Drains in tub need work, aside from that, place was great.

parking expensive and too far away,no validations offered by hotel. only one beverage vending machine hotel, and it was not working. Dinner was a complete disappointment, we had to send our dinners back .Morcormick & Schmidt Rest. overall i'm not coming back.

Right in the center of so many sights to see- Beautiful Pierce's Park was directly outside of our window, ( it is getting ready to open, and it is going to be beautiful, green and ecofriendly) we were very impressed! - next to the Columbus Center and the Inner Harbor, short walk from great shops and restaurants. The location was the best! Ruth's Chris' […] was in the lobby, adjacent to the hotel- Great meal! The wait staff and hotel staff were very pleasant and our anniversary stay was excellent! We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone, and we would love to stay there again! Thank you so much! Mehr

FIRST: this is my first ever review on Hotels.com. My stay was SO good i felt compelled to add one. I am writing this on the last evening of our stay while it is all still fresh in our mind. This hotel is just simply outstanding. I have stayed in many a hotel as I have crossed the globe working. This establishment and locale stand shoulder to shoulder […] with any of them. I like the fact that it is not one of the "big chains" of hotels, there was something neat about that to me and i think something that carried though to the staff and overall experience. Almost like staying at one of the nooks in Zurich or an auberge in France. Staff: The staff, each and every one of them, were exceptional. The greeters, valets, all of the counter and check in staff - great employees and I am quite sure great people. I really really felt that they cared about our stay and our overall experience. We never took in the "Crabby Nights" - allergies - but you have to commend staff that will wear a crab hat each night in a cooking demonstration. They honestly, and i swear this is not hyperbole, took care of things before I knew i wanted them. This happened on 2 separate occasions and really really made the difference. Hotel: really neat vibe and nicely stone dead quiet at night. Big atrium in the main entry way is inviting and feels good to walk back into after a few days stay. Its really really nice to be in an establishment of this quality but only have 3 floors. Its quiet and overall non-rushed experience. I also have to say how hard it must be to give me this kind of take away feeling with park construction going on just outside! Tip of the HAT! There is the seafood place and a friggin RUTH'S CHRIS attached to the hotel so how can that be bad right? Location: Simply can't be beat. If you are from a downtown or a walkable city at home this is what you want. Taxis are not required to much of the good stuff that Baltimore has to offer. great location,near everything or just a short walk away staff very helpful......enjoyed their antics with Happy Hour......very entertaining! looking forward to go back again!

Friendly hotel with great decor, comfort, events in the hotel lobby for guests to enjoy. Located on the inner harbor, everything walking distance.

Great location Rooms too warm. Vouldn't regulate heat.

Staff very professional. Room was very clean and comfortable. Will stay again when in town.

Hotel was pretty nice with two attached [overpriced ] restaurants. I was put into a room at the front of the hotel. The heater in room was either off or on [noisy] and the toilet took some patience to flush. I didn't bother complaining as I was only there for the night. At 6:15am a jackhammer attached to a backhoe started working. This was on Martin […] Luther King Day. When I called down to ask about it I was told " nobody told me " I saw very few other guests at the hotel so I don't think it was an issue of availability. It does make me wonder if they treat customers that book on this site differently. Mehr

Great location on Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The hotel was upscale with great service. the hotel staff was friendly, helpful and ready to serve. The room was first rate and the view of the harbor was wonderful. We went for a brief getaway for my wife's birthday. We will stay at Pier Five the next time we visit Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

I booked this hotel because I wanted to have a quiet getaway for a weekend. The room was huge and I was able to unpack and just veg out all weekend. There is a McCormick & Schmicks and Ruth Chris right downstairs in the hotel so you don't even have to leave the hotel to get a delicious meal, but there are TONS of restaurants and shopping and museum […] within 5 minute walking distance so you can really have a getaway that meets your needs. The hotel staff is friendly and it is tucked away nicely from the rest of the Inner Harbor so you can have a quiet weekend. Mehr

The hotel was clean. The staff was excellent. I truly enjoyed my stay.

Was in town just 2 days. Loved the hotel and its location.

Location is great if your looking for inner harbor area aquarium is right next door and tons of restaurants and shopping, hotel was a little dated but not horrible. Bathroom was pretty gross tub was stained black and was completely clogged I took a shower and the water was up to my calf muscle, it took about an hour and a half for the water to go down. […] So for the money because its def not cheapest in inner harbor I would go elsewhere! no kidding, every staff member we came in contact with was wonderful. they called us by name..they took care of every detail all of the time. they win customer service hotel over any i have ever been to. go and enjoy:)

Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy any of the amentities at Pier 5 Hotel. We attended the U2 concert, and basically dropped our bags off, left, came back late and dropped into bed, woke, then headed out. Only issue was AC was loud. Very nice hotel, we would love to stay again. We live a half hour away, so no real need. But would certainly recommend […] to friends. The Pier 5 Hotel is in a wonderful location but is not really a hotel...more like a motel. Although we paid 4 star hotel prices - the hotel was really a specialty hotel which had motel services. Also be prepared to pay an additional "destination" charge above and beyond what you paid via Hotels.com. We were originally overcharged for parking. The manager corrected the overcharge but did not send the gift certificate for future stays that he indicated he would send. (It was supposed to be an apology for the bad parking experience.) The other issue was the set-up of the room. There was too much empty space and looked like furniture was missing. We were really pleased with our stay at the Pier 5 Hotel. All of the staff was extremely well trained, and it showed in every aspect of our stay. The free shuttle to their other Inner Harbor property, made getting around the Inner Harbor area extremely easy and comfortable in the hot Baltimore weather last week. This hotel really has their act together […] and it shows. The charges for valet parking and the resort fee were explained at check-in, and were appropriate for the services we received. Our room was large, well lighted and clean. We really enjoyed having coffee on our little terrace with the harbor view. I would definitely stay here again when we come back to Baltimore. Mehr

