"the beds were terrible"
The beds were so uncomfortable we couldn't even sleep. Very hard. The look of the room was fine.
"overpriced"
Nice Holiday Inn-like room with a safe, coffee maker and fridge but no mircrowave. The ac did not work properly. Fortunately, it cooled off at night. This hotel seemed very overproced, even for Jasper. Given its setting, the Fairmont would have been a better value at just a bit more.

"Decent stay along with teenage kids."
The hotel was very clean. Our room was well maintained. The hotel landscape of building gives it that mountainous feeling. the pool was ok. The staff were very friendly. Although there was a small charge for the use of a cot, the room was very nice. There was not a complimentary breakfast, so we had to eat breakfast offsite. The price of the room was […] a little high without the meal, but then again its a tourist town. We all had a very decent sleep as the beds were very comfy. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Mehr

"Chateau Jasper - worth a repeat visit"
Located just a few blocks from the main town centre. Close to everything yet quiet enough to relax. Clean and modern room with two sinks - one inside the bathroom and one outside. What a thoughtful design. Reasonably priced restaurant inside the hotel.

Only issuse we experienced was that the wireless internet was very poor. We received a stronger signal from the neighbouring hotel than our own which says something about the location of the access points in this hotel. Apart from that we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

"Very Pricey with poor food"
For on season rates this room was very pricey. The food in the restaurant (dinner menue) was not good!
"Better than Jasper average"
The hotel was very clean, though expensive for what you got. The rooms were decent, and the front desk gave us a coupon book that had a coupon for the hotel restaurant. All was good, I just can't get over how expensive hotels are in Jasper Alberta.

Everything was good except the internet. The hotel used a service called 'FatPort' and when it worked it was okay, but getting on was difficult. Especially with an iPhone (4.0). The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good but a little expensive. If your planning on hiking for a weekend and would like the comforts of the hottub afterwards to relax and care to sore muscles. Extremely comfortable and clean with good range of food in restaurant.and sensibly priced. Hotel itself was very pricey but cheap for Jasper.

"Very good stay"
We were travelling from Banff to Jasper and sightseeing along the way. The Chateau Jasper was a great stay, very clean and quiet. The rooms are large (2 queen beds) and roomy. Very friendly front desk staff.

The hotel was clean, however we found the bed uncomfortable, the pool and hot tub were both FREEZING, and there is no movie service available for the TV's. All made for an uncomfortable stay.
"Chateaux Jasper value hotel in Jasper"
The location of Chateaux Jasper was great-within walking distance of everything and on site restaurant. The rooms were clean and spacious but the air conditioner was excessively noisy and didn't put out any cool air--had to turn unit off. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were way past their due date-flat and lumpy.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of May, before the start of the tourist season. The city felt still a bit asleep, which suited us just fine. The hotel was ok, it's about a 10 minute walk to the center with restaurants and shops. Our room was a bit dark but very large, which was nice. This hotel was the perfect one night stop at Jasper. We actually turned up one night prior to that booked, but the staff quickly changed our booking without charge for which we were very grateful. Stayed on Friday, May 6th 2011. Check in and Check out were a breeze. Hotel room was spotless, very clean and confortable. Reasonable rates. Would stay here again for sure.

The overall rating of the Chateau Jasper is excellent. Even though the hotel is slightly older the lobby, hallways and best of all the room were exceptionally clean. The rugs were very clean and we felt very safe and secure in the building. The only up grade to the rooms would be for queen sized beds in place of the doubles. "Friendly and efficient"
Friendly staff, helpful, and professional. They looked after a bag for us while we were ski touring for a few days (we were checking back in). We didn't use the restaurant, because we could explore town and eat out there. No noise at night - much quieter than any Banff hotels we have stayed in.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Chateau Jasper. Our room was very nice and clean. The location was easy to find and closer to all amenities...Staff were nice and friendly.There is also a restaurant right in the hotel so you don't really have to go out if you don't want to. I found the hotel was well kept , the staff was friendly and the beds were very comfortable . Room was very clean and the towels and bedding were like new . two thumbs up !
"Neat and tidy but a bit old."
The hotel is what you would expect of a 3 star. Staff are pleasant and friendly but the furnishing are a bit dated. Thehotel walls are thin and can clearly hear people all around and above in their rooms. But, for a 3 star the service iwas more than comfortable.

Our stay was very good , the housekeping service was wonderful, the pool was useful at this time of the year. Although Little older hotel but kept in good shape. The fridge in the suite are small in size.

stayed at Chateau Jasper for 3 nights, 3 women in the room. loved the seperate tub/shower/toilet area with sinks not only in the bathroom but another sink outside tha bathroom and when you have 3 women getting ready that was wonderful. Staff very friendly/helpful/accomodating, restaurant nice and clean food good, and Im a real foody so thats saying […] something.only downside was a very icy parking lot and not enough plug-ins in the room. Forgot to mention that the hotel looked as if it were just renovated. Will definitely stay there again Mehr

Although we stayed one nigh only. I found that customer service was very poor. We were on a road trip. I used their computer located at their lounge to book a hotel for our next stop. When I asked the front person if I can print one page, he said that it was not possible. Also at their arrival, they did not offer any help to carry our luggage to our […] rooms when they saw that we also have to carry two tired toddlers (two and four years old). Mehr
"Watch your charges."
I was not impressed with the experience at all. When booking I was told that I would have a single King size bed and then when I arrived there were two double beds. when I called the front desk they said I was S.O.L for the first night but that I could move the next day in the middle of the day.This meant we had to rearrange our activities, to come […] bck and check in so that we did not miss put on it again. Then upon check out I did not receive a receipt and did not think to ask for one when I was told I was all good to go. Only to find out that I had been charged $ 180.00 additional on top of the hotel stay. when I contacted the credit card company they told me to call the hotel and the hotel re directed me back to the credit card company. The hotel said any charges for pre auth should be reversed within 24 hours of check out.I finally spoke to an accounting manager that told me the charge should be reversed within a few days. I will not stay at this hotel again. Mehr

"Chateau Jasper--quiet, comfortable room"
considering there were a couple of hockey teams in the hotel, our room was quiet, peaceful and very comfortable. Don't waste your time in the restaurant. Service slow, meals slow and food not that great. Go to Papa George's for dinner ---- for a beautiful view, and an incredible meal.
