The room itself was fair, but for a suite it was claustrophobic! You can't hardly get around the room. Our stay was during a heat wave & they don't allow the AC to be on while not in the room. We were in town for a basketball tournament expecting to cool down in our room between games & that was not the case! When settling for the pool we were driven […] out by unruly guests of what apperaed to be the maids. Front desk staff was exceptionally professional and nice!

My girlfriend and I attended Picnic Day in Davis, CA. We decided to stay at Ramada in West Sacramento the night before to avoid the crowded conditions, noise and increased hotel rates Picnic Day creates. Ramada was inexpensive, clean, very quiet, and there were plenty of rooms available. The lighting in our room was good and we appreciated the sizeable […] tv. Our shower was larger and clean. Our room came with a coffee maker, ironing board, and hair dryer in addition to standard toilettries. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within a few miles of Ramada. There is a moderate amount of noise due to Ramada's proximity to the freeway but freeway proximity proves to be much more of a convenience than a drawback. I did not find an elevator even though the hotel staff indicated there was one so my girlfriend and I ended up carrying our personal belongings up a short flight of stairs to our room on the second floor. I've stayed several times before at this hotel. The value is still good, but the free breakfast has gone way down in quality. The scrambled eggs and sausage were cold and the previously-available fruit and yogurt were not offered. I was disappointed but would still stay again, although the many noisy construction workers also staying here slam room […] doors at all hours; they could be a big reason to go elsewhere. Mehr

I enjoy staying here as a nice alternative to staying in Davis (which can be expensive depending what is going on at UCD). I have never had a bad stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is a bit dated but it is well maintained. The staff are always helpful and friendly! The buffet breakfast appears to be nice (people seem to enjoy it) but […] I am a vegan (with food allergies) and the buffet does not cater to my needs. This was a decent hotel with good availability very close to UC Davis. Getting a room in Davis can be challenging, and this is only 10 minutes away, and right off the freeway. My daughter will be going to Davis for the next 8 years, and I think I'll be staying here on my visits.

For the price, a good hotel.

Was very nice stay - quiet and restful.

The check-in was really fast and the staff there was very friendly and knowledgeable. The room had a "septic tank" smell and had to use coffee to cover up the stink. A used shower cap was left in the shower head. Our window faced the freeway so we had to keep it closed to reduce the noise level. The drain in the bathtub was very slow with water backed […] up (kind of disgusting). Their free continential breakfast was good. They had potato wedges, eggs, sausages, bagels, cereal, fresh-made waffles, juice, coffee. Check-out process was easy too. Mehr

I have enjoyed staying at Ramada properties in the past and this place was just as I expected. It is a newer property, clean and comfortable at an affordable price. The front desk staff was friendly and Nazia made my check in a breeze.

On the plus side it was inexpensive and the room was reasonably clean and they provided a free breakfast of eggs and sausages, cereal, fruit, toast. On the negative side, the pool was unheated (unusable), the two advertised hot tubs (which the kids were looking forward to using) were both out of order, and the advertised sauna had a deadbolt lock on […] it. When I checked in and asked, they told me where the hot tubs and sauna were located and implied that they were ready for use. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. The carpet needs a good cleaning. Rain was dripping in a hallway on the first floor. At breakfast, the pile of ready to use breakfast plates had water standing in them that you had to pour out to use. How come they don't notice things like that? The final touch of cluelessness was that when I requested hot sauce for the eggs, they brought me a bottle that had maybe 4 drops of sauce in it. The woman who provided it gave me the impression that she felt that the empty bottle was the proper response to my request. No embarrassment or apology just factual, you asked for a bottle of hot sauce and this bottle has the words "hot sauce" on it, mission accomplished. I was left with the impression that the way things were was fine with the people running the hotel. We would not stay there again. Mehr

horrible, horrible, horrible. anyone who has an experience with ramada hotels in minneapolis will be shocked that this passes for a ramada. rooms were dirty, smelly and very noisy. it was a dump and any good reviews must be posted by employees. stay away!

We stayed here a few years ago and really liked it. This time, though, the room was dirty. There was mold all over the tub, and there was hair in the tub and all over the bathroom floor. They gave us one towel in the entire room. (They didn't even give us a hand towel or wash rag.) Just one towel??? They did offer to move us, though. The hotel looks very nice on the outside, but on the inside it is dated and dirty. Our room was in the back of the complex and the stairway was always dirty. The room though was cleaned everyday, the corners were never vacuumed. The bathroom stank like urine the tub wall was cracked and looked like there was mildew growing in the cracks. This was a great waypoint on my travel up the coast. I missed a freeway exit and realized I was to tire to continue for the night, stopped in here, and was very happy I did! Great location, very friendly staff, clean room, great rate and great BREAKFAST BUFFET! Def. recommended.

I would not recommend this Ramada Inn. The outside leading to foyer doors that are supposedly card entry only during non business hours are ALL inoperable. Anyone can get in. Not very secure. I would much rather go to any Residence Inn or HouseGuest Inn any day of the week.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to others who will be visiting the Sacramento area. It is just far enough out of the city that you're not in the rat race and close enough that it is a short drive to be there quickly. Freeway close.

Efficient and helpful front desk staff. Large, clean, quiet room. Good public access computers in pleasant lobby.. So-so breakfast, a bit out of the way and uninteresting location.

The beds we very uncomfortable and hard. Pillows very small not a regular size bed pillow. Took 2 hours to get extra towels. And there was a party going on in the rooms below mine and the hotel staff refused to shut them down till 2 a.m. To say the least I got very little sleep. Would not recommend this hotel. Will not stay there again!

The hotel is an older property that has been renovated. They used quality materials like granite countertops and nicer carpet but unfortunately the workmanship used in the renovations was abysmal. The switch plate in the bathroom had only two of the four screws. The light fixture in the bathroom looked like it was about to fall down. The bathroom tile […] job was shoddy. It looked like the contractors who did the work must not have had any oversight. Another problem is that the hallway carpet is in terrible shape - stains everywhere. It's too bad because they did some things right like the decor of rooms looks pretty good and stylish. Overall though, I'd much prefer to stay at another hotel. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly, and courtious, and even offered to try to hunt up some microwave popcorn for us! The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great! We would stay here again.

Hotel was OK, but bar was closed in Sunday.

The only thing that was not wonderful was my room faced the pool and there were parties both nights I stayed it was noisy until about 9PM don't know if a different room would have overcome that issue since the property is close to the freeway. Since the noise stopped before bedtime it was not a huge issue

For a quick overnight, it was a great price, and had a good breakfast. Very convenient.

Only two downfalls.... Noise and sharp (not kid safe) tables... Just keep your kids away from the night stands...also, watch out for the loose floor mats atthe doors.

Very cheap "finishes" inside of room. Bed is extremely hard, and shortcuts were made on upgrades. Not many tv stations as well. On the plus side, the service was friendly.

Hotel was decent for price. Bed was horrible; too firm for out taste.

This place was beautifully decorated, and the staff was so helpful and warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.
