Microtel Inn And Suites Charlot - Kannapolis

Our only complaint was that from our reservation we were lede to believe that the rooms all had cofee makers and a small refrigerator. We were told that that only applied to the larger rooms. Minor problem - we made do with an ice chest for our stay.

We tried a new hotel chain instead of the usual one when visiting family. We visited a Microtel in our home town and was impressed by the cleanliness and features that it had and therefore booked the Microtel in the area we were visiting. The first room we entered had worn carpeting, a door missing from the closet, a musty odor and a dirty refrigerator. […] The next room was better, the the overall appearance of the hotel was disappointing. For a very economical short stay, this facility did the trick. Contrary to several other reviews, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The front desk was courteous and accomodating. Maintenance resolved a minor bathroom problem within minutes of informing the staff.

My husband & I booked a non-smoking room. The room we were given on the 2nd floor REEKED of smoke; turned the bedspread down and found multiple cigarette burns on it. The carpet was nasty & the towels were threadbare. On the plus side, the front desk clerk was friendly & fortunately there was another room on the 1st floor in better condition; although […] I wouldn't recommend even walking on the carpet w/ socks on. If there hadn't been that one room, we would have been out our money b/c we wouldn't have stayed in that first room. Do yourself a favor & pay a little extra for a better hotel. Mehr

The hotel looks NOTHING like it does in the pictures. When we drove up to it we actually thought it was closed down because the outside looked so decrepit. Our room smelled HORRIBLE which we later figured out was probably due to the fact that the AC unit was leaking/sweating water all over the floor. This was a good motel. The staff was great, adequate continential breakfast, comfortable room with fridge and microwave, comfortable beds, within walking distance of at least 3 restaurants and a strip mall. Short hop (~9 miles to Charlotte motor speedway and ZMAX dragstrip). Right on the I-85 interstate easy on and off. Short hop (~15 miles to downtown […] Charlotte). I would recommend this to any who need a clean room and comfortable bed. The only thing they lack was a coffee pot in the room, but you can get it downstairs. We've stayed there two years in a row and we were satisfied each time, will stay there again next year. Mehr

Location was convenient and the price was good. A good place to go if you are passing through or just need a place to sleep.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Microtel in Kannapolis. It was close to restaurants, not far from the event I was in the area to attend. Well worth the money.

I booked ahead online. I told the Clerk in the lobby my name and immediately she handed me my room key and off I went to my room. Short, sweet and to the point. The place was clean and with three kids the window bed at Microtels always come in very handy. Breakfast was the usual coffee waffle go. All in all a nice quick stay.

I like my stay at this hotel most of all because of the easiness of getting in and out and the closeness to the shopping center(cloverleaf plaza) and Ihop. My only knock was the exposed outlets in the room(either bolts were lose or no cover at all) Hopefully by the time this is read, the property may have improved on the maintenance.

I rode down to Concord, NC with my mother, brother and sister. The picture on the internet of the Microtel in Concord look nice, plus the price was right. I made reservations about 3 weeks in advance. Checking in was a breeze as was checking out. The room that my brother and I stayed in was 218 and my sister and mom was in 216. We didn't have a problem […] with our room, but my sister and mom had a problem. Their toilet clogged up. A maintenance man couldn't be found. My sister and mother chose to move to another room. The rest of the trip was uneventful. Mehr
