Gutes und sauberes Mittelklassehotel in sehr zentraler Lage zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten. 15 Minuten bis zum Capitol!

Das Hotel liegt nur 5 min. vom Capitol entfernt und ca. 15 min. zur Union-Station. Trotzdem sollte man das Hotel im Sommer nicht am Wochenende nutzen, denn dann finden hier Poolpartys statt, die nicht nur für Hotelgäste sind. Der Pool-bereich ist dann nicht nur voll , er ist überfüllt und eigentlich nicht mehr zu benutzen. Der Pool ist danach sehr unsauber […] und für Familien nicht mehr geeignet. Das Hotel liegt zentrumsnah, die UBahn Navy Yard ist ein paar Fußminuten entfernt und somit ist ganz D.C. gut zu erschließen. Die unmittelbare Umgebung des Hotels ist wenig attraktiv, keine Geschäfte. Hotel und Zimmer sind sehr angenehm, Frühstück ist super.

Nice place to stay overnight. Good value for the price and location. Had more style than I expected. Overall, I was quite satisfied.

In all I was pleased with the hotel and my stay. I will probably stay there again. The hotel is an older hotel, but the room was clean and comfortable. It was convenient to the Washington Nationals Stadium as well as the Capitol and government buildings and sights. The Hotel was also convenient for access to the Metro public transportation. I caught […] a cab or used the hotel's shuttle to the Supreme Court building each morning and walked back to the hotel. It was about a 15-20 minute walk from the Supreme Court to the hotel. I didn't think it was in a pretty neighborhood or section of DC, but I never felt unsafe. Mehr

We use hotels.com all the time. This is the first hotel that has been completely substandard in every way. It was in a creepy industrial area, the room was in disrepair and it was dirty.

I was VERY disappointed. I was there for 6 days, they didn't clean the bathroom the entire time. When I requested the front-desk to call a cab (by the way there is NO cab stand at this hotel!) they only "remembered" when they saw me waiting in the lobby. The ONLY upside was the restaurant, they had fabulous food!

Well maintained facilty -- decor is dated, staff is helpful and friendly.

It was enjoyable, comfortable, and less expensive than other available hotels in downtown D.C.

For the price, this is a great option. We come every year for a weekend of baseball and visiting other DC sites, and this hotel provided the most convenience at a very good price.

nice hotel in excellent location walking distance to us capitol. room did not have fridge or microwave, or even a coffee machine, but room was very clean. but overall hotel had good facilities including gym, restaurant bar, pool, internet etc. value for money.

I've stayed in a number of comfortable DC hotels and I'd rate this among the best. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. Though not elaborate or seemingly expensive, the decor is interesting and fun. The service is excellent (I forgot something in my room after we checked out and one of the cleaning staff ran to the parking lot to bring […] it to me). The only drawback was that the restaurant only served brunch in the morning, rather than a breakfast menu. Nevertheless, we will be back to this hotel. Mehr

Don't stay at this hotel. They char ge way too much for parking and don't tell you about it before hand. There are no restaurants in the area, nor is there anything close by unless you are going to the baseball field. It is not walking distance to anything because there is a freeway that has no sidewalk so you are stuck walking to the metro which is […] pretty shady at night. The shuttle during the day is packed and you will wait an eternity to get into town. The restaurant in the hotel is terrible, think powdered eggs and watered down coffee, and over priced. The reviews on this site are nonsense because this place wasn't worth the $$$$. One thing and only one thing I can say good about this place is that the rooms were clean. The street noise was awful and the beds had no springs. This place needs new mattresses and a new chef. Mehr

Nice clean room for the price. Lacks a few amenities, such as room service and there is only one restaurant that is only open at meal times so you can't grab a snack or drink. Front desk is small with only one or two people to assist guests, so if you need something, toy have to be patient. The staff, however, were great under the circumstances. Hotel was about a 10 minute walk to Metro. We used Navy Yard and it worked well. Hotel provided a shuttle in morning for popular areas and in the evening for dinner spots. You were responsible to get back yourself. Hotel was a 15 minute walk to the Capitol. I would not say it was convenient but is it was affordable and worked well for us. Extended our check out time by 3 hours as my wife was not feeling well. Comfortable beds. I’ll recommend this hotel to anyone

The hotel is close to the Metro which is a huge plus because it is located a ways away from the main attractions. The cost is very reasonable and the rooms are average and very clean. Shuttle is handy and the staff was very helpful. McDonalds and Seven Eleven nearby for coffee in the morning (not provided by hotel in room) Good Choice!

