Das Tara Towers Hotel ist sauber, die Angestellten sind hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend und der Preis ist sehr fair. Leider liegt das Hotel etwas außerhalb. Die Bushaltestelle ist zwar gleich vor dem Hotel, aber die Frequenz der Busse nimmt zum Abend hin stark ab. Taxis sind allerdings nicht allzu teuer, das ist also kein großes Problem.

Hotel liegt günstig an der Bushaltestellem, die Fahrt ins Centrum dauert ca 15 Min. die eher kurzweilig ist, das Frühstück war nichts für meinen Geschmack, da englisch mit heißen fettigen Würstchen, Bacon, Bohnen, gegrillten Tomaten, es gab noch Toastbrot, Käsestückchen u. fFrischkäse,ich wurde aber trotzdem satt, das Personal war sehr freundlich, der […] Nachtprortier hat uns für die Rückreise extra 2 Toastbrote zubereitet.Das Hotel sieht von außen nichtssagend aus (weißer Kasten), ist innen aber sehr gemütlich. staff very friendly and informative. room clean, warm, comfortable and a good size. stairway carpets a litle frayed & tired. great base for the Aviva stadium and bus and DART to the city centre. will definitely visit again

as my wife was staying in a nearby hospital i was trying to be as close as possible to my wife for visiting anyway the hotel is fine and very comfortable and very peaceful and with plenty of parking with great staff who were helpful when called upon i would recommend this and i would stay again

The hotel was better than we expected. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable and the rooms were clean and tidy, although the curtains in the bedrooms leave alot to be desired (shabby with holes and tears). We did not order breakfast but ate in the bar and whilst the soup was delicious, we would not recommend dessert (it tasted stale). First room they tried to put me in was terrible, paper peeling off wall, awful, second one a little better, after a lot of complaining got a third room that was nice. View of Dubin Bay, king sized bed, tiny bathroom, but OK

bulbs gone in over head lamb . very tatty furniture bathroom needs a lot of work . Breakfast very good and staff very nice . All in all hotel could do with a bit of work . But great location and would stay again.

Hotel personnel made our stay very welcome, an excellent hotel for our need, and with help for booking transport excursions etc, thanks for a great weekend

The people are very polite and helpful. The food was reasonable. However the owners need to invest maintanance as the decore very dated and the socket fittings loose and when travelling with young children you have to watch as I wouldn't trust the sockets

Very friendly staff- nice bar that I felt comfotable having a bar meal & drink in on my own. Room very comfortable nice and quiet. Room warm but you could open window and radiators controls worked so I made use of them. Bus stop outside door if you feel like using public transport- Dart train service across the road.Good car park if you have one.

breakfast is expensive but you can eat as much as you like very close to city centre if you dont like driving buses are very regular to the city 3 miles away 10 min drive to airport.all in all good value for your money.

Having just returned from a 4 night stay at Tara Towers, we were a little optimistic having read the online reviews on what to expect and I had half wanted to cancel. It just goes to show you that people should ignore what others write and judge from their own perception and experience. We were delighted by the warm welcome, the comfortable and CLEAN […] rooms and the fantastic sea view that we will surely be returning. We enjoyed a meal in Tara Towers and it was definitely 8 out of 10. I have no negative points to say about this hotel, and think it gets a very unfair negative review from travellers. Mehr

myself and my husband were in bar saturday afternoon watching rugby half hour into game when barman switch station to football when told him we were watching it his reply was he had promised these people that just walked into bar that they could watch football i told barman i was not happy .end result we did get to some of game.

Lobby and bar/restaurant are fine. rooms are a bit smelly, dirty and dated. Price was very good tho'

This hotel was only 3 star so I wasn't expecting luxury but basic cleanliness is a must. The windows were covered in cobwebs and behind the furniture was positively frightening. The curtains were in tatters and anything wooden in the room was chipped. Don't stay here!

