The facilities were amazing, the staff was attentive and helpful, and the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. The trail to the state park is a must do and offered spectacular views of the ocean and cliffs as well as great exercise. One of the best places I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.

We went to So. Cal. for spring break and chose to stay at The Lodge at Torrey PInes even though none of up play golf. What a great choice that was! True to it's name, it is a Lodge, with loads of polished wood, stained glass windows and lamps, huge rooms, quiet porches, and glorious views of the golf course and Pacific. The staff is outstandingly attentive. […] There are Torrey pine trees everywhere. We did take a golf lession and spent hours swinging away at the driving range. No one minded that we were so terrible. It is hard to find a reason to leave the grounds, but The Lodge has easy access to I-5 and the coast highway, and is a short walk to hiking in the Torrey Pines Reserve. The malls, shopping, and restaurants of Del Mar and La Jolla are minutes away. We took surfing lessions in Del Mar, visit the Gemnological Institute in Carlsbad, and even went indoor skydiving In Perris, and all this adventure was within a few minutes of The Lodge (well, Perris was 90 minutes away). Our 15 year old son has traveled with us all over the world and he labeled The Lodge as the best hotel he has ever visited and this trip as one of his most enjoyable. I would heartily recommend The Lodge at Torrey Pines to anyone looking for an elegant, quiet, and superbly located place to say in the San Diego area. Mehr

The entire experience was just class from when you are greeted to check out. The rooms were large with a walk out balcany. Toiletries lotion, shampoo etc... were very nice. We enjoyed the brunch with view, workout room and quiet lounge for a drink in the evening. Next time in the San Diego area, this is where we will stay!

This is truly a superb hotel. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more accomodating during the entire trip. And they do it in such a laid back way. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the setting wonderful.

We are an active couple in our 50's and spent the week between Christmas and New Year's Day at Torrey Pines. We are not giant golfers. We spent six days at the Lodge and enjoyed walking through the Torrey Pines Preserve, the beach, Del Mar and La Jolla. The breakfast at the Lodge is superb. Itis served near the golf center, with views if the beach, […] with an amazing assortment of both healthy, griddle and egg dishes. The oatmeal is served with a delicious array of dried berries and currants. Maple syrup was provided for this New Englander without the blink of an eye. The ham, gruyere and roasted peppers omelette was particularly outstanding. They serve a local brand of coffee, Ryan Brothers, roasted in San Diego, that is spectacular. We really enjoyed it and we are coffee purists who grind and french press our beans every morning. The Staff to the man and woman were helpful, pleasant and smiling. Quite enjoyed that frankly. The room, a signature king, was amply sized, had a desk and an easy chair, and we found it comfortable. The bathroom is huge and the soap and shampoo amenities were so unique, I confess to leaving with some in my bag. I brought my clubs but did not play. This is more a testament to all the things there are to do in La Jolla besides play golf. Take several walks in the preserve, along the beach, explore the village of Del Mar and Solana Beach, to the North, visit the Birch Aquarium if you have children under 14 with you or if you wish to, and tour UC at San Diego, known for famous architecture, including the Salk Institute. Finally, enjoy seal cove and all of the sights in La Jolla. Even before one considers the wine country in North Orange County or San Diego attractions, there is plenty to do close to The Lodge at Torrey Pines for the non golfer. ANd if you do golf, well, one of America's most beautiful courses is right out your back door, with views of the Pines, mountains and the Pacific. My wife and I went to The Lodge at Torrey Pines to celebrate our 15th anniversary. It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful place. The staff was outstanding and we can't wait to go back again.

Everything top notch. Would definitely stay again.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines was fantastic. We would definitely stay there again. The room was super clean and very large. The service was great too.

Loved staying here. The location and hotel grounds were wonderful. There was a great walk through Torrey Pines National Park that lead down to the beach. Hotel staff was very accomodating.

Only a few steps from the first tee at one of the world's premier golf courses, where else can you get spectacular ocean views, immaculately maintained grounds, an abundance of amenities and a committed staff? The South Course is a must, but try to experience Torrey Pines North as well -- slightly less challenging, but you will enjoy the virtually identical […] mesmerizing panoramas with the confidence of planning your visit to a year-round temperate seaside climate and that same well-trained staff highly motivated to make your stay a memorable one. Not a golfer? No problem. The Lodge offers a wide range of outdoor and indoor activities. Go for a spa treatment, take a leisurely hike along one of the many trails or work out in the fully equipped fitness center. Alternatively, The La Jolla/ Del Mar area boasts the best venues California has to offer for shopping and dining. But if you don't want to leave the hotel, The Lodge's signature restaurant, Valentin, will not disappoint. Can't miss. Mehr

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very quiet, clean and well maintained and the staff was courteous and refreshingly enthusiastic. The grounds are immaculate and located next to the Torrey Pines Reserve, which provides miles of scenic trails for hiking that quite literally start outside the Lodges front entrance. The Lodge is not on a huge piece of property, but because it is right adjacent to the Torrey Pines Golf Course, it feels ver expansive. The rooms are very nicely appointed and the bath amenities are top notch. The Spa treatments are excellent and we even used the steam and sauna in the locker rooms. The gym has nice equipments and I noticed that […] a staff member will go in every 15 mins to check that the towels are well stacked and everything is in order. Quite impressive. We had dinner at the A R Valentien and it was truly a dining experience. It wasn't cheap but well worth the price. The wine list has a very nice collection of Californian wines and the markups are reasonable. All in all, the service at the hotel is intimate and extremely attentive, yet not over bearing. Mehr

I typically try to stay at less expensive places but realized that once they tack on resort fees, parking, internet and other charges it costs about the same as the Lodge. What an amazing place, great design, quiet rooms, beautiful grounds. It was a really nice experience.

This was an incredible place to stay. Have one of the best hamburgers you'll ever eat, play one of the best golf courses you'll ever play and be served by some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I'll be back for sure!!

This hotel is a gem. Nicely located, with view on the golf course and the ocean. Perfectly welcomed. room huge, clean, nice, bed super comfortable, bath room super nice.... Loved it. The only "bad" side: the parking: valet parking is $27 and self parking is $22...

Whereas this is a nice hotel, it does not deserve a 5 star rating. It falls somewhere between a 3.5 and a 4.

Hotel was prepaid, however when we checked in we were asked for a card for "incidentals". I specifically asked if my account was going to be affected and I was told no. When we got home from our vacation I checked my bank statement and noticed I had overdraft transfers even though we had enough money in our account. I called the bank to find out why […] and was told Torrey Pines had put a hold on our account. When I called Torrey Pines about this I was told this was common and they did not offer up a reason why I was not told this when I asked. Fortunately we used another account to cover our other vacation expenses otherwise our vacation would have been ruined due to the hold on the account. Mehr

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. The rooms were very nice, very clean and kept up to date. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Overall it was a great stay in San Diego. The ony problem was that one night was too short to enjoy all that The Lodge had to offer. I definitely reccomend staying here!

太漂亮的酒店，很想再住一次。

Vi bodde här tre nätter med våra två barn 10, 14 år. Hotellet ligger bra till intill en mkt fin golfbana och nära till La Jolla shore och centrum där det finns bra restaurang alternativ. Poolen är fin och naturreservated intill ypperligt till promenader eller jogging.
