Days Inn & Suites DFW Airport - Irving

Room, facility, and service we decent. Bugs in the room were a little disturbing. Lack of coffee cups in the morning was another negative.

Food - There is not "hot" breakfast so don't plan on it. Bathroom - there was rotten door frames. Check-in - we arrived a day early and the night desk person was very helpful to gives our room a night early and allow us to stay in the room for the next two day we had reserved through hotels.com. The next morning there was an issue that the day desk […] person did not know we were staying or had checked in. Our room was not cleaned that day. I have stayed at a lot of hotels over the past few years. Although this hotel was a little cleaner than others, it was probably one of the worst. It was all customer service. They did nothing to lift a finger for me. Their shuttle person was not on time. And there were several issues where the front desk person was just not helpful. I specifically […] asked for cupons, and nothing else, and he almost forced me to stay while he called a place I had no interest in. I actually walked away thinking, he didn't listen or hear a word that I said. Overall, not clean, but not extremely dirty, customer service was a 0. Mattress was not at all good. Bad experience. Where to start. First words out of my daughters mouth "this place is creepy". Nob on ac was broke, shower was dirty, iron didn't work, ran out of milk for breakfast, furniture in room was out of a garage sale. We didn't even shower the next morn, ate dry cereal and left as soon as possible. Pay the extra $20 and stay somewhere nice.

The room we checked into, the toilet apparently leaked into the room downstairs (found out when we came back after dinner to people in our room and the toilet in parts). The floor around the toilet needs to be replaced, felt like we would fall through the floor. The cleaning staff knocked on our door at 10 am to ask if we wanted the room clean, we forgot […] to put the Do Not Disturb sign out but we also had maintenance in our room until after midnight. The room we were moved to the next day didn't have maintenance issues, not as bad, but the bathroom needed to be cleaned much better than it was and caulking was pretty bad around the tub. Mehr

The room had fleas ,hair in the bathroom ,mole in the bathroom ceiling and hair on the bath towels . I was not happy with the room the bed was hard the mattress was thin you could feel the springs in it. I will not be staying their anymore.

OUR STAY WAS GREAT WE REALLY LOVED OUR STAY BUT ONE OF THE BED HEADBOARDS WAS KNOCKED OFF THE WALL AND THE TOWEL RACK WAS HANGING OFF THE WALL BY THE SINK BUT OTHER THEN THAT IT WAS GREAT.

I really love here ! There are very good service.You can ask them trensfer you between Days inn and Centre port TRE Station or anywhereelse that not so far. The room is clean. If I have a chance to come Dallas ,I will stay here agian.

First off I must commend Bill the hotel mgr he was WONDERFUL,but the hotel itself was kind of uncomfortable. We took a group of our family/employees on our annual summer vacation and I decided to use hotels.com to find us a hotel nearby Six Flags Texas/Hurricane Harbor in Arlington. Bill was kind enough to accommodate me by rearranging my regular to a "suite". Turns out my suite was a handicap room with no jacuzzi in it, sign on door says "Non Smoking Room" but the stinch of smoke was definitely in the room. Again, Bill was very courteous and patient. He moved myself, my husband & our 2 girls(who ironically both suffers with asthma, WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT? ....AND there's a rhyme to this reason, HOLD TIGHT!)into a room that was nice at 1st glance but turned out to have ants everywhere, the dresser drawers were visibly falling apart, really I couldn't open to put clothes in it if I wanted to. My husband ask me to arrange a WAKE UP call for the next morning & low & behold...PHONE DIDNT WORK. The tile in the bathroom was visibly dirty(can't get much by us...WE OWN A JANITORIAL COMPANY!!!!!) And the topper of my ROOM(TOLD U GUYS TO HOLD TIGHT!) Remember my girls both have asthma...BLACK BLACK MOLD IN THE BATHROOM ON THE CEILING. I had noticed black spots on the wall in various places in the restroom but didn't know it was mold. I happened to look up for something and couldn't believe it, it was so black it was like black paint on the ceiling(it covered the entire area above the toilet!!). Now that was my room...we had a total of 5 rooms. We were very happy with our stay. Our room was nice and clean, the staff was happy and helpful. The breakfast was nice. We really liked the location.

Tile floor in bath needs repair, a/c cycles on/off and when it's off you can hear your neighbors and people talking in hallway plus being so close to DFW when the a/c is off you can easily hear the jets taking off/landing.

The room was clean, and about a ten minutes drive from the Hotel, to "DFW".

Everything was ok until we tried getting some sleep that night. The smoke alarm chirpped all night long. The water faucet was backwards thinking there was no hot water only to find out there was. When mentioned to front desk clerk he simply said sorry and didn't even offer us a discount for our trouble. He said room was already charged for and paid. […] No receipt was provided at time of check out. Mehr

Came here to visit colleges with our daughter. Cleanliness of the rooms was a plus. At night, though when we were trying to sleep, the toilet made a very loud water sound and the explanation was that all of them needed to have the stoppers replaced. Didn't help us at the time.

We were just in Dallas for the night, waiting for a connecting flight. The shuttle driver was super nice and accommodating and took great care of us both getting us to the hotel and back to the airport early the next day. The hotel was clean and there was a nice computer for us to check emails. Overall, great stay!

Older but clean rooms with refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Mostly aprreciated the shuttle service though it needs some interior improvements. Helpful staff. Great price for the location.

I stayed here becasue of an ice storm coming through the area and I wanted to be close to the airport. Good location but the hotel is not in great shape. OK to crash for the night if needed. Staff was helpful.