Best thing was the check in - very efficient and they had our booking to hand. However, the room we had at the front on the first floor was dire. Carpets were sticky, furniture dirty and dusty. Almost all paint chipped and peeling. General decor very old fashioned. Lamp shades dirty and stained. Bathroom: dirty, ceiling paint blistering, shower head […] dirty, mould in grouting. On the plus side the bedding was simple white good quality cotton and the towels clean albeit a bit on the hard side. There is a bus to the town centre just outside - takes 20 mins but there are better hotels for similar money nearer the town centre if your mission is a city break. There are some better rooms apparently at the back which would be the ones to book but I understand that they were only just OK. Personally I'd give it a miss. Mehr

A nice hotel in a good location to access city centre. Didn't eat evening meal there as I was meeting friends for dinner in the city but buffet breakfast was very good. Not a problem getting a taxi back to the hotel that night and it was late – I have stayed further out before and taxis often don’t want to take you as they cannot pick up a return […] fare. Room was very clean and not too warm - a pet hate of mine as I cannot sleep if the room is too warm. For anyone on the south side of the city the hotel is a good choice and good value. Very good value and close to st Vincents hospital in South Dublin and buses / darts to Dublin. Also good parks nearby at sea front. Very busy road directly outside but sound proofing fine. Some of the staff were very helpful but some at the desk were quiet abrupt. Getting the best deal for an extension of your stay was not straight forward.

We booked a double and triple room for 2 nights. We arrived at the hotel at 2pm which was check in time and we were told the 'rooms' were not ready and to leave our bags which we were happy to do. We arrived back to the hotel around 7.30pm and we were told because we booked on the internet (through your website ) there was a mix up with the booking […] and they only had one room for all 5 of us. I feel the hotel was totally overbooked that night and as it was late and the hotel offered us breakfast on both mornings we accepted, however breakfast was poor. We asked the receptionist for advice on buses to the city centre and she told us the stop was outside the hotel which it was but then we discovered as it was a Sunday the next bus wasnt for an hour - I think she should have taken the trouble to check this out for us. I was very happy with the Hotel that I stayed in as I found it very wheelchair accessible and my room met all my requirments that I needed as a wheelchair user.

The hotel was very comfortable and brightly decorated. It does not look as impressive from the outside. I have already recommended it to family and friends.

Overall reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. Was staying in a three bedded room with my two teen daughters. Room did feel a little cramped. I had stayed in this hotel with the 2 kids a year previously and had a much more spacious room. Beds however were comfortable with nice white linen

the experience was fine except for the bed it was extremely un comfortable.

We got the bus directly to the city centre from outside and the Dart Train took us to within a five minute walk. Very close to the hospital . Very comfortable bar and the food was really tasty. Rooms a bit tired, but warm and clean.

Nice, clean and most importantly relatively cheap hotel. Everything was as expected, no hidden charges, etc. Room was spacious. The only contra I could say about it is the distance from city center. Other than this, even location is okay, it has a view to the sea and there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Bus No 7 - takes you to city center, […] runs every 10 mins Aircoach - takes you to the airport, runs 24 hours a day, about every 30-60 mins, definitely an alternative to taxis. Mehr

We stayed here on the night of the Michael Buble concert so everywhere around was quite busy.The hotel car park was on a first come basis.So parking is not gauranteed.It's stated that the Hotel is with in walking distance to the Aviva Stadium but thats not the case.We had to take a taxi there and back.We also felt that the rooms were a bit dated.On […] my next trip to Dublin I would try somewhere different to stay.... the hotel looked fairly shabby from the outside.reception and bar area were fine but once we got into the lift it went downhill.very old fashioned,lights flickering in the corridor,rooms were extremely dated,furniture in room was badly torn,and best of all....I'm 5 11,and had to actually duck down to wash my hair in the showere that was designed for […] hobbits. A good 3 star hotel with spacious rooms. Decor could do with a freshen up, i.e. curtains were torn. 5 mins walk from the DART station, which takes 10mins into city centre.Fantastic views over Dublin Bay if you get a room to the front of the hotel. Good range of facilities in room. Many years since i stayed there before.No real change.Cheap and cheerful convenient location to Dublin and Dun Laoghaire.Some paintwork in room a bit grubby. Overall for what we paid good value.
