Wir haben in der Neujahrszeit mit unserer zwei Kleinkinder das Hotel bewohnt und fanden es für unsere Bedürfnisse sehr geeignet. Das Hotel war sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich, und einfach "alles in Ordnung". Da es in unmittelbare Nähe zur Wohngebiet unsere dort ansässige Familie liegt, werden wir uns in alle wahrscheinlichkeit dort wieder zurückfinden.

Es handelt sich nicht um ein Fünf Sterne Hotel und ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Aber das Zimmer war tadellos und das Personal sehr freundlich. Insbesondere die (kostenlosen) Nachmittagsdrinks fand ich sehr gelungen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder buchen.

Das Hotel war ganz OK. Housekeeping nur einmal die Woche. Zielgruppe sind ganz klar Angehörige von Patienten im nahen Medical Center. Ich würde dort wieder zwei-drei mal übernachten. Die Umgebung war ein wenig laut (Eisenbahntrasse in der Nähe, Technikgebäude des Medical Center direkt hinterm Haus). Houston Zoo und Science Museum noch zu Fuß erreichbar, alles andere mit Auto.

"Tiny and smelled of wet dog"
Let me start off by saying that the woman at the front was very helpful and kind. But, once I made it up to the room, it was very small. It smelled like a wet dog and that only got worse when I turned on the air conditioner. Luckily, there was a CVS next door and I bought something to relieve the smell.

The stay at this hotel was exceptional, the staff was great. The room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. Everything was so close to us and the scenery was beautiful. The breakfast was great, we will defiantly stay again.

"Great weekend spot."
Nice and clean, a/c wasn't working right so kinda warm. Very nice helpful staff. Great location. Would stay here again, great shopping area and resturants.

There were bugs in the bed that we woke up with bites all over us. It looked dark and dreary and just wasn't very functional. I was hoping to get at least 1/2 of our money back due to the condition of our room. Sorry.

I think Microtel Inn was okey for that price, but some changes need to be done for that. I read the review on-line before I chose, but I don't ususlly trust the reviews. The room was very small, door wasn't closed completely, toilet was clogged once, only three tables for the breakfast. The good things that it was easy to find the location, close to […] many restaurants, and the best one that they had some discounts for the space center. Mehr

"Dirty and Smelly"
The room had a very strong odor. It was if there was a bad smell and they tried to cover it up with something else that smelled stronger. The smell was over powering and we were afraid we might get a headache so we asked to see another room. The second room they showed us was filled with aunts. You get what you pay for with this one. The room was clean and I felt safe but it was very small. I was unimpressed with the attitude of the staff upon check in but the lady at check out was more than accommodating. The continental was nice. Overall a fine place to crash for a night; which served my purpose very well.

They would have gotten 5's for everything but both doors and the doors of our friends rooms did not fit properly and would 'stick' closed
the only thing I missed was that breakfast was not encluded in the price of the room and to have your breakfast is not worth the large extra amount of money. I can go to Ihop and have a huge breakfast for much much less. That is the only negative I feel about Microtel. I use to look forward to the convenience of having breakfast there but the convenience […] is not worth the price of your breakfast. I will probably consider staying somewhere else next time. Reading Reviews before booking, I was a little nervous but thought I would take the chance and it was only for one night. Room was small but comfortable. Walls were paper thin. "Will never stay in Mircotel again"
This hotel was substandard, even by 2 star standards. Even though we were in a no smoking room the sheets had cigarette burns. The comforter was dirty. The lobby smelled of sewer. The receptionist stated that the situation had been taken care of. I should have run then. The breakfast area only had a few tables, not near the amount most Hampton and Drury […] Inns have. The hotel advertised a hot breakfast. This ws a misrepresentation. Hotels that advertise a hot breakfast typically have egss, sausage or bacon, grits or oatmeal, and biscuits and gravy. This hotel only had heated up frozen egg patties. Food was not worth the wait, so we had breakfast elsewhere. The room had chipped paint on the door and walls. The whole hotel showed a definite lack of maintenance. On a scale of A to F, rhis place gets a D. And to think, Consumers Reports gave Microtel a good rating. The door to the room would not close completly unless it was pulled together. The cleaning person did not do this and we arrived with the room doom cracked open. It was reported. My husband and I only stayed for one night, but it was perfect for just that. We did want to go swimming but the there were about 6 people there and it was crowded. It's very small to say the least. And the rooms are small as well we got a one bed queen size. If we would have stayed more than 3 days I think the room would not have worked for us. "Microtel Kemah Adventure"
The hotel is very close to Boardwalk in Kemah. It's in an excellent spot being right across from the Johnson Space Center, next to a Luby's, and directly in front of it is a CVS. It is nice if you are "just" looking for somewhere to lay your head for the evening. It was fairly clean but definitely needs some maintenance in the rooms especially the restrooms […] or at least the one we were in. Other than that, it was okay. "Get exactly what you pay for"
I chose this hotel based on the price alone. I was coming to town for business and the hotel was very close to where I was working. All I can say is the name is very accurate. The room was maybe 50 square feet. Very tiny, the shower had very little water pressure, the shower curtain wouldn't stay across, the bed was very small. The entire hotel was […] completely out-dated and the "breakfast" was a complete joke. It was 3-week old stale bagels and cereal. I wasn't expecting this quality of a 2 star hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was more than I expected. I would give this hotel a 3 star rating out of 5, as opppsed to a 2.5 rating.
"Microtel - NASA; GREAT LOCATION for the JSC"
This is THE place to stay if you are visiting the Johnson Space Center. If you want to save $6 for parking at the JSC, you can park here and literally walk across the street to the JSC Visitor Center. There is a Luby's in front of the Microtel so you have food available; it is a great location. The Microtel is an OK 3-star motel. The only problem we […] had was we requested a non-smoking room. We got one but the room next door was a "smoking" room and the occupants smoked heavily. We had smoke coming through the wall into our room and it was so bad we asked to be moved to another location. Fortunately, the manager moved us right away and the rest of the night was uneventful. The bed was comfortable but we did not eat the "continental" breakfast buffet. We prefer an eggs/meat breakfast when we are on the road and they clearly did not include those items in their buffet. But at the low rate we got on the room, we could afford to go get a full breakfast elsewhere. The room was very clean so the accommodations were fine. Mehr
"Microtel NASA - hard beds!"
The lady that greeted us at the desk was marvelous! Told us about all the sights and gave us coupons and recommended a FABULOUS Greek restaurant close by. The beds were hard as rocks, though. All 4 of us did not sleep well at all. Otherwise, everything else was great. Price and location were perfect.

This is nice place for decent price. The hotel offered all the facilities as advertised and everything was hassle free. The staff is very co-operative too. My only wish is that they should include more variety in their breakfast offering, it is too limited.