The receptionist was very curtious, the room clean and the bed very comfortable. This is the first time in a long time that a hotel room had absolutely no trace of cigarette smoke!! I absolutely slept like a log! Thank you and yes, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We chose this hotel because it was the least expensive hotel, except for one in a very bad neighborhood, that we could find. It was within walking distance of the National Mall where we were attending the Reason Rally and close to a Metro stop. The morning shuttle service was very handy. The Capitol Skyline Hotel was a good option for us as we were attending an event at the convention center and didn't feel like parking in the area each day. Was roughly a $10 cab ride to/from the convention center. Rooms were satisfactory but the beds and pillows were odd. Bed too soft and pillows too hard. Upon arrival, they informed me of an outrageous daily parking fee that I declined. I parked across the street and used the convenient pay by phone feature the city has. It cost me less than half the hotel fee per day to park on the street. Purchased the Bed and Breakfast package and was not given breakfast vouchers at check-in. On Saturday we went to […] breakfast and told that we needed vouchers or pay another outrageous price for runny eggs with scallions and tomatoes, half cooked bacon, cold oatmeal, dry cereal and yogurt with fruit. Coffee was 3x the price of McDonalds per cup and was not quality coffee. Thank god there was a McDonalds across the street for my son to have breakfast and our coffee. I was told at the desk that I had not paid for the breakfast so I had to return to my room to get my receipt from Hotels.com for proof. On Sunday I woke to a bill for parking that I had declined at check in. I called the desk and waited on hold for approx. 8 minutes before hanging up and going to the desk. I was told that once I received the parking ticket, I was responsible for the charges. I informed the manager that I had not received a parking ticket and my vehicle never entered their garage. I then told him to check the garage records to confirm. I also pointed across the street showing him my car and told him that I had been parked there all weekend. He left for a few moments and returned stating that they would refund my credit card. I had to ask for a receipt reflecting the reversal of the charges. Great location for any and all DC visits for pleasure or business. Capitol Skyline Meeting facilities are also very good and well equipped. Hotel Staff are polite and professional.

This hotel description was far from true! Our bathroom ceiling was cracked and looked like it could fall at anytime. The water smelled like sewer! The neighborhood around the hotel is a horrible place and we were not comfortable walking anywhere, but had to walk to the subway since the shuttle only goes a couple of times to town. "The view" of the Capitol […] is not quite a view more like a small glimpse of the top! Overall a horrible stay and I wouldn't recommend to anyone!!!!! Mehr

Being one of the cheaper Hotels to stay, it truly was not that bad of a hotel to stay in. I wouldn’t listen to all the negative reviews. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with any questions that I had. The room was nice and all I really used it for was sleeping. I did request accommodations and the hotel was able to meet them with no problem. The […] restaurant was ok; expensive. I would suggest eating somewhere else, this includes breakfast. This was a nice hotel.. The Lobby is beautiful.....the beds were very comfortable with Down Comforters.....the air conditioner didn't work very well in getting the room very cool....not sure why....and the room had kind of a musty smell.....but Hotels do sometimes... but honestly over it was a great experience... maybe someone had spilled something […] in the room.....and that would explain the musty smell...... but good value for such a nice Hotel.... The hotel was only a 15 minute walk to the Botanic Garden and 5 more to the Indian museum. A very important service that we didn't know about was a free shuttle service to the museums in the morning and different restaurant areas in the evening (drop off only for both). Very close to down town D.C., Stadium and waterfront. our second stay and will again. rooms clean but needs new windows and treatments. on the 7th floor I could hear people talking on the street. Great veiw of the Capital!

Price was exceptional for room and breakfast . Room very pleasantly clean with comfortable bed and three chairs. Only real complaint was Wifi, not very speedy. Free courtesy bus to downtown area.Low cost taxi cab return to hotel from downtown. Look out for free breakfast, we were able to get it when we booked but other guests had to pay.

Our hotel was cleaned neatly everyday and it was always spotless. Also, the employees were so nice! That's probably the most memorable thing about this hotel. They created an atmosphere in the building that made my stay all the more comfier.

Great hotel. Local area not the best but certainly not horrible. Watch out for parking fees. Not listed and they nail you at check out for $25.00 per night. Still a great price but it should be listed as an up-front cost.

I got in the room it was clean but there was no view because the room is so moist...don't put anything in the window sill because it will be soaked because of the window condensation or anything near the window at all...I kept sneezing uncontrollably and there was mold in the clogged air conditioner...it felt really hard to breathe I immediately got […] congested...then I couldn't take a shower til the a.m. because there is poor drainage and once the maintenance man fiixed the tub drain the whole room began to smell of a sewage treatment plant...they offered another room and the drainage was poor in there to Mehr

i thought the hotel was really nice and enjoyed the cleanliness it upheld. Overall I felt that the hotel was just a hop and a skip away from the city's best diners and pubs. It was a great location, peaceful and clean, just what i was looking for in a romantic getaway
