

This is a beautiful hotel well situated on one of the main metro lines. you can see the arc de trumph when you walk out the front door. But it was strange the lack of other customers. We found out when we ordered 2 beers at the bar (1 large 1 small) why no one was using the bar or restaurant. 18 euro for 2 beers. Total rip off

It seemed to me that the bigger/better hotels in Paris (value-for-money-wise) were out in La Defense so since Sofitel was right beside the yellow (1) metro line it looked like the best choice - and boy was it. A welcome at reception like we were VIPs, a room that was complete luxury (oh, that shower!...and a bed that I could live in for the rest of […] my life!) and so, so fast to get into the centre of things. The view from right outside the hotel was of both the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower...and spin 'round and you were a short stroll from the modern but equally impressive La Grande Arche. It's the business district so on Friday evening and on Sat/Sun it was really quiet in La Defense - a great place to come back to after a busy crowded day in the city centre shopping/sightseeing etc. The hotel's restaurant was okay but we're not great fans of hotel restaurants so we were never going to be bowled over by their offering - which was limited and a bit plain. Their wine was horrifically expensive for France and a bottle of water for your table sir? 10 euro. Gulp. With sterling exchange at that time that was pretty much 10 quid on the nose for a bottle of still water. So....buyer beware and all that...but outside of the restaurant I can safely say that we were so impressed by this hotel that it's where we're going to stay every time we're in Paris from now on. En déplacement professionnel pour un congrès qui se tenait à la défense, c'etait l'hôtel idéal. Pour les soirées, une ligne de métro direct nous emmenait au centre en 20 minutes. seul "hic", nous avions réservé pour 3 et il a fallu demander 3 fois pour qu'on nous intalle le 3e lit... a 23h! Par contre, l'hôtel est extrêment bien insonorisé et les lits […] sont confortables. Très bien. Mehr

Even though this hotel is ten minutes away from the center of Paris with Metro, it is a perfekt stay. From the esplanade in front of the hotel you can enjoy the Eiffel Tower, Arc Triomph and the Gand Arch. Wow. (a service is available on request, but takes time) Minibar prices on the high side, but with room for own items. Nespresso in the room is a big plus. とても高級なホテルです。その割に料金はお得でした。パリ市郊外なので、空港ー市内の乗り合いミニバスサービスは利用できないのが問題でしたが、ポルト・マヨまでエアフラのバスを使い、そこからホテルまでタクシーに乗ればさしたる不便ではない。地下鉄駅からごく近いので、どこに行くにも便利。ＣＰはとても高いと評価しました。

Superbe séjour, Qualité exceptionnelle, manque cependant un peu de choix dans sa carte de restaurant.

5성급 호텔에 맞게 매우 깨끗하고 친절하였음 호텔곳곳의 디자인이 매우 세련됨 침대도 아주 편안함. 객실도 넓은편임. 그러나 욕조가 없는 방을 주어서 약간 아쉬웟음 매일 생수2병을 주어서 편리했음 조식은 극히 기본적인것만 준비되어있음

Très confortable (surtout le lit), très propre et seulement a 15 minutes en metro du centre de Paris. Absolument recommandable.

Overnattet på hotellet en langhelg. Dro 2 stk. på U2 konsert på Stade De France (96.000 tilskuere) Helt sinnsykt bra konsert. På hotellet får du mye for pengene i selve rommet men mat og vin er dyrt. Bra service og fine rom og veldig bra seng. Multimedia utstyr og både stor dusj og badekar i et luksusrom. Rolig område i helgene som er bra og et stort […] kjøpesenter 10 min gange unna med alt av butikker du kan ønske deg. Både tilgang til RER (express metro) via kjøpesentret med RER B rett inn til Paris sentrum på 10 min. (Eller rett til CDG flyplassen) Eller det som er raskere metro linje 1 som stopper nesten rett ved hotellet og tar derfor like lang tid inntil Paris sentrum. Veldig god men litt dyr buffet frokost men verdt det når du skal på farta i Paris. Vil absolut anbefale hotellet og vi kan tenke oss å bo der igjen senere. Sk. treningsrom er brukbart m sykkel, tredemølle og enkelt multiapparat og det er mange steder rundt hvor du kan jogge hvis du liker det. Mehr

We chose to stay at this hotel because we wanted to stay in a safe and quiet corner of Paris. However we also wanted easy access from Orly airport to the hotel and easy access tfrom the hotel to dowtown Paris. Of course high rating from previous guest were also taken in our consideration. A very pleasant staff, helpful and polite. Possible to let […] the hotel take care of your luggage on your depature date (we had a rather late departure back to Oslo), helpful ordering taxi. No charge for this service. Saturdays and sundays are dull in this area, no people around and no coffee shop or restaurants open. Go downtown to have you breakfast as the hotel's breakfast buffèt is far to expensive (€ 27,- per person per day !!!!) During week days you can visit Starbucks or Pomme Pain (croissants, muffins, sandiwches, small not too heavy dishes) for a fairly priced start of your day. Mehr