For purposes of crashing for the night, this place was ok. The only thing I didn't like was that the non-smoking rooms were in the same hallway as the smoking rooms so the hallways smell of smoke all the time. Not very appreciated by the non-smoker. We chose this place because we just needed a place to stay for the night during a connecting flight out […] of DFW airport. The hotel offers free shuttl service to/from the airport. Complementary breakfast consists of cereal, coffee, pastries, bagels and there's a waffle machine to make your own waffles:) The rooms themselves are spacey and the bathroom was nice and clean as well. I would stay here again but will look for another hotel first. Bathroom faucet was loose,loose tiles in the bathroom, waffle maker didn't work properly,knobs were removed from heater- a/c control. Rooms were clean and comfortable

There was a smell in the hotel of Indian food - maybe curry?? The hotel looks nice on the outside but it's not. The rooms are small and old. There was a bedspread on the bed that looked ancient. The beds were very hard and the complimentary breakfast ended at 9am?!?!?

This was the first time I had ever used Hotels.com to book a hotel.....THIS HOTEL WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!! The sheets were dirty, it looked as though they had just made the bed from the previous guest....black mascara all over the pillow cases. Carpet torn....Wall outlets torn.....no hair dryer in the first room they offered....second room they gave us hair […] dryer had melted plastic that had broke off from the dryer in side it.....Both rooms smelled horrible!!!!!!!!!!!! The hotel was just completely run down. Even though they gave us another room both of them were pretty much the same horrible...Not worth it!!!!.... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! Mehr

This Hotel stay was just an over nighter so therefore I didnt expect much. It was convenient as far as price and location. Close to the hotel and local restaurants are at a walking distance. As far as courtesy shuttles I believe the driver is also the owner/manager. That was the funniest part of my trip when my driver checked me in. It was a comfortable convenient hotel with some charm. We stayed in a double queen, because we thought we might need room for an additional person on a night or two. We knew we weren't going to be in the room a lot so amenities like a pool weren't important. We did use and enjoy the wireless internet. Arrived for check-in late Friday night after catching the Rangers/Cubs game. We were told to enter the back door for our room. After dragging 3 small kids and our luggage up the steep parking lot incline, we get in the back door to find the elevators at the front of the building. The back door is on the opposite side of the building from the parking […] lot and requires guest key for entry, but it was only secured at the top of the door. The bottom 3/4 of door was not in the proper alignment, was easily pulled open, and showed water damage/forced entry damage. Dragging kids and gear all the way to the front, we discover a sign saying "elevator out of order. sorry for the inconvenience". Again with the dragging of kids and gear, up stairs to our room. It was probably 86 degrees in our room. There was a crusty moldy substance in the bathroom. There was mold growing on wood rot on the windowsill in the staircase and downstairs doorjambs. The facility first said they did not have any cribs, which was advertised and we requested at reservation. After wegot the kids settled and had fallen asleep, they called and said they did have a crib and would bring it up. They did not bring up any sheets or blankets, just a metal crib with a plastic mattress, and seemed surprised when I asked for some bedding for it. If it had not been so late when we checked in, we would have immediately gone somewhere else. We had a 2-day reservation, but left early the morning after check-in to check out. We found a delightful hotel to stay in the second night. very disappointed. we booked this hotel because of the high guest ratings. Beware Mehr

Me and my husband stayed here and it was surprisingly enjoyable, I loved having the wet bar because we had our 6 month old and it was a good way for me to clean her bottles. The only con that I would say is the elevator I had to go to the second floor to the soda machine and the door wouldn't close so I had to take the stairs, which is healthier anyway. […] The staff was gracious and courteous and I will be booking my next stay in a few minutes. Hotel was in nice area and well kept. Impressed for the cost.

We were going to the cowboy game. Got there late and spaent the night. About all it's good for, but it's all we needed. Great shuddle service to and from the game. If that's all your looking for great place.

Needed a hotel close to the airport and at a reasonable price which this hotel meet all the requirements

If you are looking for a good room that is centrally located to everything in the DFW area then this is the Hotel for you. It is minutes away from the Ranger, Cowboys, DFW airport, and other area attractions. The staff is friendly, but the rooms seem to be a bit dated. The downside is the fact that you can only get into the hotel from one direction […] due to the direction of traffic on Trinity Blvd. Plus the driveway is extremely steep so becareful if you drive a car or the weather is bad. This hotel was perfect for our needs. We were attending a Cowboys game. First of all, the price was excellent, they provide a free shuttle service for airport pick up and drop off and even complimentary shuttle service to the game. It was great! No waiting for a cab or having to spend $100's of dollars for a private car service. Hotel was comfortable […] and clean. This place is definitely the ticket for going to a game! We stayed at this hotel because of it's location. My family had plans to spend the day at Six Flags and chose this hotel because it offered shuttle service 24 hours a day. The problems started when we landed at the airport. The shuttle service wasn't listed in the airport directory so I had to try to find the number. After several calls, I finally […] got in touch with the hotel and they said they'd send a shuttle out "in about 20 minutes." We sat on the curb at the airport for almost an hour! Going back to the airport after vacation was almost as bad. The room itself was OK. Very cramped with just the bed and one chair to sit on. They advertised free HBO but we didn't get that on our TV. The only bright spot was the shuttle driver. He was funny and friendly. He knew his way around the area and didn't drive like a maniac. If the entire hotel stay had been as wonderful as the shuttle driver, I'd give it five stars!!! Mehr
