Caravelle Hotel - Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt

This hotel always exceeds expectations.

We had an enjoyable stay in this Hotel which is well situated within the city limits.

Within 10 - 15 mins walk to Ben Thanh Market. About 10mins walk to the General Post Office/mini Notre Dam. Halal restaurants just around the corner.

We booked the hotel for a short, three-night stay, as an intro visit to Vietnam. Overall, excellent location, excellent service in the business floor from the staff, and excellent gym facilities (very large pool open at 6 am; large well-equipped and maintained gym open 24 hours). The wireless access is somewhat spotty, but typically excellent and available […] in every area of the hotel. Reason for high ratings: -location -gym facilities -business floor facilities (lounge, breakfast, cocktail hour, dedicated check-in, concierge service, wireless access). Reason for lower ratings: -our room had dedicated check-in but we were directed for 10 minutes to the regular check-in and ended up going through the process twice. -our luggage did not appear in our room for about 20 minutes after we checked in. Why the delay? There were no others checking in at our time that we could tell and it took a couple of calls to follow-up on where the luggage was. -they are not ready for 24 hour business. I work in early hours (2 am onwards) and for international business this is essential. There is no public space that is ready for this...nothing is open at that time, staff are surprised if they see you moving about, areas are darkened, the business centre is locked, the only place to sit is a couch in the front lobby or a darkened corner. Otherwise, you stay in your room (not possible with another person sleeping). But kudos to the helpful 9 floor staff and going out of their way. I had an odd need for olive oil for medical reasons (pharmacist recommended, strange but worked) and the concierge contacted the chef who produced it (the staff, whose english is good but not perfect, hadn't a clue what I was talking about). They always went out of their way, even offering to unlock a room for me at night if I needed workspace. I would recommend it and stay there again. But note the small quirks you need to contend with. room is nice clean ,service is good .close to everything i very enjoy it

Can't fault the hotel and as our flight back to Europe was not till midnight they very kindly gave us a very late check out for which I was very grateful,excellent customer service also had a very well equipped gym which is important to me

GOOD HOTEL, GOOD LOCATION

good experience .we used the signature lounge for breakfast and for happy hours...very nice have to do something about the horrible smell in the lobby and the elevator.

Facilities, staff are excellent and location is perfect in center of HCMC District 1.

We stayed at the Caravelle twice during our two weeks in Vietnam in between our trip to Nha Trang. We loved the hotel and would stay again. The location in District 1 is perfect and there are many good places to eat and shop within walking distance. The Benh Thanh market is 10 minutes walking distance as well. We stayed in the new tower and we liked […] the king sized bed which was very comfortable. Room was clean, hotel service is excellent and the Spa. Wireless internet was a little weak in our room so we mostly used the wired connection, but there is no charge for it. We would definitely stay at the Caravelle again when we are in Ho Chi Minh City. I was impressed with my first stay and returned. This time, it was bad. They put in a room next to a group of noisy, boisterous Koreans out on a company outing and they were shouting, yelling and knocking on the doors all night. Asked for a room switch and they gave me one that is facing the construction site. It was only when I settled in that I realised […] the banging and machinery noise were too much. They gave me a 3rd room at 4.30am - still facing the construction site but at another angle but it's nearly morning and I just did not bother to ask again. Return ? No way. The sound proofing of this hotel is bad. You can hear the TV and talking next door clearly...even the traffic. Mehr

The 9th floor signature deluxe rooms are a great deal with the included use of the club lounge for a full breakfast and evening canapes and drinks for free.

This was the first time I used hotels.com and everything was perfect. Hotel was exactly as described. The area itself is extremely nice, but of course you have your shoe-shine boys all over, but that was the case wherever you went. Rooftop bar (Saigon Saigon) had live band every night and it was full and 'alive'. Food was suprisingly delicious and the […] only 'complaint' I had was you had to order drinks from a waitress even while standing at the bar. That was somewhat annoying and not something I was not used to, but their policy I guess. Otherwise, a very positive experience. Mehr

service was good, food was good.room was ok.

空調のコントローラーの調子が悪いのか、温度の細かいコントロールができませんでした。でも、日本人スタッフもフレンドリーで、チェックアウト後のシャワーのサービスも良かったです。立地も良く、何処へ行くのにも便利でした。2月に1度はHCMに出張なので、常宿にしました。

2012/4/19からシグネチャーツインで、2泊しました。事前に日本人と分かっているのでしょう、部屋にはシグネチャークラブについての日本語のサービス案内が置いてあり、英字新聞の他、日本語の新聞のコピーまで配達されました。　シギネチャークラブでの朝食では、ホーが食べられなかったので、2日目は、GFで食事を取りました。　卵料理を作ってくれる隣で　フォーも作ってくれます。　料理の種類も多く　食べきれないのが残念でした。

シグネチャーデラックスに３泊しました。 部屋の造りは古く、シャワーブースはありませんでしたが、とても清潔感があり気持ちよくすごせました。日本人の女性スタッフの方が、気に掛けてくださり、チェックアウト後もクラブルームの利用が出来る事、プールやシャワー等が利用出来る事や利用の仕方等を教えてくださり最後までとても便利に過ごす事が出来ました。 また是非利用したいです。

service excellent and well situated close to down town.

fint beliggende i centrum, meget fin service men en smule slidt. rigtig god seafood restuarant og bar med live musik med flot udsigt.

very good, as usual, was on executive floor and in evening, drinks and food are very very nice at the lounge. I tried hairdresser and SPA, unfortunetly this one was under maintenance till end of july, it smells solvent. Service very good, one point, at the bar they play only Salsa, after one hour, it is heavy... A place to go !!

部屋にオゾンが取り入れられており滅菌の面で非常に進んでいると感じた。 またプールサイドでのスタッフの機敏な動きに感動した。ホーチミンに来る際は必ず利用したい。

以前から利用していたキャラベルホテル。 ベッドのマットレスが、変わったせいか、とても 柔らかくて、ほとんど眠れなかったです。 ダブルベッドで、隣が寝返りを打つと、波打つような振動がします。 さすがに、サービスも朝食も良いのに、このベッドだけは 参りました。 柔らかいベッドが好きな人は大丈夫かもしれませんが、 座っただけでもぐぐっと下がるようでは、スプリングの 老朽化でしょうか・・・ 今までずっとツインだったせいで、スプリングの柔らかさに気が付かなかったのかな・・・ 次回は、ツインベッドを予約します。
