Good location for us. Hotel needs to be updated. Even though it is old, the bathrooms and rooms could be much nicer. Staff was pleasant.

We enjoy our stay at the hotel

The position of the hotel is OK if you need to visit the U. of Pittsburgh or Carnegie Mellon. Other than that, the hotel is in horrible conditions, the walls on the corridors are rusty in some points, the carpet is extremely old and consumed... terrible maintenance!

I stayed one night in this hotel while visiting my daughter at the University of Pittsburgh. The hotel is dated and could use some sprucing up. My room itslef was clean and the bed was firm and comfortable. If you are looking for a reasonably priced option without the frills, this is a good choice. For a visit to the University of Pittsburgh, this is very convenient. within a mile of the campus. Clean, comfortable rooms at a low rate.

It is unbelievable that this hotel would have workers working on the roof all night. It was impossibly noisy. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Wallpaper peeling everywhere in room. Light switches were filthy. Bathroom clean. Sheets clean. Nice to have Panera bread attached. Needs remodeling big time!

It was nice having the Panera Restaurant right within the hotel so we were able to have a nice breakfast before we left.

Stayed here on a visit to the University of Pittsburgh. Within a comfortable walking distance. Panera downstairs convenient for meals. Coffee in lobby, perfect. Free Shuttle took us to the bus stop for the airport. Very friendly staff. The room was pretty basic, but clean and maintained. Plan to stay there again for another campus visit.

Not worth the money they charge!!

Overall the Hotel was fine. The front desk employees were rude and not very helpful. I was promised a free continental breakfast. The front desk employee stated they donot offer breakfast.

This is an older hotel located next to the medical facility. The room fixtures are worn, but the bed was comfortable and the shower worked.

THE HOTEL WAS VERY CONVIENT FOR MY DOCTORS OFFICE VISIT. LITTLE HARD TO NAVIGATE IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA THOUGH. THANKFUL FOR A GPS!!

I found easy free parking and was quickly checked in. It is great to have Panera bread inside the same building. Thanks

I've never stayed in a Quality hotel before, and expected the worst for some reason, but it was a relatively big room, with a nice HD tv and very clean. It's close to the university district, downtown, and the south side. Bonus- Free parking!

The rooms are kept in bad shape and carpet was dirty. Toilet had some black items floating in them which was surprising. The staff was nice and courteous - however they had me in the their system as sleeping in another room...which concerned me - what if my room where I slept was rented out to someone else...scary. Price is good and having Panera Bread […] helped a lot but recommend look for something else in that area. Mehr

I had a two night stay here, and the location is pretty good; 10 minute walk to the hospitals and University of Pittsburgh campus. The desk crew the first night was very helpful and friendly. I found a bug crawling across my bed, but just assumed it was there on account of the balcony door not shutting all the way, as the rest of the room was clean. On […] the second night, there was construction in the room directly next to me that lasted until almost 10PM. I'm not talking about minor noises and voices; there was shouting, hammers, and saws running for quite a while. When I called the front desk, I was informed that there was nothing they could do about it. The next morning, I woke up and there was no water in the sink or shower. I called the front desk, and was told, "Yeah, the sixth and seventh floors are having problems too, so the whole motel must be out of water. Have a nice day." I walked down to the front desk, and was informed that there was nothing they could do about the second night. Thankfully hotels.com customer service was able to help me contact the manager after a few days of trying. The good location doesn't make up for a dirty, loud, and troublesome stay. Mehr

The entire floor I stayed on was rented out to college boys. They were completely drunk, screamin in the halls, slamming doors shut, kicking furniture, and being so loud you could hear every conversation. It remained like this from 8:00pm until 3:30am when I assume they finally passed out. I complained to the office about every 30 minutes. They told […] me they had called the police and they were going to kick them out....but they never did. Terrible. Do not go here! Mehr

Hotel is very dated. The panera bread built into the hotel with direct elevator access is probably the only saving point for this hotel. The hotel, is clean but everything from the walls to the carpet is stained. The rooms have a retro look with the forest green carpeting to the gold colored wallpaper and the antique sandal brown heaters protruding […] from the walls do little to enhance the rooms. Ran into a guest in the elevator that asked " how do you like the hotel? Me and my husband stayed here in '88 and Time hasn't touched it." not sure if she was serious but I would easily add another 15 or so years to the hotel " not being touched" will not be staying here again. Staff was friendly hotel was clean but stains everywhere and in need of at least a painting. Yikes! Mehr

Very, VERY thin walls at this hotel. Location was great for my trip but room wasn't very clean and could easily hear others in adjacent rooms. Rather old hotel that could definitely use an update

The hotel is located okay. It just isn't where I had requested to stay--close to Children' Hospital in Pgh. They woman who handled my reservation told me it was very close to the hospital. It was close to the Womens' Hospital, not the Childrens' Hospital as I had requested. Somone needs to touch up the white paint in the frme of the doorway to the […] bathroom. It is badly chipped. Stayed here during my trip to visut U of Pitt. Its right around the block from the school. If you need a place to stay for a night, it would do the job.

Overall this hotel was fine for what we wanted. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and happy to help. There was an issue with the plumbing when we got there which meant we had no running water overnight, but the hotel refunded that night's stay without even being asked. If you are after something fancy then this is not your hotel. […] If you want something that clean, friendly and comfortable to lay your head at, then this hotel is great for that Mehr

Pros: very convenient to UPMC, only 2-3 blocks away (0.2 miles). Not particularly expensive. Bathroom was clean. Cons: Not particularly cheap, either (for the quality). Place was in obviously poor condition, but bearable. I was disgusted to find that the comforter had blood stains on it. The sheets were okay. Overall, this is a barely passable place […] to stay for a not particularly cheap price. I would probably recommend one of the surrounding hotels to avoid this place even if it is for a little bit more. Mehr

quite convenient, great value, loved having the two sinks, mini-refridgerator and microwave.

Old and tired

This is an older hotel that could use a major renovation, Its major draw is that is right next to the Magee Womens Hospital and other UPMC facilities. The draw back is that there is the constant sounds of helicopters and sirens all night. It is not a bad place to stay and the rates were reasonable as long as you can sleep through the noise.
