Microtel Inn & Suites - Florenz

The rooms in this hotel live up to their name in that they are small, but they are not a suite in the sense that there are two rooms. There is a small fridge and a small microwave in the room, with a small sink in the room, as well as bathroom. There is NOT a pull out couch which WAS advertised for this room, when I purchased our stay. There is a window […] seat, which will sleep one child or small adult; I am not sure how comfortably. We rented based on the pull out couch, so were quite crowded and had to buy a sleeping bag so one person could sleep on the floor. I will call to check on details in the future before purchasing a nonrefundable room. The service was good. Our room was kept CLEAN. The desk person was kind, friendly and helpful. if you are only a party of two or four; this will be a great and affordable place for you! :) Mehr

I like the hotel very much, they offer free golf and free fittnes at the workout center. The front desk clerks were very friendly, and that's a plus. The room we had was too small. It could have been more roomie. We dealt with it and had a good time. We would stay there again because of excellent clerks. At least we had cont. breakfast. To bad it wasn't […] a full breakfast. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is run more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The personal service we received was exceptional. We had car issues and the onsight staff was more than helpful and understanding. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This is twice that I have stayed at Microtel hotel and BOTH times have been very pleasant! The staff was outgoing, professional, and very friendly. I will be staying again!

The hotel was very clean, modern and overall very nice. The breakfast was okay. Bagels, 2 types of muffins (not very tast, previously frozen), oatmeal, juice, coffee, milk and cold cereal. One of the days they ran out of oatmeal. I'd like to see the addition of some protein, maybe hard boiled eggs? A waffle maker would be a nice addition as well. The […] internet service went out two of the evenings that we were there, apparently due to an area wide shortage. Also we, along with a couple of other guests, received obsene phone calls from "in house". The staff was quick to track down the offenders and put a stop to it. The beds were comfortable. We had two beds and the 5th person's was too small. He was sleeping on a window seat. Would be okay for a child but too small for an adult. He was not comfortable. Other than that we would definitely stay again. We did NOT have a pleasant stay! The people and their unsupervised kids (brats) directly above us were jumping up and down on the floor and racing up and down the hall ways creating all kinds of noise even after quiet hour; 11:00p. After complaining to the front desk the noise never stopped. Apparently we were not the only ones to complain. We finally […] had to demand a new room well after midnight. The next morning I complained to the manager on duty and he told me there was nothing he could do unless they were being destructive. WHAT? You mean to tell me he couldn't ask them to leave after several requests? Something is wrong here! Why is it that those of us that work hard, play by the rules are the ones that are punished? I fully intend to follow up on this once I get back from vacation. Until then, do yourself a favor and start thinking of someone other than yourself! Mehr

everything was clean and nice

The hotel is convenient and cheap. The room was reasonably clean and the bed was comfortable enough. It was a good deal for the price.

You get what you pay for except for the hotel staff. The front desk staff was great on check-in and check out. The hotel also offers discounts on nearby reataurants and attractions.

I was very pleased with hotel. I had never stayed in a Microtel before and, although small, was perfect for 1 or 2 people and it was very clean. I would recommend this hotel!

We stayed on a Friday, Saturday night. Friday was ok (probably because we arrived so late) But Saturday there were people yelling in the halls at 2 am Dogs barking off and on all night in the hotel and just general chaos, The room was clean but very small and uncomfortable and there was no maid service AT ALL during our stay. We were very happy with this hotel! The sleep was wonderful: comfy bed, no loud spring break partiers. The next morning we needed to do laundry, but didn't have any soap, and the dispenser was out too. But a lady who works there offered to go get me a jug! How awesome! Then a WONDERFUL house keeper said she had some and brought me enough for 2 loads. […] This staff went above and beyond my expectations, and made our stay there very comfortable, and restful! There were a few minor issues, but nothing that wasn't resolved with a conversation with the desk. Some of the problems seemed to be of my own making, but others were with help in the hotel. Soiled towels were taken one day and not replaced. I was able to get fresh towels from the desk. A new cable TV box was installed on my 2nd day and the packing […] materials were left in the room on the desk and on the bed. 'Micro' seems to apply, too. The room was small. It had the things it needed and the bed was comfortable. Not much room to move around in, though. Mehr

Elevator was out of service, we were on the 3rd floor. In the room, bathroom light not working correctly, shower bar was falling off the wall. We reported these problems at checkout and was told that they would be addressed and repaired immediately. Overall good stay.

When I am traveling I want a good night of rest, and a quiet atmosphere. Microtel offered this to me. This is 2nd time I have stayed at this particular hotel.

The price and location was great for me because I was passing by heading south on 75. The only thing I noticed was they needed new carpeting evrythng else was good.

It was small & clean & near the airport.

I didn't expect much. It was a 1/2 way stop on our trip and we just needed a place to sleep for the night. The Micro is right, everything is on the small side but everything is very nice. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and the rooms seem to be newly updated. The hallways and lobby smelled of smoke but once in your room there […] was no smell at all. This hotel was very clean and quiet. The desk clerk and other staff members were very friendly and curtious.We will definately stay there again.

The staff was outstanding, from the front desk to maintenance to housekeeping. All very helpful, and pleasant. Decent continental breakfast, and you can't beat the price. Very comfortable room, close to shopping and many restaurants. Only about 15 minutes from downtown Cincinnati where prices are at least double. Would definately stay here again.

Everything was very satisfactory except the filthy carpets in the room. The staff told me they were aware of the problem and that the carpets are going to be replaced. Once that is taken care of, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

This is a very clean hotel and the employees are very friendly. I will stay here again!

The employees were freindly and helpful. The breakfsst included with the room had a very good variety of food. The room was pleasant and clean.

We were looking for a place to sleep overnight after arriving late to the Cincinnati airport. This hotel offered free airport shuttle service at midnight - something I did not find at other hotels at this price range. The breakfast was fine (hard-boiled eggs, pastries, cereal). We loved all of the extra perks you recieved for staying there that we did not know about. Also it was the first hotel I have been to that when there was something that was not done when they cleaned your room they actually left you a note saying why which was nice seeing how sometimes you have no clue why they do not do certain things. It was also […] located a mile from Wal-Mart, the mall, and a bunch of nice restaurants, and was only ten minutes away from Cincinnati. Mehr

This was a great location for me not that far from Paul Brown my wife and I will be staying here from here on during the jazzfest

needs improvement

The hotel was in a good location for my needs and the airport shuttle a plus. However, the room had badly stained and worn carpet and upholstery giving it a "dirty" appearance even though it was clean.

The rooms were outdated and needs to be remodeled. During my stay, my neighbors were very noisy. I asked to be moved to another room. Though I relocated to another room, the staff never said that they were sorry. To top matters off, the new room had loud neighbors too. I would not stay at this hotel again, simply put.

First of all, our room was not a "suite". just a queen bed and a pullout seperated by a kitchenette island. The room was very dirty from the carpet to the bedspread. The pullout was very uncomfortable as well as stained. A few of us with allergies awoke the next morning awoke to stuffed sinuses and watery eyes.

carpet was dirty and needed to be cleaned and the blow dryer holder was just about falling off the wall but the beds were comfy and everything worked ok. I did ask for a smoking room and was put in a non smoking room. A little hard to find in the dark. Comfortable, basic room with good bed and shower. Free shuttle service to and from airport works well. Complimentary, continental breakfast not fancy but fulfilling although lacking fresh fruit. Very good deal considering somewhat closer hotels to airport were 3x as expensive.