Good location and service while we satied. Room is deffinetly small for the price. Bed wasnt that great and shade in bathroom were broken. The service after we left is uncalled for. We lost a souviner and called and asked them to check room for it and no one called back even weeks later. Also we arrived at about 5 pm, we'll after check in time, and […] still had to wait an hour for are room to be ready. We had a noisy crowd across the hall on the last night and the staff counldnt seem to quiet them. For convinence of the location is within walk distance to the harbor that was probably its best feature. Mehr

All of the employees were cheerful and very helpful. Once the front desk person saw that we had a party of 4 people, she changed us to a room with two Murphy beds so we could be more comfortable. The hotel is an easy walk to the Aquarium and the Harbor. We took the Water Taxi over to Fells Point. I would return.

I've never had better service from any hotel EVER! (I even wrote a commendation letter to the manager which is something I am usually too lazy to do). And the room is huge. Fresh flowers in the bathroom was a real unexpected touch. Beautiful hotel on the water and convenient to everything. The only drawbacks were that they were doing construction across […] the street which started at 7:30 am one morning (not the hotel's fault but request a quieter room if the construction is still ongoing), the sole vending machine was a bit uncooperative, and they could REALLY use a small table in the room if you have food delivered for more than one person (my husband had to use the bedside table while I used the desk). That said, we tried to make a reservation for next year but were a bit premature. All in all, we loved, loved, loved the Pier 5! Mehr

Most impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. A beautiful hotel, clean and well maintained. In the heart of the waterfront, within walking distance of major attractions, fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again. If you want to see Baltimore, this is place to be!

Great location, friendly helpful staff, and nice view of harbor. Went to see concert at Rams Head Live, 5 minute walk from hotel. Power Station and multitude of bars and eateries abound!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the bathroom had leaky faucets, bathtub looked dirty and old, the sounds from the lobby could be heard from our 3rd floor king room (couldn't sleep most of the night because of it). For the amount of money paid for a one night stay, I expected better. The location is central to a lot of things downtown […] so expect the high price to be for the location and not the quality of the hotel. Mehr

The Pier 5 Hotel is at a great Baltimore location at the Inner Harbor. It is one of the smaller hotels but size isn't important. The convenience to the harbor and restaurants is terrific.

This hotel is in a great location. The hotel is clean. The lobby is cozy. The decor is nice and has great amenities. I would have like a bigger bathroom but overall the room was good. We had a corner room with great views. We really did not encounter much staff except when we walked in we were greeted with a drink which was nice. I would definitely […] stay again. Mehr

Some problems at check in but they eventuallly changed my room for me, people were pretty friendly and accomodating at hotel. Great location, close to attractions and eateries.

Nice boutique style hotel, few services or amenities and not recommended for families. No Pool on site, must use shared pool with another hotel!

Get a top floor room in this hotel overlooking the water. A very nice room and view.

The only thing this Hotel has going for it is location. Just about everything else is average. There are a few things to note. Internet is sporadic. There are only a few free tv chanels. No breakfast. The overall style and decor is dated. Room would have been nicer if it was cleaned properly. Particularly the floor. There is more but, I'm sure […] you get the idea. Basically, if you put a far cheaper hotel/motel in the same location and jacked the prices up you would have the Pier 5. I know I won't be staying there again. So, if you are looking for a well styled and apointed Hotel with a great location right at the Harbor for a romantic getaway look elsewhere. If you don't care about anything other then convienance of location and have deep pockets then the Pier 5 may be for you. Mehr

Our stay at the Pier 5 Hotel was great. It is located across a short foot bridge from the aquarium and less than 5 minutes from the shops and restaurants on the inner harbor. The amenities were great. The bed was comfortable - if you like a firm mattress as I do. One thing I suggest is to ask for a harbor view room. Because I was visiting my daughter in Baltimore I chose this hotel for it's location and proximity to her home. It was Preakness Weekend, not great timing on my part as the adjoining parking lot to the property was shuttle bus central. After waiting nearly 30 minutes to get near the hotel entrance, we were pleasantly surprised at how lovely the hotel […] was. Front desk staff was friendly, the room was nice & clean. Watch out for the valet staff though, they are aggressive and grumpy. Mehr

The room was nice. Could hear neighbors very through walls even though they were not being loud. Sink in bathroom was very low as well as the shower head. Overall it was a nice place to stay for the night.

Overall, a very nice hotel, friendly staff. Only complaint is the 9.95 per day fee added for phone, internet, water, gym etc, even if you did not use any of the extras they provide. Plus, I booked the room with "free internet service", but the full fee still applies. We did take advantage of the "crabby happy hour" with complimentary wine, beer and […] crab dip, which was very nice. Mehr

Awesome location. However, My girldfriend and I arrived late to the hotel, and we wanted to eat something, however, there was no late night room service available. Parking per night was also $22.
